Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1271: CEO Kingston, This Is a Misunderstanding
Second floor study.
William hurriedly emerged with his men and ran into Justin Kingston and his group on the staircase.
"CEO Kingston!"
William was intimidated by his presence, as each of his subordinates carried firearms, clearly marking them as his elite forces, reputed to be capable of defeating a hundred, all highly skilled.
William was about to explain when Mia Lane asked, "Where’s Trevor?" She was eagerly wanting to see her brother.
The middle-aged man swallowed and confessed, "On the third floor."
Justin Kingston, holding his wife’s hand, led his subordinates grandly upstairs.
At this time, Demi, who went upstairs a step earlier, had already knocked on that door.
The one who opened the door was Trevor; he was appropriately dressed, whereas Janelle Mills was still sitting on the bed. Demi’s gaze swept over Trevor’s shoulder and immediately saw the scene inside.
"Dad..." Demi quickly collected herself and said to Trevor, "My dad agreed to let you leave, the wedding is canceled, the cooperation continues."
She believed that her efforts were partly responsible for this outcome.
Just then, hurried footsteps echoed up the stairs. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Trevor raised his eyes, and Demi turned hers, both seeing many people arriving at the top of the stairs!
"Brother!"
Mia Lane saw he was safe and quickened her steps, relieved.
"Stella." Trevor was delighted; they really came, "CEO Kingston."
"Brother." Seeing him safe, Justin Kingston felt the weight lifted from his heart, the ever-present frown relaxed, and his perpetually icy expression softened.
Is this the legendary Justin Kingston?
Demi’s gaze landed on the man’s face; she sidled to the side, intimidated by his formidable aura.
Justin Kingston and Mia Lane stopped in front of Trevor. They immediately noticed the girl sitting on the big bed in the room, both slightly startled, their gaze returning to Trevor’s face.
Trevor glanced back, then stepped out and closed the door, giving Janelle Mills enough time to compose herself and change clothes.
What’s going on??
Janelle Mills felt a bit dazed!
Did they come over so quickly??
Won’t there be any misunderstandings??
She quickly pulled off the covers, slipped on her slippers, grabbed her suitcase and entered the bathroom, hurriedly washing up and changing clothes... her mind completely blank!
Those people are Trevor’s sister and brother-in-law!
Half an hour later —
On the second floor, in some large meeting room, Justin Kingston, Mia Lane, Trevor, and William were seated around a coffee table.
Mid-17th-century interior decor, with a vintage embroidered carpet and authentic paintings on the walls, the atmosphere was solemn and somber.
After Filipino maids discreetly brought snacks and tea, they left the room.
Outside stood Justin Kingston’s elite forces, alongside some of William’s henchmen.
The atmosphere was, of course, tense and confrontational.
Despite this being William’s domain, Justin Kingston’s subordinates had the upper hand in terms of imposing presence.
Justin Kingston, in a black tailored suit, sat on the sofa, his gaze like a knife, directly staring at William.
He did not forgive the middle-aged man across from him for Trevor’s well-being.
And William, suddenly sober, avoided eye contact, organizing his words internally, acutely aware of his mistakes.
Then with a face full of forced smiles, he began, "Misunderstanding, misunderstanding, CEO Kingston, I didn’t expect you to come over. Sorry for wasting your precious time."
"If I didn’t come, what would have happened here today?" Justin Kingston’s eyes flashed coldly, his voice deep, "Mr. William, your behavior is truly childish."
Hearing this, William felt a bit humiliated, "I realized, even if you didn’t come, I would have let Mr. Trevor leave today."
Trevor believed these words because Demi told him so.
Now, Janelle Mills, having finished washing up, stood in front of the bed looking at this large bed, unable to recall if he slept there last night.
Why was there no impression at all?
Could it be that she slept too deeply??
Forget it, not thinking about it, the game is over.
She exited the bedroom; with no William’s henchmen standing at the door, the game was indeed over, and she gloomily walked downstairs.
