Chapter 208: Chapter-208

Veer had just stepped out of the room after putting Kaya on the bed to get her some water. But as he came back in, the bed was empty.

"Kaya?"

He scanned the room, and suddenly—WHAM!—someone kicked him squarely in the back.

"Ouch!" Veer yelped, tumbling forward and spinning around, ready to retaliate.

And then he froze.

It was Kaya. She was sitting right on top of him, grinning mischievously.

"Where did you go, my handsome guy?" she cooed, tilting her head playfully.

Veer groaned. "Kaya, please get down and drink some water. You’ll feel better."

Kaya waved a delicate hand. "Thank you. Now I’m feeling much better. Anyway... who are you, handsome?"

"Kaya... dear God," Veer muttered, exasperated.

She giggled and pressed a finger to his lips. "Shhh! Hush. How many times have I told you? A handsome man does not speak like that."

Then she reached up and lightly touched his lips with her hand. "Oh my God! Your lips... so soft!"

Veer froze, somewhere between irritation, disbelief, and amusement, while Kaya’s sparkling eyes and mischievous smile left him completely disarmed.

She glanced at his rosy lips, then traced her own with her tongue, murmuring, "I want a taste."

Before Veer could respond, she lowered her head sharply, pressing her lips against his with surprising force. His body froze, heart hammering, caught completely off guard. The warmth of her touch, the softness of her lips, sent a shiver down his spine.

Kaya parted slightly, teasingly brushing her tongue along his lips, and frowned playfully. "Open it," she whispered.

Veer’s instincts faltered, but somehow, almost mechanically, he obeyed, parting his lips. She plunged back in, kissing him tightly and relentlessly, her hands brushing against his chest. He could feel the heat radiating from her, the quickening of her breath mirroring his own, each second amplifying the tension between them.

By the time she finally paused, gasping for air, Veer’s cheeks were flushed crimson, his chest rising and falling rapidly.

Just as she tried to pull away, Veer’s hands gripped her back, holding her close. Without hesitation, he kissed her fiercely, every bit as intense as she had been, matching her fire with his own. The world around them blurred; only the warmth of their closeness, the taste of her lips, and the rapid thrum of their hearts existed in that instant.

As he reached toward her chest, Ratty!—a sharp slap landed squarely across his face, sending him sprawling onto the floor.

"Idiot!" Kaya barked, her cheeks flushed, eyes sparkling with mischief.

Veer, surprisingly calm despite the sting, looked up at her, a mix of disbelief and restrained amusement in his gaze. Slowly, he raised a hand in surrender. "Okay, okay... I’m sorry," he muttered.

Kaya’s smile widened, tugging lightly at his cheeks. "Nice. Handsome boy," she teased, leaning closer and letting her hands trail along his neck and collarbone. Each touch made Veer’s muscles tighten; his fists clenched as he struggled to control the heat rising in him.

"Kaya... back off. I’m warning you," he said through gritted teeth, biting his lips to keep from snapping.

Kaya tilted her head, playful and unyielding. "And what if I don’t?"

That was it. Veer’s patience shattered. In one swift, fluid motion, he stood, lifted her slightly, and gently but firmly threw her onto the bed. He pressed her hands above her head, pinning her in place.

Their eyes locked, the tension between them crackling in the small space. Veer’s body loomed over hers, every movement controlled yet charged with heat, while Kaya’s playful defiance danced in her gaze. Her breath hitched slightly under his intensity, and for a heartbeat, the world shrank to just the two of them—their rapid breaths, the warmth of their closeness, and the silent, magnetic pull that neither could deny.

Kaya’s hands didn’t hesitate. She yanked off Veer’s jacket first, then his shirt, revealing the hard lines of his chest, the muscles taut under the moonlight. Her fingers traced the edges of his shoulders, feeling the heat radiating off him. Veer’s breath hitched, his eyes darkening as he watched her move with purpose and a fire that matched his own.

Her dress wasn’t spared. With a swift pull, it slid down her body, revealing the curves she usually kept hidden. The cool night air caressed her skin, sending shivers that made her ache even more. Veer’s hands reached for her, fingers sliding along her waist, feeling her pulse beneath the surface, feeling how ready she was.

The wolf pack outside howled softly, restless with hunger, their faces flushed with anticipation and frustration. But inside, Kaya and Veer didn’t hear them. All that existed was the brush of skin against skin, the taste of lips, the heat of shared desire.

Veer’s lips trailed down her neck, leaving fire in their wake, while Kaya’s hands roamed over him, memorizing the strength she could feel. Their bodies pressed closer, every movement an unspoken command, a mutual surrender to instinct. She could feel his heartbeat against hers, a wild rhythm that matched the craving between them.

When they finally came together, it was with a raw urgency, a wildness that neither tried to tame. Every touch, every gasp, every shiver of pleasure was amplified by the knowledge that the pack waited, hungry, and the night itself seemed to hold its breath around them. They moved as one, lost in the heat, the hunger, the undeniable pull that bound them together.

The night stretched endlessly, filled with moans, whispers, and the sound of skin on skin. By the time they collapsed together, spent and tangled, the world outside—the pack, the hunger, the dark forest—was nothing but a distant echo.

The morning light filtered softly through the curtains, brushing Kaya’s skin as she slept. Her eyelids fluttered open, and for a moment, she simply watched—Veer lying there, just a breath away, his chest rising and falling in deep sleep. A small, knowing smile curved her lips.

...

"Huh!"

Kaya’s eyes snapped open, a sudden clarity cutting through the fog of sleep
