Jaehyun’s POV
I pay attention to the sound of water hitting the tiled wall and my skin, if I don’t...the feral roars of my alpha will drive me insane.
"Fuck" I curse and rest my palms on the wall, watching the water disappear into the drain.
’We will hold on, we will trust Yujun’ I school my alpha, repeating the mantra I have adopted for us.
Since Yujun left two days ago...almost three days now it has been hard for me.
All the measures I’ve kept in place to keep myself from going crazy are breaking down, and they are breaking down fast.
Mom seems too relaxed, like he knows something I don’t know, he’s so sure that Yujun would return to us.
I’m not sure...and I want to go and save him myself, fuck that...I need to go and bring him back myself.
’Our omega, our pup" my alpha says and I press my head to the cool wall of the shower.
I have been taking excessive showers, trying to cool my raging alpha and hoping that maybe when I open the door...like the last time, Yujun would be waiting for me.
The Choi siblings means so much more to me now that ever; Yunah is now with my clan, but Yujun is...with someone else.
Yunah and my mom has been glued at the hips, it’s almost like my mother gave birth to the girl by himself..
It’s only sickening that since I brought her here, her own family haven’t tried looking for her, the mafia world has been eerily silent but something tell me to prepare for war.
"Help me!" an unfamiliar feminine voice screams and I frown.
Who the fuck can it be? I am sure I know every one that belongs to this clan by voice.
The shout is repeated and the noise from outside filters into the bathroom as I turn off the shower.
Annoyed at the disturbance, I hurry out of the bathroom and tug on the nearest clothes my hand touch without drying my skin or hair..
"What is going on?" I growl as I step out my room, and the lady that was running out stops to answer me.
"It’s...it’s Lord Choi Yujun!" she says.
Choi Yujun is here?
’He’s here’ my alpha says, this being the first clear sentence he has made in days.
I turn around as fast as possible and run out to the gate.
I find that some of my clan members are already standing in front of the gate, gathering around omega, what is happening?
What the fuck is happening to my Yujun?
"What is happening to him?" my alpha growls loudly and they all move out of the way for me.
I see Yujun in the arms of a young girl who looks like she has been tortured and escaped, her body is skinny, but she’s holding Yujun with an uncanny strength.
Her eyes are blue and fierce as she growls at everyone to keep them away and to stop them from going near.
"Who are you? Don’t come close!" she yells me when I keep walking closer with my eyes fixed on my omega.
Yujun is just lying in her arms, his eyes are closed and his chest is barely moving, but I can tell he’s still breathing.
My omega is still breathing.
"Hand him over" I growl and she hisses at me, pulling Yujun closer to her, "he’s mine" I say to her.
"No, I won’t let anyone hurt him" she snarls at me and I can’t help but blink and wonder who this girl is.
My alpha is offended at the person standing between me and my omega.
"My Oppa? OPPA!" Yunah’s voice calls from behind me as she run out of the house and comes to where we are.
She kneels beside the girl and holds her brother’s face, I notice the way the girl seems to soften at Yunah’s sob.
"Is he okay?" Yunah asks the girl and she nods, "we got away, he asked to be brought here" she says.
"Oppa" Yunah says softly and Yujun opens his eyes slightly, "baby" he whispers before his eyes slips shut again.
I let out a hard breath, trying to restrain myself.
’Give him back to us’ my alpha roars and I push him down.
I don’t attempt to go and snatch him from the strange girl the way I want to, I just stand by and watch.
All that matters is that my Yujun is here.
My Yujun asked to be brought here.
I really want to take him and hold him to my chest, but I choose to respect that girl, she must have her reasons.
"Jaehyun Oppa, can you please help us bring my Oppa in?" Yunah asks me and the girl snarls again.
"Why should he touch Yujun-ssi?" the girl asks and I almost flash my eyes at her in irritation and annoyance.
She has no idea how fucking hard it is for me not take him away from her.
"It’s okay, he’s my oppa’s alpha" Yunah says to the young girl and with a glare, she finally let’s Yujun go.
’MINE’ my alpha howls as I lurch forward with eagerness to take Yujun from her.
As I gather him into my arms, a whimper slips past my throat.
I smell the distress on him, thick and burning, when I hold him, I see the way his eyelid twitches and I press my nose into his neck.
"You’re with me now" I murmur and he lets out a little sigh as I take him into my family home.
Everything else around me doesn’t matter.
I can hear the noise of my clan members moving out of the way, and the smell that fills the space is happiness...they are happy for me.
My family is celebrating that my omega is back to me.
I don’t look back as I take him directly to my room, to the nest that I left untouched just for him, hoping that he would choose to come back to me.
As I lay him down, The door open behind me and I growl, looking back to see who is invading my space.
It’s the stubborn girl who brought Yujun.
"Don’t ever hurt him" she says without formalities.
"Why would I hurt him? He’s the love of my fucking life" I get up to face her, and she shakes her head.
"That’s what you all say, just know...if you hurt him, I will hurt you" she says.
"Gawon-ssi!" Yunah says from behind her, already acquainted with each other during the brief moment I brought Yujun into my room.
"I’m just telling him" she says, still looking at me with stubborn resolve, meaning the words she is saying.
The tone and her expression makes me wonder...what the fuck did they run from that is making her so guarded?
’Who am I killing for Yujun this time?’ my alpha growls.
"It hurts" Yujun says in a small voice and I return to his side with both Gawon and Yunah.
"Junnah..." I call his name and he open his eyes.
"My stomach hurts...my baby" he says with a gasp and I freeze.
Something is happening to the baby.
Fuck.
