Vera Ford has been in Riventhal for so long, and spent such a long time with Ian; he’s always been cold and indifferent to people, except for Mia Lane.

"How’s the house hunting going?" Ian asked her as the car sped along halfway.

Hearing this, the warmth in Vera’s heart cooled instantly. Is this equal treatment? No special exception at all?

Though Vera didn’t show it, she felt rather uncomfortable inside.

Mia has been here all afternoon, helping the doctors bathe Ethan, washing his hair, and changing him into clean clothes.

Ethan’s eyes had been fixed on her for a full three hours, from the moment Mia entered, continually watching her, with her as the sole focus of his gaze.
