Chapter 124: Chapter 124: Buying a House

Shirley Abbott is indeed someone well-known.

When they met before, it didn’t feel like much, but now knowing this person is the one who took her identity, Aurora Sutton naturally had complex feelings.

For a moment, she admired Thea Shaw’s openness.

The frustration of having someone else take your place isn’t something that can be simply described in words.

Growing up as the youngest in the Sutton Family, she was naturally not lacking in affection. It wasn’t the affection Shirley received that bothered her; it was the thought that if Shirley hadn’t taken her identity, she wouldn’t have achieved such success.

Reflecting on her current thoughts, Aurora was suddenly enlightened, not knowing how she blurted out her inner thoughts.

Realizing it, she was startled and then looked at Thea, letting out a bitter laugh, "Would you think I’m shameless? I took your place, and you don’t mind, yet I still care about someone else taking my identity."

"That’s quite normal."

Thea said calmly, "What you care about isn’t just her taking your identity, but her mother’s identity. She’s the daughter of a mistress who usurped your position, almost got you killed. Although Benson Abbott was at the root of everything, you’d be happy only if hell froze over."

Thea patted Aurora on the shoulder, "You and I both end up in the victim’s position, though I’ve had it a bit worse. I have no grudge against you because I know it’s Benson Abbott to blame. So, you need to work hard, bring him down, reclaim the Abbott Family assets that are rightfully yours, and then mend my wounded heart."

Even though she knew Thea was intentionally teasing her, Aurora couldn’t help but laugh, "Okay!"

The two of them headed to a Kensington Group development, since they hadn’t disclosed their identities, the sales office just treated them as ordinary customers. Thea inspected here and there, finding the property quite satisfactory.

A high-end duplex apartment building, 300 square meters, with an elegant and tranquil community environment which really was not bad.

The place had a good location but wasn’t outrageously priced, around over 20 million to acquire.

While Thea and Aurora were discussing, Thea suddenly noticed Aurora’s gaze fixed in a particular direction, she followed the gaze and saw a man and a woman standing there inquiring about the property.

The woman, though well-maintained, was clearly around forty.

The man visibly young and fresh-faced, full of vibrant energy, with particularly handsome features.

Thea assumed they were mother and son, not thinking much of it.

But then the young man also noticed Aurora Sutton.

The smile on his face quickly froze, and he became somewhat awkward, turning away and listening to the woman next to him talk to the sales representative.

Thea immediately whispered with curiosity, "Don’t tell me that’s your boyfriend."

Aurora shook her head at once, "Of course not."

She seemed to have difficulty explaining the man’s identity.

She did know the man; he was her boyfriend Ronan Chandler’s roommate, and they were pretty close.

He was known for his lavish spending, and everyone thought he was a rich second-generation kid.

Upon seeing him there, Aurora initially didn’t think much, assuming he was out buying a house with his mom, until the next second when she saw the woman, while talking, coyly lean into his arms. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

The young man glanced at the woman, then looked over at Aurora Sutton.

The attempt to cover up was all too obvious.

Aurora Sutton, Thea Shaw: "..."

Thea Shaw: "Wow."
