Chapter 204: 204

Lin Kuang was stunned for a moment, then took out his phone to check it. The caller was none other than the Little Witch!

Seeing her call, he was taken aback again. "Isn’t she supposed to be getting out of school? Why is she calling me?" he muttered softly.

"Answer it quickly! Maybe it’s something urgent," Liu Shilin said, her face still flushed.

Lin Kuang nodded and quickly accepted the call. The moment he answered, the Little Witch’s panicked scream erupted from the other end. "Bastard, help me! Quick! Come save me! I’m at the school gate, and a bunch of Americans are trying to grab me!"

The line was filled with chaotic noise, and the Little Witch’s voice was frantic, her words punctuated by heavy gasps for air. It sounded like she was running. Because her voice was so loud and Lin Kuang was standing close to Liu Shilin, Liu Shilin heard the cry for help as well. Hearing the plea, her expression changed drastically. The blush on her cheeks vanished, replaced by a deathly pallor as terror filled her eyes.

Lin Kuang quickly responded, "Okay, don’t hang up. Stay where you are. I’ll be there immediately!"

With that, he turned and sprinted out the door.

"Lin Kuang, be careful! You have to bring Shiyu back!" Liu Shilin yelled after his rapidly retreating figure.

"Don’t worry, Shilin! I’ll definitely bring the Little Witch back safe and sound!" Lin Kuang’s voice trailed back, but he had already vanished from the office.

Americans? Could they be accomplices of those people from yesterday? It’s not entirely impossible. Lin Kuang thought as he ran.

"Bastard, you have to hurry! If you don’t get here soon, they’ll take me away!" the Little Witch screamed, her voice growing even more urgent.

"Okay, I’m on my way! I’m almost there, just wait for me!" Lin Kuang replied. He burst out of the Yashi Company building, jumped into his car, and gunned the engine. The black Mercedes shot forward like a steel beast, accelerating to its top speed. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

While Lin Kuang was racing to the scene, the sound of gunshots suddenly echoed from the Little Witch’s end of the line. Lin Kuang’s gaze turned impossibly cold as he floored the accelerator, pushing the car even faster.

"Little Witch! Little Witch, are you okay? Answer me!" he demanded frantically.

"I’m... I’m not dead yet. The bullets didn’t hit me," the Little Witch replied, her voice trembling.

At that moment, outside the Little Witch’s school, Hajin and his five subordinates were trying to control the crowd of students.

Hajin was both frustrated and furious. He had assumed it would be easy to capture the Little Witch, but a massive wave of students poured out of the school at dismissal. Despite the crowd, he still managed to spot her. After all, her distinctive baby face and ample bust were too obvious to miss. The moment Hajin saw her, he and his men started moving in her direction.

The Little Witch saw them at the same time. As Hajin approached, she felt a primal sense of danger. The way he and his men stared at her was overtly hostile, not the way a stranger would look at her. Realizing this, she tentatively started to run.

Sure enough, the instant she tried to flee, Hajin and his men gave chase. Now the Little Witch was certain: these people were here to kidnap her.

Thinking fast, she began weaving through the throng of students, yelling at the top of her lungs, "They’re assassins! They all have guns! Everybody, run!"

Her desperate shout startled many people. Since it was dismissal time, the area was densely packed with students. Hearing her words, they turned to look at Hajin’s group. Some of the students closest to them clearly saw the firearms they carried. Terrified, they started to run. Their panicked screams caused a ripple effect, and soon everyone was fleeing. The school entrance instantly devolved into utter chaos.

Amid the commotion, the Little Witch seized the opportunity to call Lin Kuang. She couldn’t help but feel a little proud of her quick thinking. If she hadn’t deliberately caused such a disturbance, they would have already captured her. With the crowd in disarray, catching her would be much more difficult. She just had to hold out until Lin Kuang arrived, and then she would be safe.

The student-made chaos created a real problem for Hajin, making his task much trickier. He knew he couldn’t afford to waste time; if the police arrived, they were all dead.

With this thought, Hajin pulled out his Desert Eagle, fired several shots into the air, and roared in fluent Mandarin, "Nobody move! Get on the ground, or I’ll start killing you!"

The sound of gunshots combined with Hajin’s furious roar terrified the students. They collapsed to the ground, their legs turning to jelly, all thoughts of running gone. In an instant, a huge area was filled with crouching students, with almost no one left standing.

The Little Witch was still on her feet. The gunshots had startled her, too; for a moment, she thought they were shooting at her. Seeing that almost everyone was on the ground, she knew she couldn’t run anymore. She turned and glared defiantly at Hajin and his men.

"You must be Liu Shiyu. Come here," Hajin said, recognizing her at a glance.

Seeing her in person, Hajin’s eyes flickered with surprise. The girl was even prettier than he had imagined, especially her chest—it was enough to make a man want to commit a crime. A lustful gleam flashed deep in his eyes. After I kill Lin Kuang, I’ll have to get a taste of this woman. A top-grade prize like this is rare indeed.

"You bastards! Why are you trying to capture me?" the Little Witch yelled, deliberately raising her voice so Lin Kuang could hear everything clearly over the phone.

"Why? There’s no need for so many questions. We want to capture you, so we came to capture you. Now get over here, or I’ll shoot!" Hajin said coldly, aiming the dark muzzle of his gun directly at her.

At the sight, the Little Witch’s legs gave out and her delicate body swayed. She was just an ordinary girl, after all, and the situation terrified her.

Just then, Lin Kuang’s voice came through the phone. "Little Witch, go to them. Walk as slowly as you can to buy some time. I’ll be there as fast as I can!"

His tone was as cold as ice, and he pushed the car to its absolute limit.
