Chapter 97: Chapter: 96 Killing Your beloved!

"Julius...?"

Rosalina was just about to bite down on her tongue and end her life.

But at that exact moment, the heavy door burst open.

She froze. Her teeth touched her tongue but didn’t bite.

She stared at the entrance in complete disbelief.

Julius hadn’t stepped inside yet. He only kicked the door open and poked his head in.

His eyes quickly scanned the room until they landed on Rosalina.

The moment he saw her beaten face, bruised body, and the blood on her lips, his eyes turned soft and gentle.

"Hey babe," he said with a small smile. "Am I late?"

Rosalina couldn’t speak. She just stared at him, stunned and shaking.

Tears she had been holding back now flowed freely down her cheeks.

The First Elder turned around too. The moment he saw Julius, his face lit up with pure joy.

"What luck!" he whispered to himself, a wide grin spreading across his face.

"Heaven is really on our side today!"

He took one eager step toward Julius.

Nickel also turned.

At first, his face showed shock, but it quickly changed into wild excitement and greed.

’I didn’t think it would be this easy...’ he thought, his heart racing.

All this time he had been planning ways to kill Julius in the future.

But now, the fool had walked right into their trap.

Nickel let out a deep sigh of relief. Then he clutched his head and burst into loud, crazy laughter like those manipulative protagonists.

"Hahahaha!"

Everyone in the hall turned to look at him. His mad laughter echoed off the walls.

"You’re right, First Elder," Nickel said, still laughing. "Heaven really is favouring us!"

He stopped laughing for a second and looked at Julius with greedy eyes.

"I never thought it would be this easy to catch both of them. The two most valuable..."

Before he could finish, Julius’s eyes turned ice cold. He stared straight at Nickel.

"You did this to her?" Julius asked.

His voice was calm, but it sent chills through the room.

He still hadn’t fully stepped inside.

Nickel took one step back, but then he glanced at the First Elder and felt brave again.

"Should I give you the same treat..."

He couldn’t finish his sentence.

Julius took one step forward.

His face suddenly showed strain, as if he was carrying something very heavy.

His waist was slightly bent, and his right hand was hidden behind his back.

"Ugh... they’re heavy," he muttered.

Step!

He took another step. Now his whole body came into view.

Everyone’s mouth fell open in shock, especially Rosalina, Nickel, and the First Elder.

Julius was dragging four bodies behind him by their hair.

"Ayane... Rihana..." The First Elder’s eyes widened in horror as he recognized the twin girls.

Their faces were covered in small cuts, but it was clearly them.

"Sera... Lily..." Nickel’s face turned pale with the same terror.

He recognized the other two girls instantly.

Julius dragged the four bodies further into the hall. All four girls were still breathing, but only faintly.

"Quite the harem you have here," Julius said casually.

He grabbed one of the girls, Sera, by the hair and lifted her beautiful face so Nickel could see it clearly.

"What are you? The protagonist of one of those novels?"

Julius thought for a moment, then smiled coldly.

"Maybe the title would be: ’Transmigrated as a Useless Extra: I Will Gather a Harem and Kill the Villainess and the Villain’?"

"What, did you think you were some kind of extra protagonist? You show up, start scheming against me, against the final boss, no less..."

Julius let out a low, amused laugh. "I’ll admit, you did well. But seriously... was building a whole harem really necessary?"

"No... no... please..."

Nickel’s hands were clenched so tight they were shaking.

His nails dug into his own skin, but he didn’t even notice.

The smug look he once had was completely gone, replaced by pure fear and helpless despair.

His breathing turned uneven, almost like he was suffocating.

Julius suddenly softened his expression, his voice turning fake almost gentle.

"I love you, Sera..." he said, perfectly imitating Nickel’s tone.

Nickel froze.

"Aren’t you happy? After I get rid of the villain and the villainess... we’ll live together, okay?"

"Stop... stop it..." Nickel’s voice broke. His whole body trembled harder now, his face twisting in panic and humiliation.

"Don’t....kill her..."

Julius dropped the act instantly, his face returning to cold amusement.

"Wow... how touching," he said dryly.

"Hearing it like this makes it sounds so touching that I even have tears....see?" he pointed at his eyes wiping off fake tears.

"You know, someone once said life is just suffering, and people try their best to escape it. Funny thing is..." he gave a small shrug, "no one actually wants to die."

He let out a quiet sigh.

"But then again... you met someone as kind as me ... .so I will help you."

He paused.

Then slowly raised his left hand.

A sharp dagger appeared in his grip.

Chik!

In one quick move, he drove the dagger straight through Sera’s throat.

"How does it feel, Mister Extra?" Julius asked, his voice calm and mocking.

"NO!!!" Nickel screamed. Pain and rage filled his eyes.

He rushed toward Julius at full speed.

A circle appeared in front of him, and a huge greatsword formed in his hands.

"You bastard!!!" Nickel roared, raising the sword high to cut Julius in half.

But right at that moment...

A cold breeze passed through the room.

Everything froze.

Nickel’s hands froze halfway through his swing.

The cold breeze moved quietly and stopped right in front of Julius.

It slowly took the shape of a tall, calm man, Alfred.

"My lord, I have taken care of them," Alfred said with a perfectly calm expression.

Behind him, Nickel’s hands slowly fell.

Thud!

Both of his hands, still gripping the greatsword, dropped to the ground from the elbows.

For a few seconds, Nickel felt nothing.

He slowly looked down at the stumps where his hands used to be.

Then....

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

A loud, painful scream tore out of his throat.

Two fountains of blood shot up from his arms.

He sank to his knees, tears and mucus mixing on his face as he screamed at the top of his lungs.

The whole room echoed with his cries.

"Good job, Alfred," Julius said cheerfully, as if praising a child for doing homework.

He reached down and grabbed Rihana by the hair, lifting her head.

"Ah, First Elder... isn’t she your beloved granddaughter?"

Julius slowly slid the sharp dagger along her neck.

"You must be getting flashbacks right now. How you watched her grow up... the first time you held her with shaking hands and promised to protect her forever. And don’t forget the moment she first called you ’Grandpa’..."

Julius smiled coldly and continued in a mocking voice:

"Grandpa, look! I caught a butterfly... hehe."

"You did? Good job! That’s my granddaughter!"

Julius patted the air like he was patting a child’s head, then sighed dramatically.

"And one day she would grow up, throw tantrums, and talk about marrying her lover... Sigh. I’m such a kind man. What will happen to a saint like me?"

He turned to Alfred with a playful grin. "Wouldn’t you agree, Alfred? Is there anyone kinder or more saintly than me?"

"Hohoho..." Alfred chuckled softly as he carefully wiped blood off his blade. "My lord, there is someone..Uriel, the new saint?"

"Ah, Alfred, don’t ruin the fun," Julius said, turning back to the horrified First Elder.

"After all, Uriel is my avatar. So in a way... I am the most saintly one."

"Hohoho..." Alfred laughed again, nodding in agreement.

The First Elder’s legs gave out. He fell to his knees and started begging desperately.

"Please... don’t kill her... Please, I’m begging you! I will do anything for you!"

Tears of pain ran down his old face.

The cruel smirk he had when mocking Rosalina was completely gone.

Now he looked like the most broken, miserable old man in the world.

Julius scratched his cheek, pretending to think hard.

"Should I...?" he asked slowly, sliding the dagger along Rihana’s neck once more.
