Mr.Marc hurriedly left the house.He knew that it was urgent to get to the riverside.Otherwise,something more unexpected might happen.

Mrs Gibson replied hastily,

Mr Marc snorted and was quiet.When they arrived at the riverside.They met Melissa standing in a daze.She was still shrouded in the pain.

Mrs Gibson gritted her teeth,she let out a deep breath and said,

"I’m sorry.It’s our fault.We didn’t want this to happen either.I was wrong.I really was wrong this time."

Mrs Gibson apologized,but she didn’t confess to ordering Claire to perpetuate the act.But simply admitting her mistake was equivalent to her admitting her sin.

Mr Marc sat quietly without saying a word.Melissa was so sullen and speechless as she listened to her confession.

Mr Gibson added,

"It was all Claire’s plan.Murray couldn’t take your call,because he was drugged by Claire."She was certain that Claire wouldn’t escape from the river.So she blamed her for it.

Even if Claire miraculously escaped.She would be unable to defend herself.And would have to bear everything herself.

"And about your divorce,Claire is also behind it.Without her,you would have still been with Murray.I was oblivious to her plans at the beginning."

Mrs Gibson painted herself as the victim,whereby she was the mastermind of the whole scenerio.Mr Marc just kept must and didn’t expose her.

Melissa knew the kind of person that she was.She recalled the past,her mind reminisced on Mrs Gibson’s attitude towards her and Murray.

"Enough!If Murray and my children aren’t rescued,why do you think that I’ll forgive you?"

"If you want to ask forgiveness,go ask it from Murray and my children."Melissa broke down completely.Her eyes were redden and tears dropped from them.

"I forgive you!Does that bring back my children?I forgive you!Does that bring back Murray?"

"You know clearly what you’ve done.Don’t think you can erase your deeds by mere apologies!"Melissa added bluntly.Even though Mrs Gibson criticized Claire she didn’t appear less guilty.

"I know I did something wrong.Please give me another chance."Mrs Gibson lowered her head and cried.

"I said I won’t accept your apology!Since you want to sit here,you can have the entire space."Melissa stood up angrily,she walked to the river without saying a word to Mr Marc.

Melissa asked the police officer if they had received any trace of Murray and the children.

The officer in charge shook his head and said,

"We’re still searching,but we’ve found a clue,you can take a look."The officer handed the quilt to Melissa.

"This is my babies’s quilt.This is my.."Melissa broke down in tears again as Shayna patted her on the back soothingly.

Shayna knew that since it had come to this,they only looked forward to a miracle.

"Don’t worry.Now that we’ve found the quilt,we’ll comb this place thoroughly."The officer assured her.Shayna kept persuading Melissa to remain calm.
