Unexpected Marriage With Mr. Leighton: Rebirth of the Villain-Chapter 321: REVENGE
The cold water did nothing to put out the fire within her, as she found her release.
River scratched Ranon’s back as her body was pinned against his and the cold wall of the bathroom. The shower was on, pouring water on their naked bodies.
Ranon was so wicked. He said that he was going to help River wash her hair, and he wouldn’t do anything, but it was not clear how he ended up inside her...
"I thought you said that you wouldn’t do anything..." River said breathlessly, as both of them calmed down.
"I didn’t. You were the one who initiated it," Ranon whispered against her earlobes.
"No way..." River protested, but her face turned red. Ranon was not wrong, though. It would be a waste not to do anything to him when he was so willing, but then Ranon had never turned her down.
At that very moment, they heard a knock on the door. It was a light knock, and they immediately knew who it was.
"She has been very clingy but still refuses to speak," River sighed. She flinched when Ranon pulled away from her.
Ranon pecked her lips; he knew the guilty feeling that River felt. She had told him everything that happened and the cause of their daughter’s refusal to speak.
River also had said the same code over and over again, but Ashlyn just stared at her. The little girl acted as if River were her mother, as though she could recognize River even when her appearance was completely different. Yet, she still didn’t want to say a word.
"Give her time; she will be alright." Ranon kissed her neck.
And then he went to wrap a towel around his hip and open the door to find that Ashlyn was puckering her lips. She dragged her stuffed bunny with her as she pounded her little fist against the door.
Ranon picked her up, but Ashlyn stretched out her arms toward the door. She knew River was inside, and she wanted to be with her, but Ranon took her away instead.
"No, she is taking a bath," Ranon said as he put Ashlyn on the bed, but she rolled down and rushed toward the door. But Ranon was faster. He caught her by her waist and carried her to bed again. "Stay here, love."
Ashlyn was upset, but this time, she stayed. She waited impatiently for River to finish with her bath. She bit her stuffed bunny, indicating that she was being impatient. Somehow, she had developed this habit; whenever she felt upset, she tended to bite on something.
"Don’t bite it," Ranon said. He approached his daughter. He had changed into a casual shirt and jeans.
He pulled the stuffed bunny from between Ashlyn’s teeth, but his little girl glared at him, annoyed.
"She will come out soon. You need to be patient." Ranon kissed Ashlyn’s chubby cheeks and cuddled her. She loved being cuddled like this, and this calmed her down slightly.
But Ashlyn pushed Ranon’s face away when she saw the door to the bathroom was open, and River walked out in a towel.
Ashlyn slid down from the bed and rushed toward her. She jumped up and down and stretched out her arms to be carried.
"Baby, I am still wet."
Ranon chuckled. "So, you are still wet?"
Hearing that, River glared at him. The innuendo was obvious. Even though it was not the same, the way River glared at Ranon reminded him of how Ashlyn also gave the same glaring look.
Thankfully, Ranon’s phone rang, and River had to entertain Ashlyn. She had to get dressed while Ashlyn sat next to her feet, waiting for her to finish.
"Who is that?" River asked as she returned with Ashlyn. She was wearing a cozy shirt and short pants, carrying Ashlyn on her hips. "What is it?"
River could sense there was something not right when Ranon hung up the phone, because his cheerful smile had vanished. Whatever news he received, it couldn’t be good.
"Arlo got Arthur and Aubrey," Ranon said.
River paused for a moment to discern the news. "What do you mean?"
Ranon explained to her what had happened: Rye had called him to inform him that Arthur was ambushed while taking Aubrey to the airport. Aubrey had a flight to Goscht Country to stay with her maternal family.
However, Arlo managed to ambush Arthur and Aubrey on the way to the airport. Since everything had been very quiet, they weren’t taking good measures. They lowered their guard, which was a big mistake.
"Rye managed to save Bryer, but Arlo took Arthur and his daughter."
River had mixed feelings about it...

"I would have never thought that you would hide here," Arthur said, spitting a mouthful of blood, as he glared menacingly at Arlo.
Arthur was tied to a bolted table, while Aubrey was in front of him. She was crying, but she couldn’t say anything coherent when a tape was wrapped around her mouth.
River had a new lead on Arlo’s whereabouts that she received from Lyle about a month ago, but it turned out to be incorrect.
As it turned out, Arlo used the Lozen family’s house’s bunker as his hideout. Who would have thought to look for them here?
Arthur didn’t want to use the Lozen family’s house because this place reminded him of Elise. Every corner of this place was designed according to her taste.
Arlo hobbled across the room while Michael was crouching down behind Aubrey, who curled her body on the ground. Her eyes were puffy.
"It is so bad that we have to meet under these circumstances." Arlo took his gun from the table and then pointed it at Aubrey, which made Arthur roar angrily.
"You are a monster! Put that down! Do you really want to kill the mother of your child?!" Arthur tried to free himself, but he couldn’t. The rope was too tight.
At the door, he saw Gayle Lennox. He leaned his body against the door frame, watching them with an uninterested look on his face, as if the show was too boring for his taste.
"Kill the mother of my child? What about her, who wanted to kill the father of her child?" Arlo laughed maniacally. He tilted his head as his eyes fixed on Aubrey. "The only thing that I regret the most in life is meeting you."
"I can say the same thing to you," Arthur said viciously.
This answer made Arlo shift his attention toward Arthur. He looked at the man closely as if he were seeing him for the first time.
"Let’s wrap this up quickly. We need to move to the next plan. You waste our time here," Gayle said, yawning.
He still joined them because it was fun to taunt Ranon. He was still holding a grudge against Ranon for leaving the organization a long time ago. Gayle did this solely for his own satisfaction because it annoyed him.
Arlo threw a nasty look at Gayle. He didn’t like to be ordered around, but he needed him. Without him, he and Michael would have died by now. Ranon’s men would have easily found them.
"Make her watch this," Arlo said to Michael. He shifted the direction of his gun toward Arthur this time and pressed the cold barrel against Arthur’s head.
Michael grabbed Aubrey’s hair and made her watch what Arlo was going to do. He didn’t like her, but he tolerated her because of his nephew, but this bitch was the one who had betrayed them.
There was no mercy for it.
"Close your eyes, Aubrey! Close your eyes!" Arthur shouted; he didn’t want her to see him like this.
However, how could Aubrey avert her eyes from her father?
Yet, just as Arlo was about to pull the trigger, he changed his mind. He put down the gun, allowing Aubrey and Arthur to breathe a sigh of relief.
Aubrey’s face had turned very red. She cried her heart out, but there was no word that she could say when the tape covered her mouth.
The tape was wrapped around the back of her head a few times; it was so painful, but at this moment, she couldn’t feel any pain.
Aubrey wanted to beg Arlo not to do it. When she thought he had changed his mind and would let them live, he took a plastic bag and, without warning, wrapped it around Arthur’s head.
Arlo tightened it and didn’t give Arthur a chance to breathe. He suffocated Arthur in the most horrific way possible.
Arthur opened his mouth out of instinct, trying to get air to breathe, but unfortunately, the more he tried, the more panicked he became, and this tormented him even more.
His body thrashed violently, trying to survive, but there was nothing he could do. His eyes widened as the sound of his breathing turned into a groan.
It didn’t take long for his body to give in.
And in the time that felt like forever, Arthur’s body stopped struggling. He gave one last jerk before his body limped lifelessly.
Aubrey watched how her father’s eyes and mouth opened widely when Arlo pulled out the plastic bag from his head.
Arthur was dead, and she would be next.
She screamed at the top of her lungs, shaking her head, trying to beg Arlo when he walked toward her with the same plastic bag that he used to kill her father.
Meanwhile, Michael and Gayle watched everything unfold emotionlessly, as Arlo wrapped the plastic bag around Aubrey’s head...
