Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 71: Language Intimidation
"Who are you?!"
Suppressing the rage in his heart, Ye Tiannan asked, his expression grim. The fury in his eyes was undisguised, though he no longer revealed any killing intent.
"Who am I? I’m Ruotong’s man. You could say I’m your romantic rival. Oh no, you’re not even worthy of being my rival." Cradling the delicate body in his arms, Lin Kuang wagged a finger and spoke with a smile, appearing completely indifferent, as if he hadn’t noticed the anger in Ye Tiannan’s eyes.
At that moment, Lin Kuang was in an excellent mood. The soft, warm body resting quietly in his arms felt wonderful. With every breath, a faint, sweet fragrance wafted from Yang Ruotong’s body, making Lin Kuang’s heart flutter. He controlled himself well, however, because this was all just an act.
Hearing Lin Kuang’s self-introduction, the anger in Ye Tiannan’s eyes intensified. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
He greatly desired Yang Ruotong. The very sight of her sparked a powerful, possessive urge to conquer her. More importantly, he wanted a marriage alliance with the Yang Family. The Yang Family held significant energy in East Sea, and their support would considerably smooth his father’s political career.
His father was the Mayor of East Sea. That was why he had dared to suggest his own father propose the marriage alliance to Yang Ruotong’s father. He was so bold precisely because his father had that kind of energy.
"Kid, I advise you to let go of Ruotong immediately, or I’ll make you regret coming to East Sea!" Ye Tiannan said coldly, his eyes filled with rage.
"Regret coming to East Sea? Because of you? What worthless mutt are you?!"
As he spoke his final words, Lin Kuang’s tone changed abruptly, becoming filled with a grim killing intent. He fixed Ye Tiannan with a frigid stare, as if he might kill him in the next instant.
At the sight of Lin Kuang’s gaze, a shiver inexplicably ran down Ye Tiannan’s spine, and he forcibly swallowed the words he was about to say. He had a feeling that if he dared to say anything more, Lin Kuang really would kill him on the spot.
"Get lost. You’re not welcome here. Don’t make me say it a second time." As he spoke, Lin Kuang’s eyes narrowed slightly, a cold, deadly intent flickering within them.
Ye Tiannan wanted to say more, but faced with Lin Kuang’s chilling glare, he couldn’t bring himself to utter a single word. His face turned beet red with suppressed anger. Finally, he gave a cold snort, flicked his sleeves, and stormed off. Before leaving, however, he took a long, hard look at Lin Kuang, as if to sear his face into his memory.
"Ye Tiannan, you’d better behave," Lin Kuang said coolly. "If you’re thinking of finding people to deal with me, you’d better hope I don’t find out. Otherwise, I’ll make you regret ever setting foot in East Sea. If you don’t believe me, feel free to try."
His indifferent tone made Ye Tiannan’s footsteps falter as an inexplicable fear rose in his heart. He had no idea where the feeling came from. All he knew was that he was terrified.
Ye Tiannan trudged away, leaving the Yang Family’s villa in disgrace. After making his threat, Lin Kuang didn’t spare him another glance. Clearly, he didn’t consider the man a threat at all.
Once Ye Tiannan was gone, the atmosphere in the dining room grew somewhat tense. Just then, little Xinxin piped up, "Uncle, you’re so awesome!"
Xinxin giggled, her delicate, doll-like face lighting up in an incredibly adorable smile.
"It was nothing. Xinxin is the one who’s really cute," Lin Kuang couldn’t help but reply with a smile, seeing how happy she was.
"Of course! Xinxin has always been adorable," she said with a grin, tilting her little head with a touch of playful pride.
Seeing her cute antics, Lin Kuang, Yang Ruotong, and Yang Ruoxi all laughed.
After the laughter subsided, a shy voice spoke from Lin Kuang’s chest. "Lin Kuang, can you let me go now?" The bashful question sounded utterly enchanting.
Lin Kuang froze for a moment, only then realizing he was still holding Yang Ruotong. Thinking of this, he gave an embarrassed smile and quickly released her.
"Ahem, sorry about that, Ruotong. I hope you don’t mind what just happened," Lin Kuang said awkwardly.
"It’s okay," Yang Ruotong said, her face slightly flushed and her beautiful eyes full of worry. "But you’ve offended Ye Tiannan. You must be very careful from now on. He’s the mayor’s son."
However, as she left Lin Kuang’s embrace, she felt a sudden pang of reluctance. His firm arms had been surprisingly comforting, and for a moment, she had felt a sense of dependence on them.
"Don’t worry, as long as you’re all alright. I can handle everything else," Lin Kuang said with a smile. A mere mayor was nothing to him. He honestly didn’t care.
"Don’t worry, sis," Yang Ruoxi chimed in cheerfully. "Didn’t you hear Dad? He’s some ’Wild Wolf King’ and he’s in the military, so you don’t have to worry."
"Yes, but it’s still better to be careful," Yang Ruotong cautioned. "That Ye Tiannan is a very sinister person. He’s capable of anything."
"I understand," Lin Kuang said with a smile, not taking the incident to heart. "Let’s eat before the food gets cold."
After dinner, Lin Kuang followed Yang Ruoxi back to her room, where they both sat cross-legged on the bed.
Lin Kuang placed his palm on her back, and a surge of supremely yang and unyielding True Qi flowed from him into her body. At the same time, the Tai Chi power within Yang Ruoxi began to circulate, harmonizing her native Extreme Yin Cold Qi with Lin Kuang’s potent True Qi.
Half an hour later, Lin Kuang removed his hand and carefully examined her. Her condition was surprisingly good, all thanks to the work of the Tai Chi power within her.
"Ruoxi, are you feeling any discomfort?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile after checking her over.
"Not at all. My body feels warm and very comfortable," Yang Ruoxi replied with a smile.
"Good, that’s great. Alright, that’s all for today’s treatment," Lin Kuang said as he got off the bed.
"Okay, thanks a lot, Speedy Boy," Yang Ruoxi said with a giggle.
"Why be so formal? If you really want to thank me, I wouldn’t mind, you know," Lin Kuang said with a sly smile, giving her a meaningful glance.
At this, Yang Ruoxi’s pretty face flushed red as she recalled their kiss.
"Jerk! Get out of here!" she snapped, glaring at him.
"Alright, alright. And here I thought you were going to thank me," Lin Kuang sighed, feigning helplessness.
"Thank me? In your dreams, you shameless jerk!" Yang Ruoxi huffed. With a sway of her hips, she turned and walked out first, leaving Lin Kuang with only the charming sight of her back.
