Dugu Chen furrowed his brow, and seeing how serious she was, he began to doubt himself. He stood up and walked over to the bedroom’s bronze mirror, examining his reflection carefully.
Feng Xuxu saw his narcissistic behavior and his checking himself out in the mirror, the corners of her mouth silently split open, desperately holding back her laughter.
After a long while of not finding any wrinkles on his face in the mirror, he turned around to see the person on the bed already laughing to the point of tears, and he realized he had been played.
Dugu Chen hooked up a wicked smile, raised his eyebrows, and slowly walked towards the bedside with a voice full of ambiguity, "My wife, you look so beautiful."
Feng Xuxu stopped laughing with tears still dangling in her eyes, foolishly looking at Dugu Chen without understanding what he was getting at.
"I think so too."
"Heh heh heh..." He let out a string of lecherous chuckles, raising his brows and looking at her with ill-intent, his eyes occasionally sneaking glances at her bosom.
Feng Xuxu immediately felt awkward enough to want to find a hole to crawl into, grabbed the pillow next to her, and threw it at him, "Get lost, I’ve just given birth, and you can’t wait."
Dugu Chen caught the pillow, still moving towards her with slow steps. Shaking his head, "Tsk tsk, I didn’t think of anything else, it’s my wife who misunderstood."
"Then why are you laughing?" Knowing she had misunderstood, her face turned bright red, and anyone would misinterpret when seeing a sinister smile and staring eyes. She glared at him fiercely and snorted.
"My wife, I’m happy, and I want to laugh." Sitting on the bed, he gazed steadily at her, softly whispering in her ear, which caused Feng Xuxu to cover her face and bury it in his chest, refusing to look up.
The next day, Feng Xuxu awoke early and wanted to get out of bed, but was stopped by someone, and ended up staying in bed out of sheer boredom, calling Xiaobai out from the space.
"Xiaobai, could you pick some honey peaches for your sister to eat?"
Xiaobai rolled her eyes at her, shook her tiger head, then went back into the space and came out with a basket of honey peaches.
"Heehee, sister knew Xiaobai is the best." She reached out and stroked Xiaobai’s tiger head.
Xiaobai lay very tamely on Feng Xuxu’s leg, closing his tiger eyes and thoroughly enjoying the patting.
Dugu Chen entered the bedroom, face dark, and grabbed Xiaobai’s skin in one move, tossing him aside, glaring at him, "Go, play with the babies."
Xiaobai cast a mournful look at him and walked away with his tail between his legs, making his way to Xiaobao’s bedroom after turning a corner.
Feng Xuxu gave Dugu Chen an annoyed look, "Why so fierce?"
"It’s male." Seeing a small basket on the bed filled with succulent honey peaches, he moved forward, took one, and bit into it hard. The flesh was juicy and sweet, delicious, hundreds of times better than those outside.
Feng Xuxu’s mouth twitched wildly, realizing after all this time, the man was jealous of a male divine beast.
"Chen, how are my grandma and the others? And what about my big brother?" she asked the person beside her, eating the peach with small bites and tilting her head.
"Grandma and the others are fine; they are now at the hall entrance. Your big brother is okay too, and he’s on his way to Capital City. He should arrive in about three days." After finishing a peach in a few bites, he elegantly took out a handkerchief to wipe his mouth, and seeing some peach juice on his wife’s hands, he took her hand and meticulously wiped it off.
"That’s good." She let out a sigh of relief. It was a relief they were fine, or else it would have been her fault.
"Do you know who it was?"
She shook her head, "Not sure yet, but it won’t be long." Once that person wakes up, she will find out; even if they don’t talk, she’ll be able to figure it out. It’s just a matter of time.
"Hm, we can’t let them off." They had caused her to give birth prematurely, nearly sending her to have tea with King of Hell. Such people must not be tolerated.

The doors of the Xiu Residence were tightly shut, with Xiu Aotian and Xiu Bingxi keeping watch. Xiu Aotian was waiting for a message from the palace, while Xiu Bingxi was on the lookout for any movement from the Prince Mei Residence. Unfortunately, both sides were eerily quiet.

The study was dead quiet. Xiu Aotian sat in his chair, silently looking at the person on the ground. He then let out a long sigh and waved, "Stand up, I already know everything."
Xiu Bingxi looked up in surprise, eyes filled with disbelief as he gazed at his father seated in the chair.
"Heh, you thought you could leave the residence without your father knowing? Boy, learn a bit." Xiu Aotian looked at his son on the ground with satisfaction. At least, he had informed him after the deed was done.
"Father."
"Stand up, you did very well." Having maneuvered through a lifetime of power plays, if he couldn’t even handle this little affair, how could the vast Xiu Residence continue to stand?

Zhuisu glanced up and casually tossed over a thin piece of paper.
