Chapter 170: Chapter 170 Can’t Help It

"When have I ever been unreasonable? I’m a very reasonable person, you know," Lin Kuang said, feeling frustrated.

"Hmph! You secretly kissed me several times! You call that reasonable?" Yang Ruoxi said, her face blushing with a hint of shyness.

"Uh, you’re talking about that? That doesn’t count. I was kissing you, not anyone else," Lin Kuang said with a mischievous smile.

"Anyway, you’re not a good person. You’re just a bad guy," Yang Ruoxi huffed.

"Ahem, Ruoxi, I’ve known you for so long, but I still don’t know what you do. Are you recuperating at home, or something?" Lin Kuang asked, changing the subject.

"You idiot. Of course I’m in school, but I’m about to graduate. I would never just stay around at home, bored," Yang Ruoxi said irritably.

"Oh, I see. I just assumed you stayed at home all day," Lin Kuang said, feeling a little awkward.

"Tsk, that’s what you think, not what I said," Yang Ruoxi retorted, leaving Lin Kuang speechless.

Arriving at Yang Ruoxi’s house, the two of them walked in side by side.

Seeing Lin Kuang, a barefoot Little Xinxin ran over. "Uncle-in-law, good morning!"

As she spoke, Little Xinxin stretched out her small arms, asking to be picked up.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang didn’t hesitate, scooping Little Xinxin into his arms with a smile. "Good girl, Xinxin. Have you missed me?" he asked, laughing as he gently pinched her cheek.

"I have! I missed having my uncle-in-law here to help me deal with my aunt. She always bullies me when you’re not around," Little Xinxin pouted, wearing an aggrieved expression.

"You little troublemaker, when have I ever bullied you? Tattling again," Yang Ruoxi said, rolling her eyes in exasperation.

"See? Uncle-in-law, look! Auntie is being mean to me again!" Little Xinxin whined, burying her face against Lin Kuang’s chest and looking very upset.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang gave Yang Ruoxi a playful smack on her rear before saying, "Look, your uncle-in-law is taking care of your aunt for you."

Lin Kuang said this with a grin, while Yang Ruoxi’s lovely face turned crimson. It was the first time a man had ever smacked her bottom!

"Hehe, Uncle-in-law is the best! That’s how you teach Auntie a lesson—spank her bottom!" Little Xinxin giggled, looking absolutely delighted.

Yang Ruoxi’s face flushed as she shot Lin Kuang a fierce glare, her eyes promising retribution. Then, she walked over to Little Xinxin and roughly pinched her adorable cheeks, much to the little girl’s dismay.

"Hmph, you little rascal! Just wait until he’s gone, I’ll show you how I deal with you!" Yang Ruoxi said grumpily before turning and heading upstairs.

"Hmph! Mean Auntie!" Little Xinxin huffed, sticking out her tongue.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang couldn’t help but laugh heartily. The little girl was simply too adorable and lovable.

"Alright, be a good girl now, Xinxin. Uncle-in-law is going to go treat your aunt’s illness. You stay down here and behave, okay?" Lin Kuang said with a smile, gently pinching her cute little nose.

"Okay, Xinxin will be very good," she said sweetly.

Lin Kuang nodded, placed Xinxin on the floor, and headed upstairs.

However, he was a little confused. He hadn’t seen Yang Ruotong today. Usually, she would be in the kitchen cooking at this hour, but today, that mature figure was nowhere to be found. He couldn’t make sense of it but decided not to dwell on it.

As Lin Kuang walked up the stairs, he happened to come face-to-face with Yang Ruotong, who was dressed in loungewear. She looked the same as always, her enchanting face as alluring as ever.

Seeing Lin Kuang, Yang Ruotong was startled for a moment before offering a faint, shy smile.

"You’re here, Lin Kuang," she said, her attractive face flushing.

"Yeah, good morning, Ruotong. You’re looking more beautiful every day," Lin Kuang said with a laugh, looking at the charming woman before him.

He didn’t know why, but seeing this woman made his heart flutter. Perhaps it was her maturity, the powerful allure of a sophisticated older woman that she exuded, which made him feel this way.

Hearing his words, Yang Ruotong’s face turned an even deeper shade of red, and her heart began to race uncontrollably.

"Nonsense... I’m not beautiful at all. I’m already past my prime," she said, blushing.

"How is that possible? Ruotong, you’re not even thirty yet. How could you be past your prime? Besides, you take such good care of yourself, you look like you’re in your twenties. You’re gorgeous," Lin Kuang insisted earnestly.

Hearing his compliments, Yang Ruotong felt a warmth spread through her heart. She shyly gave him a charming look, a single glance that conveyed a world of allure.

Lin Kuang was momentarily stunned. Yang Ruotong’s gaze was always so captivating; she could steal a man’s soul without him even realizing it.

Seeing him staring at her so intently, Yang Ruotong grew even shyer. She lowered her head, rendered speechless, her heart pounding wildly like a frantic little deer trapped in her chest.

Lin Kuang’s heart raced, and he found himself uncontrollably stepping forward to embrace her delicate body, one of his hands already starting to misbehave.

Yang Ruotong’s body trembled violently, her charming lips parting in shock, confusion, or some other overwhelming emotion.

At that moment, Lin Kuang lowered his head and dominantly captured her lips.

Her body shook violently as a feeling she hadn’t experienced in a long time blossomed within her. The wondrous sensation made her entire body tingle with a pleasant numbness.

After what felt like an eternity, they finally separated.

Yang Ruotong was breathing heavily, her rosy lips slightly parted. Her cheeks were flushed, and her silken, seductive eyes lingered on Lin Kuang, making her look utterly irresistible.

"I... I should go. I’ll go start cooking," she stammered, her face turning an even deeper shade of crimson. Snapping back to reality, her words came out in a flustered rush before she turned and scurried downstairs.
