Going upstairs, getting out of the elevator, Jocelyn walked toward the dean’s office.
On the way, her mind, skilled at crafting long novels, was constantly working. How should she start when she sees him later?
He would certainly be puzzled by her presence, might even ask her why she showed up!
As she got closer, she still hadn’t figured it out. Oh well! She’ll take it one step at a time!
Just as Jocelyn reached the office door, Ian Shelby happened to come out, and the two almost collided in the doorway.
Ian quickly stopped in his tracks, and Jocelyn halted just in time!
Ian looked at her unexpectedly, there was roughly... two fist-lengths of space between them.
Jocelyn’s breath caught, her tiptoes hadn’t yet made contact with the ground, as she stared at his well-shaped chest for quite a while.
It seemed like, probably, there were muscles in there?
Ian was naturally tall, and although Jocelyn was almost one-seventy meters, standing like this, the adorable height difference was evident.
He was a head taller than she.
Realizing this, Jocelyn quickly leaned her back against the door, immediately making way for him!
Thinking, he probably needs to get busy!
But even after the path was cleared, Ian showed no inkling of wanting to leave.
He thoughtfully faced her, resting one hand against the door next to her ear.
This intimate gesture inexplicably disrupted the girl’s breathing, even making her heartbeat speed up.
Ian believed she had certainly come today because she had something to discuss.
Just as Ian was about to ask her, Jocelyn impulsively raised her eyes and asked, "Dr. Shelby, do you have a slight liking for me?!"
She spoke quickly, her cheeks slightly flushed, but Ian still heard her clearly!
The girl’s beautiful large eyes collided with the man’s deep gaze, seeing nothing but calmness in them.
Yet Ian’s heart was shocked; what did she just say?
Could it be... she liked him?
Seeing no answer for a long time, Jocelyn felt very awkward, "Sorry, for disturbing you." She withdrew her gaze and turned to leave.
Ian, without panic, grasped her by the arm, pulling her closer to the door.
Jocelyn looked up at him again.
Ian’s fingers gently lifted her chin as he kissed her lips without hesitation.
Jocelyn’s eyes widened! Her body stiffened! Her mind went blank! The taste that belonged only to him immediately spread between her lips and teeth!
Ian quickly released her, a slight curve on his lips, staring into the girl’s flustered eyes, "I’m used to answering with actions."
Not far away, Vera Ford stood there holding medical records, her teeth clenched tightly, her whole body stiffened, as the scene just now unfolded completely in her sight, including that kiss!
"Wait for me in the office first, we’ll have lunch together in a bit." Ian squeezed her shoulder then turned to leave.
As for Jocelyn, she hadn’t recovered yet, like a wooden doll, her mind was completely dazed!
Did he really kiss her??
She slowly raised her fingers, lightly touching her own lips.
It seemed like there was still the lingering warmth of his lips on them, oh my god, he just kissed her!
He said he used actions to answer!
So, Dr. Shelby likes her too!!
Just as Jocelyn finally breathed a sigh of relief, feeling particularly joyous, Vera angrily came over.
At the door, the two girls met.

Jocelyn caught the hint of jealousy in her words and knew Vera liked Dr. Shelby.

Jocelyn replied with a smile, retorting against her, "It was Dr. Shelby who initiated kissing me, if anyone should be embarrassed, it should be him!"
"You..." Vera was beside herself with rage, watching Jocelyn walk into the office, wishing she could strangle her!
