Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 209: Raising an Army to Inquire About Faults
Lin Kuang was speechless. This is just blatant unreasonableness, isn’t it?
After a moment, he decided to say nothing more. Isn’t it normal for women to be unreasonable?
From the passenger seat, the little witch glanced at Lin Kuang. Seeing his frustrated expression, she felt quite smug. Hmph, you’ve got a long way to go before you can compete with me! she gloated inwardly, her mood improving even more.
Lin Kuang drove to Wang Ya Hao’s manor and parked the car.
"Come inside with me. I don’t want you getting into trouble out here," Lin Kuang said coolly, glancing at the little witch.
"You don’t need to tell me that. I already know," the little witch huffed, looking at his face before turning to get out of the car.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang grumbled to himself. No good deed goes unpunished!
Muttering, Lin Kuang also got out of the car and led the little witch toward the manor’s main gate.
Outside, two bodyguards in suits stopped them.
One of them asked, "Sir, who are you looking for?"
"Who am I looking for? That bastard Wang Ya Hao, of course! Now get out of my way!" the little witch burst out before Lin Kuang could speak.
The thought of Wang Ya Hao sending people to abduct her filled the little witch with rage, so naturally, her words were harsh.
Hearing her words, the bodyguard frowned slightly and said coolly, "Please show some respect." His tone held a clear note of disapproval.
This instantly infuriated the little witch. She was about to retort when Lin Kuang made his move.
He swiftly closed in on one of them, his right hand swinging down in a fierce chop to the back of the man’s neck. Without so much as a grunt, the man collapsed to the ground, completely unconscious.
The other bodyguard’s expression changed the moment he saw Lin Kuang act. He stepped forward and threw a punch at Lin Kuang’s head.
Lin Kuang snorted and sidestepped the fist. He followed up with another knife-hand strike, knocking this man out cold as well. After all, these two were just bodyguards. Lin Kuang wasn’t petty enough to take his anger out on them, especially since the real target was inside.
Watching Lin Kuang knock out both bodyguards, the little witch was stunned for a moment before giving him a look of satisfaction.
"Not bad, kiddo. Come on, follow me inside!" she said patronizingly, patting Lin Kuang’s shoulder as if praising him for being so sensible.
Lin Kuang paused, a wry smile spreading across his face. This girl is just too full of herself! Yet he really had no way of dealing with her. Resigned, he followed in her footsteps toward the villa’s front door.
At that moment, Wang Ya Hao happened to be at home. On ordinary days, he wouldn’t be so idle, but today was different. Hajin had taken his men to abduct the little witch, and Wang Ya Hao had been at home waiting for news.
As Hajin and his group still hadn’t returned, Wang Ya Hao was growing quite worried. He had tried calling Hajin several times in a row, but no one answered, making him increasingly uneasy.
Could something have happened to Hajin and his crew, too? Wang Ya Hao paced the living room with his head down, his expression grim.
Just then, the front door flew open with a loud BANG.
Already in a foul mood, Wang Ya Hao found the noise even more irritating. He looked up toward the entrance, and the sight of his visitors made him startle. His expression turned exceptionally ugly.
Entering was none other than the little witch, and right behind her was Lin Kuang.
Seeing this, Wang Ya Hao instantly understood that Hajin had failed. Otherwise, how could the little witch and Lin Kuang appear here completely unscathed? What made him even more uneasy, however, was the implication. Since they found this place, does that mean they already know I arranged everything? Wang Ya Hao forced himself to remain calm, absolutely determined not to admit his involvement.
"Shiyu, what are you doing here?" Wang Ya Hao asked with a smile as he stood up, feigning great familiarity with Liu Shiyu.
"Hmph, Wang Ya Hao, cut the crap! I’m asking you, why did you have those Americans kidnap me? You bastard, what the hell are you trying to pull?!" the little witch said furiously, staring at his nonchalant act. The fact that he was still pretending, even after everything was exposed, truly infuriated her.
"Er... Americans? Kidnapping you? Shiyu, what’s this all about? How could that have anything to do with me? You must be mistaken," Wang Ya Hao asked, looking completely stunned and bewildered.
His acting skills were truly impressive. It was a waste he hadn’t won an Oscar.
"Hmph, Wang Ya Hao, keep up your act! Go on, keep pretending! Do you take me for a fool? Those Americans already confessed that you arranged for them to do it! I’m warning you, Wang Ya Hao, if anything like this ever happens again, I’ll... I’ll beat you to death!" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
The little witch gritted her teeth, threatening him vehemently, but her words lacked any real menace.
"Shiyu, you’ve really got it wrong. Aren’t they just trying to frame me? You’re Shilin’s sister! How could I ever send someone after you? This has to be a terrible misunderstanding!" Wang Ya Hao exclaimed, his tone a mix of grievance and anger. He acted for all the world like he’d been wrongly accused, his expression so convincing it seemed completely genuine.
Seeing this, the little witch became uncertain. She couldn’t tell if he was lying, as his performance seemed flawless. She hesitated, suddenly unsure of what to say.
Seeing the change in the little witch’s expression, Wang Ya Hao smirked to himself. He knew he had successfully fooled her, and he breathed a silent sigh of relief. However, he seemed to have forgotten that the little witch hadn’t come alone. Lin Kuang was right behind her!
The little witch was just a student who hadn’t experienced much of the world. Wang Ya Hao, on the other hand, had been navigating society for a long time and was a deep schemer. Tricking her was hardly a challenge for him. Seeing this, Lin Kuang couldn’t help but smile bitterly. This girl is so naive, letting a guy like Wang Ya Hao fool her so easily. With that thought, Lin Kuang stepped toward Wang Ya Hao.
Only then did Wang Ya Hao remember that Lin Kuang was standing right behind the little witch. The little witch was easy to deceive, but was Lin Kuang? Of course not.
Lin Kuang stopped just over a foot away from Wang Ya Hao.
The next moment, he swung his right hand and viciously slapped it across Wang Ya Hao’s left cheek.
