Jaehyun’s POV

She looks like she’s on the verge of turning mad.

Her face is red and her mouth open as she looks at Yunah and the way she’s clinging to my mother’s side, holding onto him like he’s everything to her.

It’s funny, Yunah is holding on to my mother the way Choi’s wife is holding on to her purse...like their lives depends on it.

I stay silent and watch how mom runs his palm up and down Yunah’s back, his way of assuring the girl that everything is fine.

"Yunah...did they drug you?" Choi’s wife asks as she gets up slowly, her hand is on her chest and her fingers touching the pearls hanging on her neck.

"What are you talking about?" Yunah asks her mom, still by my mom’s side.

"I AM YOUR MOM!" Choi’s wife screams and Yunah flinches, hiding her face in my mom’s neck, probably scenting him to keep herself calm.

"I am your mother, Yunah look at me, I am the one who gave birth to you" the woman says, her voice rises with every word she says.

"And so?" Yunah asks.

"And so? And so? Choi Yunah, look at me!" the woman says as she walks over to grab Yunah’s arm, and my alpha growls, ready to pounce if need be but mom moves faster.

He grabs the woman’s hand and pushes it away from Yunah’s body.

"Touch her and I will show you what a mother looks like" mother says, his voice low as he growls at her.

The woman steps back and hold her hand to her chest as if my mom did anything harmful to her, I am about to surge forward and handle it my way when I smell the burning jasmine.

My head snaps towards Yujun immediately.

He is standing rooted in that spot without moving, I rush over to hug him in my arms and to my chest, he is completely frozen.

"What? I gave birth to you...I-I carried you in my stomach what can this man possibly know about that?" Choi’s wife says, she looks so much like an actress.

"You gave birth to me, but you also took my life" Yunah says and the woman’s shoulders falls.

"Yunah...how can you say that about me? I have done so much for you" she sobs, the sound makes Yujun’s body shiver in my arms and I hold him tighter.

"I have done so much for you, I sent you to the best school, I made your life perfect!" she says and opens her purse to pull out a small handkerchief to wipe her tears.

"Perfect? That was hell! I left and I’m not coming back" Yunah says with a strength that I admire, Gawon has been standing behind Yujun, silently observing as well.

"You will come back, I won’t let you waste your life, you are my only hope" the woman says.

"Yunah says, she isn’t leaving, I will like for you to leave now" my mom says, turning around to obstruct the woman’s view of Yunah.

"Yunah, come home, huh, I will give you anything...the new bag I got is really pretty, it will-"

"Mom stop it" Yujun finally speaks and the woman turns to look at him for the first time, "you? how are you here?" is what she says to her son, her abused son, and my alpha growl at the same time with Gawon.

"Mom it’s time to leave, we are both tired of everything with you and dad" Yujun says, less firm than Yunah but speaking up for himself for the first time.

"You should be with the Kangs! You are the reason for this mess!" Choi’s wife says and points at Yujun, "Kang Sihyuk paid good money for you" she says.

"I am not a livestock to be sold" Yujun says and the woman turns back to Yunah, the girl is still being hidden by my mom, I know mom is comforting and whispering sweet things to her.

"Yuyu, my baby, I secured a good alpha for you, he has good money...he can give you everything" she says but my mom keeps Yunah hidden.

"You’re proud of yourself?" Yujun asks.

"Everything I do, I do for you!" the woman screams.

"Stop saying that word, it shows just how rotten you are" Yunah says, she sounds like she’s crying and Gawon goes forward to land a punch on the Choi woman’s face.

"Ahhh" the woman screams in horror and without hesitating, Gawon delivers another punch drawing blood from the woman’s nose.

"Help me!" she screams and tries to block the hits, but Gawon is relentless, delivering blows with occasional slaps.

The rest of us and the pack members that were attracted by the scene stand by and watch, some of them whisper among themselves how the woman is callous.

Yujun turns his face away from what is happening while Yunah hold my mom tighter.

"You disgust me" she hisses when she’s satisfied.

"You have two perfect children, you should love and take care of them not use them as currency you bitch" Gawon says and spits to the floor with her eyes flashing blue with her omega’s rage.

Yunah turns to look at Gawon and stretch her hand out for her to join the hug.

Yujun sighs in my arms, he still smells disturbed and I lower my head to kiss his forehead.

"Mom, go home, we’ve made our choices, it’s over" he says to his mom and the woman wails dramatically.

"I will go home! I will tell your father everything" she threatens and I stiffen, Yujun doesn’t seem affected this time, he just really wants her to leave.

"Should I punch you again?" Gawon asks and Choi Sanwoo’s wife immediately turns around to leave.

"It will be over for you" she says one more time before leaving, purse clutched to her chest, mascara running down her cheeks and face bruised from being hit.

Tch, lucky her, that pistol is still lying on my father’s table untouched and lonely.

"Are you okay?" I hear mom ask Yunah and the girl smiles, "it feels so good to finally tell her I am no longer her child" Yunah says.

"I’m proud of you" Gawon says and pats Yunah’s head.

"Let’s go in" Yujun says to me and I nod, I let my body follow him, but my mind isn’t as calm as I look.

Choi Sanwoo will come for his children, and that they are with an enemy clan will make the attack brutal...I need to get my defense up.

If not, I will take this to hell and I will make sure we burn in it, the pig and the mad dog.
