Villainess X Villain: They are obsessed with each other!-Chapter 75 -: 74 Outcome.[2]
"Ah, by the way," Julius said just as Alfred was about to turn and leave. "How many days has it been since that day?"
He didn’t feel any pain except in his left arm, which meant most of his wounds had already healed.
That could only mean several days had passed.
Alfred paused and thought for a moment. "About five days, my lord."
"Hm?" Julius hummed softly, a small smirk tugging at his lips. "Five days... I really did a number on myself this time, didn’t I?"
"Do you know what’s been going on in the academy while I was out?"
He leaned back against the pillows and looked at Alfred again.
"I thought you would ask that," Alfred replied with a soft, knowing chuckle.
He straightened up and began to explain everything that had happened over the past five days.
"Because of the monster attack and all the chaos, the Student Council President election was postponed by one day."
"Once things calmed down a little, the voting finally started. And when the results came in... Rosalina Valentina won by a huge margin."
Julius’s smirk grew wider. ’I figured as much,’ he thought, feeling quite pleased with himself.
’It was obvious she would win after all the preparation I did and that little performance I put on. Looks like everything worked out perfectly.’
He snapped out of his thoughts and asked, "What about the investigations? Have the dean and the other professors returned from the Saint Trial yet?"
"No, they still haven’t returned," Alfred answered.
He paused for a second, then reached into his pocket and pulled out a neatly folded envelope. "But today I received this letter."
He held it out to Julius with both hands.
"Here it is, my lord."
"Hmm? Who sent this letter...?" Julius muttered as he broke the wax seal.
The moment he unfolded the paper, he froze.
The letter was long, but the actual words were short and simple:
"My dear once-in-a-billion, handsome son,
Your beautiful mother is coming to the academy to visit you.
Love."
The rest of the page was completely covered in little red hearts and love symbols drawn in elegant handwriting.
A soft chuckle escaped Julius’s lips. "Her personality is still exactly the same..."
For some reason, he felt both very happy and strangely restless at the same time.
He stared at the letter for a long moment, his golden eyes growing distant.
"How many years has it been since I last saw her...?" he whispered.
A wave of melancholy washed over him.
In his previous life, his parents had died in an accident when he was only 12 or 13.
He himself had died around 16 or 17. If he counted properly, it had been at least four or five years since he last saw his mother’s face.
He gently traced one of the hearts on the paper with his fingertip.
"Haaa..."
A long, quiet sigh left his lips, not of tiredness, but of deep longing mixed with relief.
"It’s fortunate... that I was able to convince the author to give this Julius the same parents as me."
He closed his eyes for a moment, holding the letter close to his chest.
Even though he had gained a second chance at life, the ache of missing his mother had never truly disappeared.
Now she was coming to visit, the real her, the one who loved him so openly and dramatically.
A small, bittersweet smile appeared on his face as he whispered softly to himself,
"I can’t wait to see you again... Mom."
Julius stayed silent for a while, lost in thought. After a few moments, he looked at Alfred and said,
"Alright, Alfred. Go and make sure the data is as accurate as possible. Also, keep a close eye on everyone nearby. Make sure there aren’t any suspicious people hanging around."
"As you say, my lord." Alfred bowed one last time and quietly walked out of the room.
Once the door clicked shut, Julius let out a long sigh.
His gaze drifted down to Rosel, who was still fast asleep.
She had curled up around his right leg like it was her favorite doll, holding it tightly with both arms.
Her small body looked so peaceful, her breathing soft and steady.
A gentle smile touched his lips for a moment before fading.
He leaned back against the wall and stared at the ceiling.
"Fortunately, everything has been dealt with for now," he thought.
"I don’t know exactly what happened in the Saint Trial, but I can still feel the connection with my avatar. That means it went well."
His expression turned serious again.
"So now... the important thing is to plan what happens next."
He closed his eyes and recalled the original story of ’TST’.
All the big events he had caused weren’t part of the original plot.
He had simply manipulated a few things in his favor. But now, the real first arc of the academy was about to begin.
"The hero will join the academy soon..." Julius muttered quietly. "And once he does, it will be time for the first and most interesting arc..."
He opened his eyes, a sharp glint in them.
"The Lone King’s Inheritance."
The Lone King was a legendary time-path spell caster who had passed the 4th Heavenly Trial.
His inheritance would be incredibly powerful, exactly the kind of boost Julius needed right now.
In the original story, neither Rosalina nor Julius had participated in it.
They were both from rich families, especially Julius.
If he had asked, his father would have given him any inheritance from their clan, probably even better ones. So there was no need.
But this time was different.
This time, Julius planned to use the identity of "The Anomaly" for his future schemes.
The problem was... he lacked truly powerful spells. He had felt that clearly when facing Rosalina.
"That’s why," he whispered to himself, eyes narrowing with determination, "I need to compete for the Lone King’s Inheritance..."
A dangerous smile slowly spread across his face.
"...and steal it from that trash!"
