Unlimited estates for rural beauty-Chapter 202 Collision of Two People in Beijing (7)
"Hmph, Dugu Chen, don’t forget this is Xuanyuan Mansion, not your Prince Mei Residence." She stared unyieldingly at Xiao Chen.
"As long as I wish, the entire Xuanyuan clan will cease to exist." He curved his lips into a smile as he spoke, but his eyes grew colder.
"Hmph, I’m waiting. As long as I’m still the Castle Young Master, this mansion is mine, and you won’t be coming and going as you please." Glancing at Peony Garden, she warned Dugu Chen.
"What, you all pretend I don’t exist, is that it? Treating me like air? If you’re going to fight, then leave my yard, so I don’t have to look at it and get annoyed." Her pale face tinged with dissatisfaction as she looked at the two, then turned to address Yingsu and Baihe standing to one side: "Pack up, we’re returning to the Feng Family village tomorrow." With a cold snort, she turned and entered the house, followed by a loud "bang" as the doors were firmly shut—clearly showing how angry Little Xuxu was.
Jueqing glared at Dugu Chen, and Dugu Chen glared back, both staring immovably at one another.
Yingsu and Baihe, on the verge of tears, looked at the two men—one their master, the other their young mistress’s young master. Exchanging glances, Yingsu and Baihe wondered whether to pack or not.
Mustering her courage, Yingsu stepped forward to ask: "Should we pack up the clothes or not?" She looked up timidly at the two, both furious.
What she got was a synchronized glare from both men, with Dugu Chen sneering, "What do you think?"
Jueqing, her chest heaving with anger, retorted: "Are you stupid? Don’t you know your young mistress is the Holy Maiden? What’s the point of going back?"
"Oh," Yingsu replied blankly, turning to Baihe; they looked at each other and decided unanimously to pretend it was all just a nightmare. Then, they hurried to their own rooms.
Back in her room, Feng Xuxu’s anger grew the more she thought about it. Deciding to sit down abruptly, she plucked a branch of red plum from a pot, stripped off its petals, and flung them at the folding screen. With several thuds followed by a rustling crash, the screen was shattered by the petals from Feng Xuxu’s hand.
Outside the room, the two men silently turned back, noting Little Xuxu’s very ugly expression. They realized she was not just playing and exchanged a look; both squeezed into the house at the same time. As one might imagine, they got stuck together, shoving each other until Dugu Chen managed to get in a step ahead. Jueqing glared at Dugu Chen and, shaking off his robe, finally entered the house.
Feng Xuxu looked at them with a cold laugh and said mockingly, "Oh, you didn’t fight?"
"Little Xuxu, how could I fight with your cousin? You’ve wronged me." Dugu Chen looked at Feng Xuxu pitifully, batting his charming eyes repeatedly as if to charm her.
Seeing Dugu Chen speak first, Jueqing, wishing she could just vomit blood then and there, suppressed her rage and said pleasingly to Feng Xuxu, "Cousin, how could I possibly fight with Prince Mei? After all, he’s a Prince, too high above to reach! Right, Prince Mei?" After speaking to Feng Xuxu, she turned and asked Dugu Chen with raised eyebrows.
Dugu Chen laughed bitterly, "What high status? Everyone is human, especially in front of Little Xuxu. How dare I claim to be superior? I’m just an admirer." He said to Jueqing with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes.
"Tsk tsk tsk, if the whole world knew that a cold-blooded, heartless murderer could say such words, there would probably be peace on earth," Jueqing said scornfully, her lips curling into a smirk.
"Are you really looking for death?" Dugu Chen clenched his fist, his body instantly filling with hostility.
\"What, did I strike a nerve? Did I touch on your sore spot?" Jueqing asked, almost gleefully.
