Chapter 190: Chapter 190 Intoxicating Night

By now, Lin Kuang had finished his business and quietly returned to the Liu Family home.

When he arrived, the clock had already ticked past midnight, nearing one in the morning, yet the lights in the main hall were still on.

Stopping the car, Lin Kuang stepped into the hall. As soon as he entered, he heard a faint noise from upstairs and immediately looked up. He saw the Witch on the stairs, just about to turn around. She had been waiting there for him for nearly half an hour. Liu Shilin had been waiting downstairs for him earlier, but the Witch, feeling too awkward to wait alongside her, had gone upstairs just before midnight and hidden on the staircase instead.

Seeing Lin Kuang return, the Witch let out a quiet sigh of relief. He was finally back safe and sound, so she could stop worrying. Just then, their gazes met in midair, and her face instantly turned red. She gave a small huff and walked toward her room, acting as if she hadn’t been waiting for him at all, but was merely returning from the restroom.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang couldn’t help but smile. A deep warmth welled up in his heart, a feeling he hadn’t experienced in a very long time. He truly enjoyed this sensation—the feeling of someone worrying about him, of someone caring for him. After all, everyone fears loneliness, and he was no exception.

Although the Witch hadn’t said a word, how could he not know she was worried about him? He wasn’t a fool, after all.

Watching the Witch’s retreating figure, Lin Kuang smiled again before walking over to the sofa.

Liu Shilin was curled up on the couch with the television still on. Clearly, the girl had gotten so tired from waiting for him that she had fallen asleep right there.

Crouching in front of her, Lin Kuang gazed at her serene, sleeping face, and the smile on his lips grew wider. He leaned in and kissed the corner of her lips. They were soft and gentle and carried a faint fragrance. The sensation was wonderful.

As if sensing something in her deep slumber, Liu Shilin’s long eyebrows twitched lightly before her eyes slowly fluttered open.

Her beautiful, bewildered eyes fixed on the face before her. Gradually, she understood what had happened. A blush crept onto her cheeks, a shyness that was indescribably cute. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"You’re back," Liu Shilin said with a smile, quickly sitting up on the sofa.

"Yeah. If you’re tired, you should get some proper sleep. Why wait up for me?" Lin Kuang said, his voice tinged with affection as he gently pinched her adorable nose.

"No, not really. I was just taking a nap," Liu Shilin said, blushing like a shy little girl. Her heart filled with an indescribable, sweet happiness, a feeling she adored.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang sat down beside her and gently pulled her delicate body into his arms. Holding her soft, gentle form felt incredible.

Liu Shilin kept her head lowered, too shy to look at him, but she still leaned her head into his embrace, enjoying the rare, warm feeling.

Lin Kuang said nothing, simply holding her quietly. Though neither of them spoke, the warmth between them only grew stronger. It was a beautiful sensation, especially for two people like them, who had always longed for it yet believed it unattainable.

As it neared one in the morning, Lin Kuang finally spoke. "Shilin, you should go to sleep. You have work tomorrow," he said with a smile, looking at her in his arms.

"Mmm," Liu Shilin replied softly. "You should get to sleep early too. It’s late."

With that, Liu Shilin, blushing, slipped out of his embrace. She felt a pang of reluctance at leaving its warmth.

Watching her blush, Lin Kuang called out softly, "Shilin."

"Hmm?"

She instinctively lifted her head, her gaze falling upon him.

Just then, Lin Kuang pulled her back into his arms and pressed his lips firmly against hers.

Liu Shilin’s delicate body trembled. She hadn’t expected the sudden attack and froze, stunned, her arms instinctively wrapping around his back. Although this wasn’t their first time, the indescribably wonderful sensation still made her heart pound.

His powerful and demanding kiss left her not knowing how to refuse. In fact, she found herself somewhat captivated by it, enjoying his assertiveness.

He was like a General on the battlefield, attacking relentlessly and giving her no chance to catch her breath.

Liu Shilin’s strength drained away, leaving her body limp in his arms.

Gradually, Lin Kuang seemed to be losing control. The two of them tumbled onto the sofa, but just as he was about to make his next move, Liu Shilin fiercely pinched his back.

The pinch brought his movements to a sudden halt.

"Shilin, what’s wrong?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile, looking at her alluring face.

"I... I... I’m not ready yet," Liu Shilin whispered, her voice filled with profound shyness.
