Chapter 185: 180 bad girl

When Wang Jian left the manor, he departed in a car arranged by Peng Qing.

He had originally wanted to see Peng Pingan and check on his Qi Cultivation progress but gave up on the idea after learning that Peng Pingan was in class. After arranging with Peng Qing to bring Peng Pingan for a visit every half-month, he departed.

First, he went to the hospital to check on the newborn and meet with Xu Liang and his wife. Afterward, he returned to his hotel. His trip to Capital City was finally coming to an end, and he intended to say his goodbyes to Song Tianran.

Unexpectedly, when he opened the door to his hotel room, he saw Ren Yu. An expression of utter incomprehension immediately washed over his face. He had imagined opening the door to find Song Tianran, ready for one last tender moment, but he had never anticipated a scene like this.

"Who is it?" Ren Yu had opened the door, and from behind her, Song Tianran’s voice drifted out from inside the room. "Is that Wang Jian?"

"Hmm..." Despite his confusion, Wang Jian answered and slipped inside. When he saw Chairman Kang in the room as well, he instantly understood why Ren Yu was there. He had told Chairman Kang about his departure in advance since they were supposed to travel back together.

Now, I regret it. I should have just let Chairman Kang go by himself.

No need to guess. Ren Yu must have been brought here by Chairman Kang. With the chairman’s obvious crush on her, she could easily win him over with a single word.

"Weren’t we supposed to meet at the train station?" Wang Jian walked further into the room, pointedly turning his back to the two women to face Chairman Kang. His expression was foul; having his romantic plans interrupted would annoy anyone.

Chairman Kang was taken aback by his look, stammering, "Er, well, this..."

It was Ren Yu who broke the tension with a smile. "I asked him to bring me."

Chairman Kang breathed a sigh of relief as Wang Jian finally turned to face the women. But just as he relaxed, he felt something was off. He seemed to be particularly afraid of Wang Jian just now. It wasn’t true fear but more like the feeling one gets in the presence of an elder—an overpowering aura that filled him with an inexplicable sense of deference.

"I heard you were leaving, so of course, I had to come see you off," Ren Yu said, cheerfully approaching Wang Jian. Without any hesitation, she wrapped her arms around his and asked, "Surprise! Bet you didn’t expect to see me, did you?"

"It’s certainly a surprise," Wang Jian said, having calmed down. He chuckled and patted Ren Yu’s back, though internally, he felt more startled than anything.

In hindsight, Ren Yu’s arrival wasn’t the main issue. The timing was what mattered; it was better that she came early rather than late. If she and Chairman Kang had arrived while he and Song Tianran were in the middle of... things, that would have been a real disaster. His mood improved significantly with that thought. When he looked at Chairman Kang again, the earlier disdain was gone.

Chairman Kang felt a chill watching this rapid shift in attitude. He suddenly began to question whether he should follow such a mercurial man to learn medicine.

Wang Jian’s change wasn’t just noticed by Chairman Kang. Of everyone present, the person who knew Wang Jian best wasn’t Ren Yu, but Song Tianran. Sensing the subtle shift in his emotions, she had to suppress a laugh.

Although she was dressed rather modestly, she had been eagerly awaiting Wang Jian’s return. Underneath her clothes, she was wearing his favorite sexy lingerie, all in preparation for a fiery "rematch" upon his arrival. She knew exactly what had annoyed him, and she knew his "surprise" was more of a shock.

Song Tianran didn’t seem to mind Ren Yu’s actions. "Did you buy your tickets? What time is your train tonight?"

"It’s at ten o’clock," Wang Jian replied, gently pushing Ren Yu away slightly. "It’s an overnight trip, and someone will be there to pick us up. You don’t have to worry."

"Worry?" Song Tianran chuckled. "Why would I worry about you? You’re two grown men; I have nothing to be concerned about."

"Exactly," Ren Yu chimed in. "You’re leaving tonight, so we still have time to grab dinner."

"Yeah. You’re not here every day," Chairman Kang said, finally rejoining the conversation. "We definitely have time, senior. This won’t interfere with our schedule. Besides, the food options at the train station are terrible."

"That’s a good point," Wang Jian mused. That dilapidated train station probably didn’t even have roasted corn or sweet potatoes—just KFC, McDonald’s, and other fast food, nothing worth eating. Hearing their suggestion piqued his appetite. "Any good places to recommend?"

Chairman Kang swallowed, the thought of good food making his own stomach rumble. "There’s a fantastic Northeastern barbecue place."

"Where?"

"Not far from here. It’s called Yang’s Qiqihar Barbecue."

"Oh, that place!" Ren Yu said excitedly. "I’ve eaten there! It’s delicious. Their Northeastern pickled cabbage with pork belly is to die for."

"Yes," Chairman Kang smiled. "The new one that opened near our school. It seems you’ve already been."

"I have."

"It’s not just delicious, it’s also cheap. Great value for the money."

"You guys are actually making me hungry," Wang Jian admitted. Back at the manor, Peng Qing had invited him to stay for a meal, but he had declined, eager to get back to Song Tianran. Now that his plans had been disrupted, a meal sounded like a good idea.

The four of them soon arrived at the restaurant.

As soon as he stepped inside, Wang Jian was greeted by the rich aroma of grilled meat. The owner welcomed them with a thick Northeastern accent and led them to a table for four. Ren Yu sat with Wang Jian, while Song Tianran and Chairman Kang sat opposite them.

The service was fast, and a waiter came over to help them with the grilling.

"This food really is excellent," Wang Jian remarked as he ate. The Northeastern pickled cabbage, paired with pork belly tossed in a secret sauce, was full of meaty flavor, yet the pickles cut through the richness, making it not the least bit greasy.

Everyone was eating heartily and murmured their agreement without their chopsticks ever stopping. Ren Yu even flagged down the waiter to order another round of the pork belly and cabbage.

But just then, Wang Jian’s body went rigid.

A foot was sliding up his leg from under the table.

Beside him, Ren Yu was happily eating, occasionally chatting with Chairman Kang across the table about whether the meat was done. Neither of them noticed anything amiss, which allowed Wang Jian to breathe a small sigh of relief. He knew exactly whose foot it was.

White fishnet stockings...

It was the same pair Song Tianran had sent him a photo of to pique his interest—the very reason he had rushed back to the hotel so eagerly. He wasn’t a fan of black stockings, but fishnets, a purely sensual item, he was quite fond of. They were very stimulating.

When he looked up, pretending to reach for a piece of meat, his eyes met Song Tianran’s. A playful smile danced on her lips, and her eyes were full of provocation. He hadn’t been wrong; the foot definitely belonged to her.

While he was discreetly checking if anyone was watching them, the foot grew bolder, gliding past his knee and onto his thigh. The combination of ticklishness and excitement made him instinctively reach down and grab the culprit.

"What’s wrong?"

"Do you want to grill something else?"

His sudden movement drew the attention of the other two. But Ren Yu and Chairman Kang, their minds completely focused on the food, didn’t suspect a thing. Ren Yu simply asked casually.

"Hey, Wang Jian, what are you doing? Get me a piece of meat," Song Tianran said, smirking at Wang Jian’s predicament. "The one right in front of you."

"..."

Wang Jian shot her a glare. He reluctantly brought his hand back above the table, pretending nothing had happened. As he placed a piece of meat in her bowl, he grumbled, "It’s so close. You’re not helpless, you know."

Despite his words, he served her.

Seeing this, Ren Yu pouted slightly, feeling a bit left out but still oblivious to the under-the-table action. "I want some, too."

Wang Jian sighed and served her a piece as well. Throughout this, he had to keep clenching his thighs together because Ms. Song’s foot was relentless, and it was targeting his most sensitive spots.

This woman... she really knew his body inside and out.
