Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 927: Gao Mantang Invites Again
Chapter 927: Chapter 927: Gao Mantang Invites Again
Gao Zhitao was speechless as well. He couldn’t understand what was going on between Xiang Yu and Tie Zhuzi—before the other side even finished talking, they’d already hit the guy twice.
"Xiang Yu, let him finish before teaching him a lesson. I’ve heard of the Heavenly Dragon Gang before, but I don’t think I’ve had any dealings with them. So why would they want me dead?" Gao Zhitao asked, puzzled.
"This kid is just spouting nonsense here. We’re actually—"
"Smack!" Tie Zhuzi didn’t get to finish his sentence because Xiang Yu delivered another slap to Wang Hu’s face. Tie Zhuzi realized he’d said too much and quickly shut his mouth.
Wang Hu had been kicked earlier and now slapped again by Xiang Yu. At this point, his face was so swollen that it was unrecognizable, both sides puffed up high.
"I’ll talk..."
"Smack!"
Just as Wang Hu began speaking, Xiang Yu landed yet another slap across his face. Picking up his dagger, he calmly stared at Wang Hu and said, "Don’t bother. I gave you a chance earlier but you didn’t take it. Now, I don’t need it anymore."
Having said this, Xiang Yu slowly moved toward Wang Hu with the dagger.
Looking into Xiang Yu’s eyes, Wang Hu felt a deep sense of dread. His entire body began trembling as he screamed, "I’ll talk! I’ll talk! Just don’t hurt me!"
"Too late," Xiang Yu replied, and then aimed the dagger at Wang Hu’s most sensitive area.
That part of a man represents his dignity—his very lifeline. If Xiang Yu really went through with it, Wang Hu wouldn’t just become a eunuch; he’d be unable to survive in this line of work ever again.
"Help, I’ll talk, I’ll talk..." Wang Hu cried out, falling backward in his seat. Just as Xiang Yu’s dagger was about to make contact with his groin, Wang Hu’s pants suddenly became wet.
Xiang Yu swiftly withdrew the dagger. Thankfully, he acted fast, or else the blade would’ve been defiled by urine.
Tie Zhuzi saw Wang Hu wet himself and was so enraged that he ground his teeth and delivered a solid kick.
Traveling alongside Xiang Yu, Tie Zhuzi had encountered many who’d wet their pants out of fear. Every time, he’d generously award them with a few more kicks.
"Get out of here!" Tie Zhuzi grabbed Wang Hu by the collar and threw him out.
Such trash still thought he could survive in the underworld. And from the looks of it, he’d even gained some notoriety, likely borrowing the name of the Heavenly Dragon Gang plenty of times outside.
Gao Zhitao, lying in bed, burst into laughter. He’d never seen someone wet themselves in fear—especially not a grown man with a fierce and menacing appearance.
Xiang Yu sighed and put away his dagger. Truthfully, he had only been trying to scare the guy.
Wang Hu sat outside against the wall, utterly blank. Just moments ago, he’d almost lost his manhood, and this had pushed his mental state to the brink.
A few minutes later, Wang Hu broke down and started crying outside. It wasn’t just sobbing—it was heartfelt, as if he’d just endured some enormous injustice.
Tie Zhuzi, annoyed by the crying, stepped outside ready to knock Wang Hu out cold. But just then, Gao Mantang returned with a group of people, looking furious.
Taking in the scene, Gao Mantang was stunned. He quickly rushed over to Gao Zhitao, checking him over from head to toe. When he saw his grandson was unharmed, he finally relaxed.
"What happened?" Gao Mantang asked, both curious and a little tense.
Gao Zhitao hurriedly recounted the events, adding in a bit of exaggeration since Xiang Yu was his friend.
Xiang Yu didn’t bother correcting him, while Tie Zhuzi muttered about Gao Zhitao downplaying the drama too much.
After Gao Mantang heard the account, his forehead broke out in a cold sweat. Despite his many years in the military, he’d fallen for a simple diversion tactic. If word got out, it would be humiliating.
Thankfully, Xiang Yu had been there today. Otherwise, his grandson might actually have been in danger.
"Take them away for questioning. Make sure you find out who’s behind all this," Gao Mantang ordered grimly.
That someone dared scheme against him, even trying to kill his grandson—whoever it was, once he found out, he wouldn’t forgive them.
His bodyguards responded promptly, dragging the two men away. Gao Mantang’s methods could only be described as terrifying.
In the police station, interrogations required cameras, and they couldn’t resort to extreme measures. But in Gao Mantang’s realm, such restrictions were child’s play. He had only one rule: use any means necessary to uncover the truth.
After the men were taken away, Gao Mantang’s face reddened slightly. He turned to Xiang Yu and said, "Thank you both so much for today. If it weren’t for you, things could’ve turned disastrous."
Xiang Yu waved it off and replied, "We just happened to be here, nothing more."
Gao Mantang noticed Xiang Yu’s humility and lack of arrogance, which made him admire Xiang Yu even more.
"Xiang Yu, I still hope you’ll consider enlisting. If you join the military, I can look out for you," Gao Mantang said with earnest eyes.
Gao Mantang still had influence and genuinely hoped Xiang Yu would join the army. If Xiang Yu did, Gao Mantang would ensure his rapid promotion through the ranks.
Xiang Yu understood the suggestion but had too many loose ends to tie up. Joining the military now just wasn’t an option.
Besides, he wasn’t sure if his records had been erased. If they had, he was a free man. If they hadn’t, he was still a soldier.
"Thanks. If I ever decide to join the military, you’ll definitely be the first person I approach," Xiang Yu said with a polite smile.
Gao Zhitao, lying there, protested unhappily, "Grandpa, I’ve told you so many times—stop trying to rope Xiang Yu into this. No one in their right mind wants to go to a place like that; there’s not even a single woman!"
Gao Mantang was often left speechless by his grandson. His original plan had been to groom Gao Zhitao as his successor, but the boy couldn’t handle the rules and restrictions.
Eventually, Gao Zhitao chose to become a police officer, where he spent his days half-assing his duties. Yet this time, he had actually brought some pride to the Gao Family.
"You really should think this through soon," Gao Mantang reminded.
Xiang Yu nodded, then steered the conversation away, saying, "While we’ve caught a few people, this isn’t over yet. They’ll be coming very soon."
Gao Mantang frowned and nodded, "Let’s interrogate these four thoroughly first. I refuse to believe there’s anyone in this city brave enough to mess with the Gao Family."
"I’m not talking about them—I mean the ones who called Zhitao," Xiang Yu said seriously.
"What? The callers aren’t part of this group?" Gao Mantang asked, looking at Gao Zhitao in confusion.
Gao Zhitao shrugged helplessly and said, "Don’t look at me—I have no idea."
Now Gao Mantang was starting to take Xiang Yu more seriously. Turning to him, he asked, "Xiang Yu, what do you think we should do next?"
Gao Mantang’s carelessness had almost sent his grandson to an early meeting with King Yan. Now, he dared not take any more chances.
Though Xiang Yu was young, his experience and strategic insight rivaled that of anyone present...
