Vengeance of The Broken Lycan Prince [BL]-Chapter 458: My Bad Habits Lead To You
[TAMIKO]
"Kosta will kill us both," Tamiko reasoned.
He knew himself, and he knew his brother. He knew that whatever would happen on the dancefloor would end up with them in trouble even before the banquet began fully.
It was a terrible idea.
It was the worst.
And yet even then, Danny smiled at him like this was not as bad as Tamiko thought. That this was just another day in their lives, others they used to explore. But was it supposed to be that simple here and now? Was it ever going to be so simple?
"He’s the one sulking, not me. Plus, I’m your best friend, you should dance with me too," Danny laughed.
Tamiko sighed.
This was an awful idea, especially given the fact that Kosta was around the dance floor right now. Maybe what was the motivation Tamiko needed to step up?
God’s he was stressed out.
"If I die—" Tamiko argued, knowing meanwhile that he would probably die of blue balls if they embarrassed Kosta out there.
It wasn’t a good idea, yet his omega had refused to talk to him, and this was suddenly a smart, stupid idea for both of them.
Maybe if they got out there, maybe Kosta would come back for him.
Maybe Kosta wouldn’t sulk.
And maybe Kosta would try to talk to him.
Surely a man could hope, right?
"Don’t worry, he’d probably bury us both. Come, let’s have fun, unless you want to stand here watching your sulking omega’s ass sway to the tune of the music," Danny teased.
Tamiko choked on air. His best friend was insane for that. But there was no lie there. The only thing that interested Tamiko in this ball wasn’t the wild stories about his love for a Kosta or even the cheers from the battle.
It was just Kosta.
He had come here not even for his father.
He had come for Kosta.
To see his omega happy, even if just from a distance.
"I’m just saying... Besides, women are eyeing him right now. If we go to the dance floor before they ask him to dance, you won’t be looking like a jealous old frog, because the beats will have us changing partners at some point.
"And you can have a dance with him when that time comes. But if he steps on the dance floor and then you follow, you’ll look like a possessive freak and sell your insanity even more," Danny reasoned.
Tamiko glared at him once again.
However, he didn’t protest when Danny dragged him onto the dance floor, and he felt the burn of Kosta’s eyes on his back. This was going to be a long evening, but at least his Kosta was alive and nearby.
That was what mattered the most to Tamiko.
The dance floor was buzzing wildly.
There were cheers for people who had the wildest of the moves and even miners who claimed each or he on the dance floor. The whispers were also there between the music.
The whispers of when the prince and his omega would come to dance.
Many acted like they were not curious, but anyone with eyes could see that on this very evening, even if they were apart, the prince and his Erasthai were the center of all the attention. However discreet the Lycans strived to be.
Maybe it was for the best, but what the fuck was the best now?
Who would determine the extent of good and bad?
"You look constipated," Danny pointed out when he saw Tamiko dancing stiffly and offbeat.
It was frustrating for a moment, and Danny was so close to grabbing Kosta and giving him his two left feet, Erasthai, because at this rate, Danny would crawl out of the dance floor instead of walking out.
"I am dancing," Tamiko grumbled.
"Yeah, like a statue in Grealor," Danny sighed exaggeratedly.
"You have two left feet too! Why am I the one getting the brunt of it all?" Tamiko complained.
Dancing was hard.
Way too hard, especially when his focus was on Kosta, who was laughing with the other Lycans.
His Erasthai, who had refused to smile at him for the last week.
His Kosta, who had not kissed him for a whole week.
The last time Tamiko had gotten a kiss was the night they won the battle. Fuck.
"You see, brother, my two left feet are the only reasons we can even exist on this dance floor. Otherwise, we would have broken each other’s bones with the way you’re stiff and I’m trying to encourage the melody in your big head," Danny stated as a matter of factly. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Once again, the brothers began to bicker, like it were just the two of them on the floor.
They looked pathetic with the worst dance moves to the point that a few warriors offered them beer so they probably wouldn’t remember what they were doing at the moment.
And like the idiots they were, the brothers chugged down beer like it was what they had come for.
At the podium, the king and Lord Sadako watched hopelessly as the brothers traumatized everyone with their dance moves. It was so terrible that at one point, it was just them on the floor.
Everyone had stepped back to watch the spectacle before them.
Well, that was also another terrible idea because as darkness crept in and the moon shone on them, the brides resorted to sparring to the tune of music, doing pushups, flipping each other, and doing somersaults.
It was horrible.
So much so that the king considered stepping forward and putting them both to sleep.
"They are worse than both of us, Sadako," the king watched in disappointment and disbelief. Though his shock was more dominant than his disappointment. He looked traumatized, truly, and Lord Sadako just laughed his ears off at the realization.
"You mean worse than YOU. At least we know you’re really his father," the Lycan lord laughed as he got up to go mingle with the other Lycans.
"Oh, by the way, she came," the king said as his brother laughed still.
"Yeah... Explains the horror we are watching. Come on, let’s go and mingle with your people," Lord Sadako. Added, and the king sighed. This was definitely going to be a long evening.
"Alright, but I have to do something first," the king said.
Sadako raised a brow at him.
"Before we all die of laughter and left-foot trauma, someone please drag the two idiots off the dance floor," the king announced loudly.
The Kawai Lycans burst out laughing.
Tamiko and Danny paused...
To glare at the king.
"I think they’re right, Tamiko," Danny said tiredly before he sat on the floor.
"Kosta will kill us... Maybe we should run before he comes for us," Tamiko suggested as he struggled to help Danny sit up.
"Tamiko..." Danny suddenly said in a whisper.
"Come on, we have to go," Tamiko insisted.
"It’s too late, brother."
"What?"
"He’s right behind us," Danny whispered again as the people around them went back to what they had been doing before the announcement.
Tamiko turned carefully, only to be met with a disapproving omega who was glaring at both of them like the world was not going to be a better place for them.
"Good luck, little brother. Make sure you don’t die," Danny grumbled, and before Tamiko could say anything, Danny portaled to another side of the banquet.
"Well, this is awkward... uhm... Hi, baby," Tamiko screeched.
