Chapter 84: Chapter 84 Eyes Like an Eagle

Lin Kuang didn’t hesitate, his lips landing on Fan Bingbing’s fiery red ones. The next moment, their bodies shuddered intensely. Although it wasn’t their first kiss, the soft touch and faint, sweet fragrance that filled his senses still made Lin Kuang shiver.

Fan Bingbing felt the same way. Lin Kuang’s potent masculine scent gave her an indescribable feeling of infatuation, and the arms she had wrapped around his waist instinctively tightened. Lin Kuang naturally noticed her reaction, and his tongue deftly slipped past her teeth. At that instant, their bodies jolted again as an ineffable feeling rose in their hearts.

The next moment, Lin Kuang grew somewhat greedy and domineering as he plundered her red lips. Fan Bingbing offered no resistance. With flushed cheeks, she allowed him to kiss her, her somewhat clumsy lips trying their best to respond. God knows how long it was before they finally parted.

By then, Fan Bingbing’s cheeks were crimson, her delicate body completely limp in Lin Kuang’s embrace. Her lips were slightly parted as she panted for breath. Lin Kuang wasn’t much better off, also breathing heavily.

"Is this that unfinished kiss?" Fan Bingbing asked, her cheeks flushed as she lifted her head. Her beautiful eyes shimmered as she gazed quietly at Lin Kuang.

"I suppose so. But there’s another unfinished kiss waiting, isn’t there?" Lin Kuang said, laughing as he held the soft body in his arms.

Hearing this, Fan Bingbing couldn’t help but roll her eyes. "I think you’re a very sly guy."

Saying this, she hugged Lin Kuang tightly and buried her head deep into his chest. In that moment, their relationship grew much closer, as if they could feel each other’s innermost thoughts.

"Am I? If I were a sly guy, I would have already started getting handsy. I’m actually quite the gentleman," Lin Kuang said with a grin, acting the part perfectly.

"I don’t believe you. It’s only because I’m wearing a long dress that it’s hard for you to make a move!" Fan Bingbing said, her cheeks tinged with red.

She regretted her words as soon as she said them. Unbeknownst to her, Lin Kuang’s hand had already slipped inside her dress, coming to rest on her smooth back. In an instant, her pretty face turned an enticing shade of crimson. Her eyes shot Lin Kuang a look, and her breathing became slightly ragged.

"No... don’t. Not here," she whispered, her voice as soft as a mosquito’s buzz.

"So, you’re saying it would be okay if we weren’t here?" Lin Kuang teased, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"No, no, that’s not what I meant," Fan Bingbing hastily protested.

"Then what did you mean? Is that a yes or a no?" Lin Kuang asked with a playful smile.

"Oh, it’s nothing at all! I’m not talking to you anymore!" Fan Bingbing replied petulantly, burying her blushing face in Lin Kuang’s chest, her heart pounding even faster.

"Are you leaving East Sea tomorrow?" Lin Kuang asked after zipping up the back of her dress.

"Yes, I’m leaving tomorrow. I might not be back for a long time. I have a lot of business to handle back home," Fan Bingbing murmured, her tone laced with obvious reluctance. This time, however, her reluctance didn’t seem to stem from leaving the stage she was so familiar with, but rather from this man’s chest she had grown so fond of.

"Then you should go. Remember to call me when you have time, okay?" Lin Kuang said with a smile, patting her on the back.

"Okay, I will. Will you... will you miss me?" Fan Bingbing asked, her cheeks flushed.

"Of course, I will," Lin Kuang replied without a second thought.

"Hmph, that’s more like it," Fan Bingbing huffed. Her demeanor resembled that of an innocent young girl untainted by worldly affairs, which made Lin Kuang smile in amusement.

The two sat there quietly, and the atmosphere in the room grew cozy and intimate.

After an indeterminate amount of time, a knock came from the door, followed by a woman’s voice from outside. "Miss Bingbing, it’s almost time to start. Please come out for your makeup."

"Oh, just a moment," Fan Bingbing replied, finally snapping back to reality. Lying in Lin Kuang’s embrace, she had almost forgotten she had a concert to perform. With that thought, she sat up straight again. "I’m going to get my makeup done. If you have nothing else to do, you can just wait here," she said with a smile as she stood up.

"No, I think I’ll go for a walk as well," Lin Kuang said, smiling back.

"Then let’s go," Fan Bingbing said with a smile.

"Aren’t you afraid of being seen and becoming the subject of gossip?" Lin Kuang asked with a grin.

"What is there to be afraid of? Besides, you haven’t gotten your way with me yet," Fan Bingbing said with a sly smile.

"Well, maybe I’ll get my way tonight," Lin Kuang said with a mischievous smile, his eyes tracing her tempting figure.

Seeing this, Fan Bingbing’s lovely face turned red again. "Then you can just try!"

With that, the blushing Fan Bingbing turned and left, leaving Lin Kuang with a captivating view of her back.

He habitually shrugged. So, should I give it a try tonight or not? he wondered.

Eventually, seeming unsure of what to do, he turned and left the dressing room. He checked the time and saw it was nearly seven o’clock. Lin Kuang went directly to a vantage point on the second floor of the gymnasium, which gave him a clear view of the entrance.

"Black Scorpion, how many of you will come?" he murmured, lighting a cigarette as a grim killing intent flickered in his eyes.

When the clock struck seven, Lin Kuang’s gaze was fixed unwaveringly on the gymnasium entrance, his deep-set eyes as sharp as an eagle’s. As he watched the crowds of men and women file into the venue, his eyes darted about, silently making calculations. At the same time, he also spotted Liu Shilin, Witch, Lin Guo’er, Duoduo, Susu, and the rest of their group.

By seven-thirty, the gymnasium was nearly full, and Lin Kuang retracted his gaze. Just as he did, however, his eyes flickered, his sight landing on a uniformed security guard. A series of images flashed through his mind, finally freezing on one frame in particular. It showed a distinct bulge around the ankle of the security guard.

A pistol? They’ve even infiltrated the security team. These Black Scorpion guys are really something else, he mused. He then left his vantage point and headed back toward the dressing room.

When he arrived at the entrance, he called one of the guards over and told him about the Black Scorpion member he had spotted. For Lin Kuang, identifying members of Black Scorpion was an easy task. After all, battle-hardened veterans are fundamentally different from ordinary people. They carry the indelible scent of the battlefield, an aura that can’t be hidden unless their abilities reach Lin Kuang’s level.

Hearing Lin Kuang’s words, the man seemed surprised but said nothing, simply nodding. He then went to the door of the dressing room, said something to his colleague, and hastily departed.
