Village Doctor's Women-Chapter 46 Xu Qian’s Suspicions
One of Wang Jian’s hands clutched Li Liping’s neck while the other seized her restless wrists, giving him complete control of the situation. The weight of his entire body almost suffocated her, but Li Liping felt no discomfort. Her face flushed quickly, and she actually looked rather excited.
Li Liping genuinely hadn’t expected this. The Wang Jian she knew, both from hearsay and personal encounters, was shy and passive. But the dominance he was displaying now fascinated her to her core.
"You’re so bad..." Li Liping muttered with her eyes closed. When they separated for a moment, her gaze was dazed, but she didn’t forget to add, "I love it."
Her words were like a lit fuse. Wang Jian grabbed her hands, flipped her over, and pinned them behind her back, holding her down like a criminal.
Wang Jian chuckled and gave her upturned bottom a few smacks.
"Still feeling cheeky? Daring to pull me in here so late at night!"
"Ngh... I won’t, I won’t do it again."
After a few crisp slaps, Li Liping couldn’t take it anymore. "You little brat, spare me."
Before Wang Jian could do anything else, she began to press her body invitingly against his.
Who could resist this...? 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Wang Jian immediately yanked down the panties she wore under her slip dress, while his other hand fumbled with his own trousers.
Just as he was about to make his next move, both Wang Jian and Li Liping jolted. They heard the sound of the courtyard gate being pushed open. The creaking of the iron gate sounded like a clap of thunder in their ears.
Startled, Li Liping paid no mind to her crooked dress straps. "Didn’t you lock the gate?" she asked Wang Jian.
She had specifically told him to, preparing for this very moment. She never expected someone would actually push the gate open. Their gate wasn’t easy to open; you had to push it really hard, and it made a truly ear-piercing noise.
Wang Jian replied, "I didn’t lock it, just pulled it shut. It’s broad daylight. Locking the gate would be the weird thing to do."
"Quick!"
Despite being so forward and bold with Wang Jian, Li Liping would never dare to be so wild if someone else were around. While urging Wang Jian to get himself together, she checked her own clothes for anything amiss and straightened them out.
But seeing she was still in her slip dress, Li Liping felt it was inappropriate. "You sit here. I’m going to change. If someone sees me like this, I’ll never be able to explain it."
With an anxious expression, Li Liping hurried upstairs. Wang Jian pulled up his pants and glanced around. Just as he started to relax, his hand brushed against the panties he had torn off her. Panicked, he stuffed them into his pants pocket.
Just then, the sound of the gate stopped, and the visitor at the Zhang residence finally spoke.
"Liping... are you home?"
Damn it. That’s my sister-in-law’s voice.
The lingering heat of passion in Wang Jian instantly vanished, as if he’d been plunged into an ice cellar. For a second, he wanted to throw the panties into the trash can, but before he could pull them out, Xu Qian had already opened the living room door and stepped inside.
Xu Qian entered, took off her shoes, and closed the door behind her. The moment she turned around, she froze.
"Xiao Jian, aren’t you supposed to be at work? What are you doing here?" As she spoke, Xu Qian glanced further into the room but didn’t see Li Liping. "Did you get off work early?" she continued.
Wang Jian forced a smile, his heart pounding with anxiety. He fought to keep his expression casual, trying not to seem strange. "After I finished with Chairman Cai today, I took the rest of the day off," he said slowly. "On my way back, I happened to run into Uncle Zhang and his family leaving on a long trip with their luggage. I stayed for a bit to see them off. It’s only been a few minutes."
Wang Jian glanced upstairs. "Sister-in-law... what brings you here?"
"What else?" Xu Qian shot Wang Jian a look, not thinking much of it. "Since Uncle Zhang and the others are gone, I came to invite Liping over to our place for dinner. I didn’t expect to run into you."
"Perfect. You can come back with me later," Xu Qian said with a smile. "I bought some crayfish today and I’ve been cleaning them all afternoon. There are still a few left to scrub, so I’ll leave that to you. We can make them spicy later."
"Sure." To ease his own awkwardness, Wang Jian led Xu Qian to the sofa to watch a variety show.
"Where’s Liping?"
"She got some watermelon on her clothes earlier. She went upstairs to change and should be down in a minute." Wang Jian noticed the watermelon on the coffee table and quickly added in a louder voice, "This watermelon is really sweet! You should have a slice."
"Changing her clothes, huh?" Xu Qian took the watermelon with a strange expression. She frowned, studying Wang Jian for a moment before suddenly asking, "Why are you acting so weird?"
Glancing upstairs, she said, "You weren’t peeking at her changing, were you? Look at you, your face is covered in sweat..."
Suspicion was written all over Xu Qian’s face. Seeing his reaction only confirmed her idea. "Don’t tell me the noise I made coming in caught you doing something naughty, and that’s why you’re sweating bullets?" When she came in, the noise from the Zhangs’ iron gate had annoyed her. It was not only hard to push but also incredibly loud. No wonder their gate was usually left open. A sound like that would be enough to startle anyone.
Wang Jian was dumbfounded. Xu Qian’s words were casual, but to him, they hit like a bombshell.
Isn’t that exactly what happened? I was doing something I shouldn’t have and almost got caught red-handed!
"Tsk, tsk... I never would have guessed you were that kind of person. Did you fall for another man’s wife?" Xu Qian shook her head, feigning disappointment and heartbreak, but she didn’t stop eating her watermelon. She was only joking, pretending to be upset while gauging his reaction.
Wang Jian wasn’t an idiot. Seeing her act, he felt a wave of relief. This is like riding a roller coaster. I can’t take much more of this.
He decided to play along, nodding and adopting a strange tone. "Oh, you found me out. I’ve totally fallen for her... And now that you know, I can’t let you leave here alive."
"No~~"
As he spoke, Wang Jian grabbed the fruit knife from the table. "Heh heh, go on and scream," he said menacingly. "Scream your lungs out..."
While Wang Jian and Xu Qian were playacting, Li Liping, having changed her clothes, came downstairs barefoot and saw them messing around.
Li Liping raised an eyebrow. Hearing Wang Jian say he had fallen for her gave her a strange feeling, though she knew he was joking. She interrupted them, "Is the TV drama so boring that you two decided to put on a play for me?"
"That fruit knife is really sharp. Be careful."
"Don’t worry, I’ve got it under control." Wang Jian came to his senses. Seeing that Li Liping had changed into a long dress, he quickly handed her the fruit knife. With his back to Xu Qian, he finally let out a breath of relief and gave Li Liping a wink, signaling that they’d made it through.
Li Liping smiled at him and Xu Qian. As she took the knife, she playfully scratched his palm, just as she had when she first started getting handsy with him at his house.
This woman was a paradox, terrified of getting caught yet addicted to the thrill.
Wang Jian glared at her as he heard her say to Xu Qian, "You two have such a great relationship for a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, almost like actual siblings..."
But neither Wang Jian nor Li Liping noticed that something was off with Xu Qian. Her eyes kept darting toward Wang Jian’s pants.
"What’s so great about it..." Hearing Li Liping’s joke, Xu Qian’s expression flickered. She didn’t linger on the topic and said directly to Li Liping, "Come to our place for dinner."
"There’s no one else at your house today, so don’t bother cooking. Come eat crayfish at our place."
"Oh really? How nice!" Li Liping’s interest was piqued. "This is the perfect season for crayfish. Let’s go, let’s go! I’m starving."
Xu Qian said, "Didn’t you just eat watermelon? How are you hungry so soon?"
Li Liping paused at the mention of watermelon. Wang Jian had eaten all of it; she had only cut it and hadn’t had a single bite. But she was quick on her feet and played along. "Eating watermelon doesn’t count as real food."
"Mm."
Watching Xu Qian’s mood suddenly turn flat, Wang Jian, far more sensitive than Li Liping, sensed that something was wrong.
As Li Liping happily went to the doorway to look for her shoes, Xu Qian approached Wang Jian. To his utter bewilderment, she reached out and plunged her hand directly into the pants pocket where he had hidden the panties.
Pressed up against him, Xu Qian showed no hesitation. Without another word, she pulled out the object her fingers had found. Her expression instantly turned to ice as she shot a frigid glare at the man standing right beside her.
Wang Jian opened his mouth to try and explain, but he saw her stuff the item back into his pocket. She then turned away to join Li Liping, giving him no chance to speak.
