Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 581 - 276. Divine Descendant and Royal Authority_3
Unless the White Mist Serpent has the ability to break the "Rule."
Perhaps before, Alka might have thought it had this ability, but now that Alka had become a Divine Descendant and gained the Royal Authority of the Dream Realm, he knew. The Guardian Spirit Serpent is still just a king, not truly aligned with the gods, he realized.
However, Alka was still puzzled. "Why did he want me to get rid of Mirmi?" he wondered.
The only thing I know for sure is that mist-like creatures can’t seem to kill each other. Even though the White Mist Serpent is much stronger than Mirmi, it still can’t do anything to him. The reason I could eliminate Mirmi is because of my ’Hunter’ identity in the Dream Realm.
The changes brought by today’s gains were too many, leaving Alka with an abundance of information to process. I need enough time to sort through this information and understand the changes it brings. The most important aspects are the power and authority from being a ’Divine Descendant’ and possessing ’Royal Authority.’ I can already feel how powerful these changes are. But I currently lack the means to wield this power and need sufficient time to study it. Fortunately, we’ve left the Broken Island Chain and embarked on an aimless sea voyage. I have plenty of time to adapt and research. But first, I need to return to the real world and wake up. Just now, I felt someone calling me from outside.
He closed his eyes.
The giant Dream Bubble instantly disappeared, but it merely lingered within Alka’s soul, no longer shattering as it used to.
And Alka vanished from where he stood.
When Alka opened his eyes, he saw the ceiling of his room.
Turning his head, he saw Chadite and Lucilia on the chairs beside him; the two seemed to be reading.
He got out of bed.
"You’re awake. How do you feel?"
"I just took a nap, that’s all," Alka said, somewhat perplexed by their scrutiny.
Chadite and Lucilia just stared straight at him.
"Did you get more handsome?" Lucilia asked directly.
Chadite’s face flushed slightly as she came over for a closer look. "Your skin became whiter... and smoother?" she asked, her voice filled with surprise. She reached out and touched Alka’s arm. The blush faded, and her eyes, now full of curiosity, fixed on Alka. "How did you do it?"
"Did you give yourself a makeover in your dream?" Lucilia also looked at Alka’s changes, asking in astonishment.
In their eyes, Alka’s transformation seemed minor at first glance, but upon closer inspection, it was as if heaven and earth had been overturned. His facial features had undergone subtle adjustments, making him look much more attractive than before. Previously, Alka couldn’t have been called handsome, though he was better than average—easy on the eyes, simply put. But now, Alka could genuinely be described as handsome. His skin was fair and glowing, his features delicate and defined, and even his hair had become smooth and shiny. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"How did you do it?"
For the two women, their curiosity wasn’t about Alka becoming handsome, but rather *how* he had become handsome. The method he used intrigued them immensely. The change in his skin was especially noticeable; this was the transformation they cared about most, and they desperately hoped to achieve the same for themselves.
Alka chuckled and shook his head, patting them both. "Alright, this method isn’t something you can use yet. I’ll explain in detail when there’s an opportunity. Let’s go out first."
With that, he led them out of his room.
The sky was still dark, with only the celestial bodies shining far brighter than usual.
"Wow!"
Jason, who was just coming upstairs, bumped into Alka as he came out. Seeing Alka’s transformation, Jason couldn’t help but exclaim. Unable to resist, he came over to pinch the muscles on Alka’s arm, then patted his abdomen. He even compared their heights.
"Damn, how did you get so tall?" Jason asked, looking at Alka, who was now half a head taller than him.
Alka’s physique now reached at least 1.9 meters, a full 10 centimeters taller than before. Jason, who had been about the same height, now found Alka towering over him, which felt excessive.
"Did you take some kind of potion?" Jason started prodding and pinching Alka’s body, trying to figure out how he had changed.
Alka slapped his hand away and said irritably, "Shorty, move aside."
"Huh?" Hearing this nickname, Jason’s eyes widened. Standing close to 1.8 meters, it was the first time anyone had called him that. Even Pororo, with his massive build, had never called him such a thing. After all, that was just a difference in race.
"Buji, buji buji," the Crystal Dragon, Ulu Liwus, said as she flew down from her perch on the sterncastle and circled Alka.
"Possessed the blood of gods? What does that mean? ... Oh, oh, I see." Jason conversed with Ulu Liwus, nodding in understanding and occasionally turning to look at Alka.
From Jason’s responses, Alka knew the Crystal Dragon had noticed his changes. It seems this Crystal Dragon’s bloodline and race aren’t ordinary at all, Alka mused.
"You grew, so I’ll have changes too?" Jason asked Ulu Liwus. "That’s good then."
After listening to the Crystal Dragon, Jason turned to Alka with a smile. "Don’t be too cocky. Just you wait until I get bigger!"
Seeing Jason’s smug expression, Alka smiled and suddenly asked, "Ulu Liwus, how long will it take you to grow up?"
"Buji!"
"What? Anywhere from seventy to ninety years?" Jason exclaimed, his eyes wide with surprise. That wasn’t what he had expected.
The Crystal Dragon showed a human-like expression, shaking her head helplessly as if to say there wasn’t much she could do. She wants to grow quickly too, but what can be done?
Seeing Jason’s dejected face, Alka patted his shoulder. "Just kidding, don’t be discouraged. She only needs that long to become an adult. Perhaps it won’t take that long for her to reach her juvenile and adolescent stages."
Some of the odd pieces of information I acquired from the fragments included descriptions of the Giant Dragon race’s ages, Alka recalled. However, it seems Crystal Dragons mature even faster than ordinary Giant Dragons. I had thought the Crystal Dragon would say two or three hundred years. It turned out she wouldn’t even need a hundred. For a normal lifespan, this might seem long, but for a creature like a Giant Dragon, this is already very short.
"Buji," Ulu Liwus chirped.
"You’re not just making an excuse to eat more, are you?" Jason asked skeptically.
"Buji buji!"
It looks like she can grow faster by eating, Alka thought. And judging by Jason’s expression, it must be precious crystal minerals, without a doubt.
