The days have flown by so quickly, and in the blink of an eye, it’s already June.
Nuonuo and Little Treasure are going to take their elementary school graduation exam in mid-June, while Dabao has smoothly graduated from university, completing the research project with his mentor. On Children’s Day, Dabao finally moved back home with his luggage.
With half a month left until the graduation exam, Nuonuo is especially nervous. Le Tong set aside her curiosity and tasted a piece of Dongpo pork.
"Brother, your cooking is delicious, just as good as Mommy’s!"
Nuonuo’s compliment was exactly what Le Tong wanted to say.
Ji Rui, standing by, also nodded in agreement.
"Dabao, it seems you’ve truly inherited your mom’s cooking skills."
Le Tong mischievously glanced at Ji Rui, "I’m really glad Dabao isn’t like you, who even manages to mess up a bowl of noodles."
Ji Rui never really minded this flaw of his and contentedly chewed on another piece of fish, savoring every bite.
"That’s my blessing; even if I can’t cook, I can always enjoy delicious meals."
Looking at Dabao, he continued, "Of course, any girl who marries our Dabao in the future will be lucky too."
Before Dabao could say anything, Nuonuo coughed awkwardly, "If I follow Dad in being terrible at cooking, does that mean I’ll ruin someone’s life in the future?"
The whole family’s gaze turned to Nuonuo in unison.

"Exactly, even if your mommy can’t cook, I still feel very happy!" Ji Rui’s words were also sincere.

Le Tong and Dabao looked up at each other simultaneously.
The next day, Dabao and the driver took Nuonuo Xiaobao to the exam location. The siblings were in stark contrast; one was nervously anxious, while the other was as carefree as if on a park outing.
Entering the school gate, Dabao hugged Nuonuo and kissed her forehead.

Originally very nervous, Nuonuo inexplicably relaxed after hearing her brother’s words, flashed him a sweet smile, and pushed him away to stride with Little Treasure into the school gate.

Le Tong’s tone was calm. Having weathered many storms, concealing emotions comes easily to her.
Both in family and company matters, her son had shared a considerable amount of responsibility over the years, and if he wanted to be capricious this once, she couldn’t find any reason not to support him.
Dabao lifted his head, with deep eyes that seemed to hold much yet nothing, quietly looking into Le Tong’s eyes before speaking calmly, "Mom, you know my reason for doing this."
Le Tong was slightly caught off guard, but quickly understood.
"Alright, since you have decided, your dad and I will unconditionally support you."
She said while pulling her son, who towered over her by a full head, tightly into her embrace.
Ji Rui listened to everything the mother and son said without missing a word. Although he understood each word, he couldn’t grasp the meaning behind them.
Feeling lost in the fog, Ji Rui looked perplexedly at the tightly embracing mother and son, frowning slightly, "Son, can you clearly tell Dad why you’re doing this?"
Le Tong patted Dabao’s back and turned to the slow-witted President Ji, "Dummy, our son is doing it for someone he likes!"
