Chapter 141: Chapter 141: The Consequences of Failing to Uphold Male Virtue

Zia briefly mentioned Vincent Sutton’s situation.

In short, when he married his first aunt, they were deeply in love.

But Vincent, being who he is, couldn’t stay faithful. He used work as an excuse to fool around outside.

Everyone thought his first aunt had gotten used to it after so many years.

No one expected her to drop two bombshells on him. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

"I heard from my cousin that Uncle went back and cried several times."

Though Nana Sutton is annoying, she can still chat a bit with Aurora Sutton and briefly updated her on the family’s situation.

As things stand now, Nana is quite pleased.

With two fewer brothers, there are two fewer people fighting over the inheritance.

Now it’s just Jody, and even though her mom is a gold-digging supermodel, she has no ambition. She just spends money and looks after Jody quietly, which satisfies Nana more than the previous sneaky stepmother.

With these recent events, Uncle is keeping a closer eye on things.

Thea Shaw sighed as she listened, "Serves him right—it’s what happens if a man doesn’t behave!"

Zia, Aurora: "..."

What a bizarre comment.

Thea still had to take Mr. Shaw to the airport in the morning, so she felt sleepy and went upstairs to bed.

She received a goodnight message from Landon Ford.

Landon: [Sweet dreams.]

Whether the dreams were sweet or not is unknown, but perhaps influenced by the KISS, Thea had some rather unhealthy dreams all night.

She felt quite sluggish when she woke up.

After freshening up, she finally became alert. She went downstairs to have breakfast and then prepared to take her father to the airport, planning to ask the family driver to give them a lift.

But Mrs. Sutton stopped her: "Hey, Thea, after you drop off your dad, come back home early. Aunt Yvette Vaughn seems to want to talk to you. She said she’d come around two in the afternoon."

Thea was startled: "Huh? Okay, why didn’t Aunt Yvette tell me?"

Mrs. Sutton said, "I went out with her for a spa this morning, and she mentioned it to me."

Thea: "Alright, I’ll come back after dropping him off."

Thea went to pick up Mr. Shaw to take him to the airport. She also bought a lot of stuff for him and Mrs. Shaw at the duty-free shop.

Before leaving, Mr. Shaw told Thea, "Your sister and I discussed this. She told us to move to Aethelgard soon since she moved into a new home there. I visited, and it’s nice, but I’m not comfortable with her staying alone in an old neighborhood."

The new company is quite remote, and it’s hard to find a decent place to rent there. Most houses are quite dated and far apart.

Mr. Shaw was worried about Chloe Shaw, being a young girl living alone, and wasn’t reassured.

Thea had already thought of this, agreeing immediately, "That sounds good. Discuss it with mom, and move to Aethelgard soon. I’ll also call mom to explain."

Seeing that Thea agreed, Mr. Shaw nodded, "Alright, I’ll discuss it with your mom. But it will take a while; I need to resign and sell some of our things before moving to avoid inconvenience."

Thea nodded, "Okay, whatever happens, make sure to call sister and me."

"Okay."

Mr. Shaw nodded with relief. Thea helped him with all the procedures and carefully reminded him of what to do after security, telling him to ask the flight attendants if he needed help. She had booked him a first-class ticket, after all.

Watching Mr. Shaw pass through security, Thea then left the airport.
