Chapter 1201: Chapter 1143 Figuring Out

After reading the documents for a while. He couldn’t deny the fact that Melissa was a very wise woman, business wise.

The deals were carefully and thoroughly planned and drafted. At the end of the file, there was a sheet of paper marked ’netizens opinions’ and there were statistical and percentile records on it.

"What is this?" Murray’s father was more concerned about the sheet of paper. He had no clue about it.

"Your daughter in law was more concerned about netizens. She believed that is the fastest way to control opinion formulation" the assistant laughed.

"Netizens?" Murray’s father sought explanation.

"Users of the web, simply put internet citizens" he answered clearly.

"Oh! I was lost" Murray’s father chuckled. " mId she cares so much about it. I should care so much about it" Murray’s father concluded.

"There are other ways to calculate and implement opinion formulation. Better ways that are accurate" the assistant countered.

"From everything I have seen in this reports. Melissa is a very wise woman. Not following her footsteps will mean foolishness" he asserted strongly.

"Are you saying, you will also release numerous batches of information to make another company collapse?" the assistant questioned.

"A company that did what Anthony company did. Yes. And I thought you just said, my daughter in law achieved her goal? So let’s keep following her path" he maintained.

"In that case, I will have to prepare your own computers" the assistant sighed.

"Why? What about these ones?" Murray’s father pointed at the computers on the desk.

"If we are following her path, she loves that no one tampers her browsing history, not even if you are working for her" the assistant conveyed.

"Then get me a good one. And I am going to need your assistance while journeying through the web. Internet is not my strong suit" he confessed.

The assistant left hurriedly.

He came back with some good technicians who brought some computers and got it set within few minutes.

They left after they had completed their jobs.

"Now, how do we start?" Murray’s father rubbed his palms together.

"There is this, one forum that she is addicted to. I think we should check that one first" the assistant answered quickly.

"Yes, we are following her path" Murray’s father watched as Melissa’s assistant operated the computers sending in the command swiftly.

"We are there!" he pushed the keyboard closer to Murray’s father.

"So all I have to do is....." Murray’s father was stuck at the sight of the forum.

"Read through and calculate the percentage of positive and negative opinions or comments" the assistant lectured.

"Isn’t this a little too much?" Murray’s father felt weak

"I said there are better and more accurate methods" the assistant reminded him.

"No we are following her path. We should keep that in mind" he sighed and got ready to read through.

"I can take my leave, I think" the assistant sought permission.

Murray’s father waved at him to go. His presence was going to be a distraction anyway.

There was no way he could read all the comments. He was sure even Melissa would not. He had to select which to read.

The best thing was to read the most engaged. That way the calculations would be close, no reports could be accurate.

He read the first most engaged comments caught by his eyes.

"I heard that Murray’s company is now moving to acquire Anthony’s company that is now in rubbles. Smart move" the comments was really brief.

"Words travel fast" he chuckled. People were already talking about it whereas he had not signed the acquisition documents. Anthony company were not even informed yet.

He didn’t know where to group the comments whether positive or negative.

He continued to another chosen comments.

"The law enforcement should look into these entertainment companies. This is daylight robbery by Murray’s company. Who knows....."

Murray’s father couldn’t read it to the end. It was a negative disheartening comments. The commenter must be a hater of Murray’s company.

"I heard that Anthony’s company started this little war but it consumed them. Moral: Do not start what you can not finish" a comment from surely a light hearted individual.

Murray’s father couldn’t stop himself from laughing.

After reading for some time, the positive comments were only forty nine percent, the negatives were fifty while he couldn’t decide where to group one percent.

On whichever basis. This wasn’t a good result. It could get better. He started pondering on methods to use in bettering them.

The phone on the desk rang. It was the secretary.

"What is it?" Murray’s father asked coldly. He was worked up by his fruitless brainstorming. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"Law enforcement officers are here" the secretary replied on the phone.

"Okay, let them come in" he sighed. He knew well that was not a good development. That was what most of the negative comments he just read mentioned. They wanted law enforcement to look into it.

Two officers came into the office immediately.

"You can sit down, gentlemen" he welcomed them. "I’m sorry, there is not much time but law enforcement shouldn’t be kept waiting" he chuckled.

"We won’t really take much of your time. We just need to confirm some rumors about your company, sir" one of them professed.

"Rumors, confirm?" Murray’s father stressed. "I don’t know if you are familiar with this company that much but I am a temporary manager" he couldn’t handle them. The best was to dismiss them.

"Maybe we should be more clearer. This company is moving to acquire a company which is supposedly crippled by this company to motivate the acquisition" the officer talked like he was reading.

"If I say I understand a part of what you said,I will be lying" Murray’s father chuckled. "The manager is in the hospital attending to her children that need her presence to heal faster and better. I guess you should delay your investigation that was being fueled by rumors" he breathed heavily after holding his breath.

"Acting Manager sir" the other officer called with strictness. "The issue of acquisition is not something you won’t know about. My advice is you be a gentleman and give answers to our questions" it seemed like he was trying to threaten him.
