Villain transmigration: The doll maker.-Chapter 114:capture
Finding Blair had been easy. He seemed to have been waiting for us when we arrived.
Mother, on the other hand, had separated from us to go to the royal palace to see what was happening and have tea with the royal couple.
I drank the cup of tea Blair had given us upon our arrival and prompted him to share his findings.
"Only the northern and southern dukedoms have survived. "
Blair said and pushed the continent’s map towards me.
"Thats expected, mother pushed most of the beasts that were supposed to invade the duchy to the other two. It’s such a shame we couldn’t get the northern duchy."
I said dismissively.
"Right... most of the soldiers were summoned to the capital. The stalemate between the kingdom and the beasts has been ongoing for three days, it’s almost time for the capital to be breached."
I chuckled at his certainty.
"I almost forgot, I heard from one of my spies in the palace that the kingdom had asked for help from the Fern Kingdom and the barbarian kingdom..."
"What did the two kingdoms say?"
"They’ve sent a small number of soldiers since the tide is only focused on our kingdom. While the Barbarian kingdom might not be affected, if the beasts manage to overwhelm the kingdom, they will head for the Fern Kingdom. My spies have been distracting the oncoming soldiers but it won’t be long before they arrive at the capital. "
He said. I fell into thought, the pact between the three kingdoms required the other two to help the other kingdom if a problem ever occurred unless they really can’t.
"Thats good. How long do you estimate it would take for the capital to fall?"
I asked. Since he had been here long enough, he should have a better estimate.
"It should be three sandglasses.."
He said confidentiality.
I shook my head."That won’t do, I need to hasten the fall."
Blair raised his eyebrow in confusion.
"How do you expect to hasten it?"
I chuckled.
"Destroying the defence. "
I wanted my plan to be underway before my mother returned and tried to stop me.
I turned to Luna, who was standing behind me.
"Can you bring the saintess back to me," My gaze moved to the seraph, " You should be able to handle the saint right?"
She nodded and stood up.
"Why do you even need them?"
Seraph asked curiously as she followed Luna, who was departing. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"You’ll understand. "
I vaguely answered her. She nodded and walked out. I trusted their strength was enough to beat the two.
I turned to Kianah, who was leaning against the wall.
"I’ll need you to protect Jeneviv...Nixie, you’ll join her too."
The three nodded.
"What about me young master?"
Donovan asked. I chuckled.
"You’ll be going with me, on a capture mission. I hope you can manage to distract a dragon?"
Donovan burst into laughter and patted the massive sword beside him.
"Of course, I’ve killed one or two baby dragons I’ve never had a taste of an adult."
"Good, I’ll need you to distract it long enough for me to activate my spell."
He nodded. I turned my attention back to Blair again.
"Since you can’t fight to save your life, you can take care of Abelion...Isis should be of help in any way."
I sealed Abelion’s fate before he could even speak. I didn’t trust him near a battlefield. He was a walking hazard I did not want.
Abelion didn’t complain, he knew his weakness enough to know he wouldn’t be of any help to us.
I left Blair’s small office with Donovan behind me.
"Are we going to walk or teleport to the battlefield young master?"
He asked me. I shook my head. My magic revolved around my body and I formed a circle below and I activated it.
[Teleport]
We arrived on top of the city walls, scaring the soldiers who had been attacking the climbing monster.
Five of them turned towards us weapons drawn.
"What are you doing here?"
One of the soldiers with blue hair and blue eyes asked roughly. I could see his hands were shaking and he could barely hide it.
"I’ve come to help?"
I lied. They didn’t seem to believe me. I smiled and a Multitude of fire spells appeared above the city walls and released fire.
The fire contained some of Athena’s power and they burned through the batch easily. Her blood pressure was strong enough for those soldiers on the battlefield to glance back.
Some of them accidentally stumbled back from the pressure. The beasts had it much worse.
Some died at the spot like those nearer to the wall while the others were distracted.
But even with this advantage, the people below reacted too slowly. By the time they noticed their advantage, the beasts had already gone back totheyanoticed the weirdness of what was happening.
The fire dragon. I had felt its gaze directed towards me.
It was clear that Sir Drakein was too tired and the beasts seemed to have gained an advantage over the warriors.
The dragon that had been fighting turned its attention towards us.
"You can go now."
I said to Donovan and pointed to the beast. Donovan didn’t wait, he jumped down the walls and ran towards the dragon while slicing through the beasts that tried to approach him.
I waited until he had started his fight and the dragon was distracted before turning my attention to my target.
Sir. Drakein.
He was fighting beside the enthusiastic Donovan but his movements and casting had slowed down significantly
[Blink]
I was beside Sir Drakein before he could even react.
"What.."
I knocked him out cutting him mid suprise.
No one except Donovan noticed my little escapade. I nodded towards him and he did the same back before I teleported out of the battlefield with Drakein in my arms.
At the city centre hidden behind a small empty shop stood Kianah, Jeneviv, Amna, and Nixie.
They stood in a circle around Jeneviv, who was seated, sweating a lot, and had her eyes closed.
Anyone who saw this scene would know she was in agony. Her power was draining very fast into the ground and slowly encompassing the whole capital.
At the battlefield, barely noticeable to anyone, corpses of both human and beast would sink into the ground as though a hand was pulling them inside.
A teleportation circle appeared a few steps from the four girls and the three guards prepared for a fight.
I stepped out of the teleportation circle and looked at the vigilant girls.
I smiled warmly.
"How are things going?"
I asked. I threw the unconscious Drakein on the ground and turned my attention to them.
They looked down at the man in surprise then back at me. I couldn’t help but chuckle a little at their shock.
"How did you even manage to do this master?"
Kianah pointed at Drakein. Sir Drakein was well known throughout the whole continent.
"It was easy actually since he was already tired and on his last leg. If he were at his peak it would still not be heard but it would have taken a little longer.
"Master is great."
I smiled at Kianah’s compliment.
"How is she?"
I pointed at Jeneviv, who was seated cross-legged on the ground.
"She’s doing mostly fine but in the last few moments she has been having occasional nosebleeds."
’I need to hurry it’s becoming too much for her body to handle.’
My senses moved around the capital until I located Seraph and Luna.
The prince hadn’t noticed his fiancée missing while the church had also not noticed the saint had gone missing.
Both Seraph and Luna were hurrying back while dragging their targets behind them.
I walked to the place Jeneviv was and sat down next to him.
I pushed my mana into her body, though her body rejected it at first she eventually accepted my invasion and I used her body as a channel.
Since Jeneviv used dark mana, I had to make sure my mana didn’t touch her pool. Her body was more of a vessel that allowed my mana to pass through.
This gave her a reprieve from using her own mana and draining herself too much. Now was not the time for training.
The area around us started to glow a faint red as a spell circle started to form from where we were seated with Jeneviv as the eye of the spell.
The patterns moved further away as they disappeared under buildings.
"Are you doing okay or should we stop?"
I asked her.
Jeneviv shook her head.
"I’ll wait until Luna and the others are back before leaving, I want to give master the best results."
I nodded. I didn’t want to forcefully remove her since it might affect her own mana pool.
It didn’t take long for the familiar footsteps to come before the two girls came from around the corner together each carrying their own delivery.
