Unscented-Chapter 1180 - 1122 cultivation
Melissa shouldn’t be careless as he warned. It would have great, unimaginable consequences.
Melissa was living in a separate room. She was isolated to make her recovery fast.
And she was provided a firm bed to sleep on
Sharing the bed with her would make her feel uncomfortable.
Discomfort might hinder her recovery as the doctor warned
The children’s presence and recklessness should also be avoided. She needed calmness and rest
And if she felt like seeing the baby, Murray would bring it around.
"I will be at home often to help with some chores, I will just be going to the office once in a while" Murray assured her
Melissa nodded with a smile. His words were comforting. As long as there was no problem in the office, his presence wouldn’t matter
Melissa looked satisfied. It seemed she had nothing to worry about. Murray had already promised everything she wanted.
And it was voluntarily from his heart.
It was good for Melissa
After few days
Calvin came in to the house.
Melissa stared at him from the bed. She would have pounced on him and beat him to stupor if she had the strength.
"You are so heartless. You left your wife here without anything. And she had a baby in her womb. You do not deserve to be called a man at all" she fumed at him
"You shouldn’t have come back. Do you know what Shayna is going through right now? And the baby in her womb?" she questioned angrily.Calvin lowered his head. It seemed he had planned to accept anything that was said to him without replying.
He must have come back for a reason.
"I am very worried about Shayna and the baby. I haven’t seen her for a long time. I miss her" he sobbed
"It wasn’t intentional. I have always wanted to be here. But I had a lot of work to attend to at the mines" he explained sadly
"I came immediately I completed everything" he noddedd
"And there was no way I could reach her all these time. I was in remote place, disconnected from the other world. It was coal mines and oil fields. I wasn’t free" he snorted.
"There is no signal tower. It takes three days to get to the nearest village where you could make a call. A call that might not get connected" he said remorsefully.
He was obviously sad. The expression on his face was remorseful
"When I searched for her, I was told she had committed suicide. I really want to see her badly" he pleaded.
Melissa rolled her eyes at him.
"You said your area disconnected from the outside world. Didn’t you come out to purchase utilities? That’s no excuse for not contacting her" she argued.
"And you are just coming back all these days. If you really wanted to see her badly, you would have come days before now" she scolded him
Melissa kept becoming angrier the more she looked up at him.
Calvin was dumbfounded.
He obviously didn’t have anything to say.
"I know Shayna must have gone through a lot. That was why you are so infuriated. And I did contact her successfully sometimes. The call was not answered" he said like he was just recollecting
"I thought maybe she was at a show or rehearsal and didn’t have time to answer the call" he let out.
"And there was no way she could reach me once I went back to the fields. That was why I didn’t know something bad has happened" he scoffed
Melissa heaved a sigh of relief.
"I don’t care what you say, but now that you are back. It is up to Shayna to decide whether to forgive you or not" she said
"Go to Murray and ask him. I am sick. I need to rest. There is no time to talk with you" she turned on her side.
Calvin went out of the room to find Murray immediately.
He found Murray. He quickly approached him and asked about Shayna.
Murray was also angry but he still lent him his ears to hear what Calvin had to say
Murray sighed after Calvin finished talking.
"The baby in her womb had a problem and she finally got into depression" he moaned.
