Treasure Hunt: Tycoon's Priceless Runaway Wife-Chapter 607 - 605 "Little Treasure’s ’Just Desserts’ (Third Update)
Little Treasure didn’t pay attention to his mom, who was overjoyed, or his brother, who was still sulking. Instead, he reached out and tugged at Nuonuo’s braid, calling out again, "Sister!"
Whether Little Treasure was too forceful or the rubber band in Nuonuo’s braid was too loose, one of Nuonuo’s braids came undone with a tug.
Nuonuo had curly hair and never liked having it loose. Seeing her hair fall apart, she grabbed the strands with her chubby hands and called out to Le Tong, "Mommy..."
Le Tong was about to put down Little Treasure to help Nuonuo when Da Bao, who was sitting on the couch absent-mindedly switching TV channels, tossed the remote aside and patted the seat next to him, "Nuonuo, come over! Brother will help you!"
Usually, Da Bao, being her big brother, often helped Nuonuo with tasks like brushing her hair and braiding it.
"Oh..."
Hearing her brother’s call, Nuonuo obediently ran over, holding down her fluffy curls with one hand. Her slightly chubby body struggled to climb onto the couch like a little round ball. Da Bao, who was originally sulking, couldn’t help but smile, bending down to lift her round little bottom and boost her onto the couch.
"Little chubby girl..." Da Bao teased with a grin, his dark eyes full of mirth.
Once the little chubby girl settled in, she pouted in dissatisfaction, "Brother, Nuonuo is not chubby!"
Da Bao laughed, pinching her chubby little cheek, "Mm, Nuonuo is not chubby, it’s all meat."
Nuonuo tilted her head, pondering for a moment, then nodded in agreement, "Right, Nuonuo is meat, not chubby!"
Obviously, the kind little Nuonuo was tricked by her brother. She didn’t realize that "meaty" and "chubby" basically mean the same thing.
Da Bao couldn’t help but burst into laughter, his previously gloomy mood lifted quite a bit. He leaned in to give her chubby cheek – no, her "little meaty cheek" – a sincere kiss, praising, "Nuonuo, you are so cute!"
He reached under the coffee table drawer for a comb and hair ties, patting his thigh, "Nuonuo, sit here!"
The little chubby girl obediently crawled over, sitting on Da Bao’s lap with her back to him. Her short little legs dangled by Da Bao’s feet, swaying contentedly.
Da Bao skillfully untied the other braid and started brushing through her curly hair.
"Nuonuo, what hairstyle do you want? The two braids again?"
Don’t underestimate Da Bao just because he’s a boy. His hairstyling skills could rival those of Le Tong, the mom.
Of course, it’s not an innate skill but because he genuinely adored Nuonuo, personally taking care of many things for her. Since her hair grew long, he diligently learned to help style it. Now, he knew more hairstyles than both Aunt Wang and Aunt Guan, so Nuonuo preferred him with her hair. After all, girls have the instinct to love beauty.
"Brother, Nuonuo wants to be a little princess."
Nuonuo assigned the task to Da Bao, then happily switched the TV to the children’s channel, not at all worried that her brother might mess up her hair.
Smart and skilled Da Bao naturally wouldn’t be easily stumped. He picked two small sections of hair from either side of Nuonuo’s head, braided them, and circled them around the top of her head. Then he took a princess tiara from the drawer and put it on her.
"All done, my lovely little princess!"
The beautiful little curly-haired princess turned her head and kissed Da Bao’s cheek, narrowing her eyes and sweetly saying, "Thank you, brother!"
After that, she didn’t rush to leave; instead, she scooted back, nestling comfortably in Da Bao’s embrace, watching the TV screen intently with her sparkling eyes.
When she saw the cat on the TV being mischievously chased by the mouse, she giggled.
Though Da Bao was already uninterested in the Tom and Jerry cartoon, holding the little girl giggling wildly in his arms, he suddenly found himself keenly watching the classic cartoon he hadn’t seen in who knows how long.
Seeing the clumsy cat being tricked by the little mouse, he smiled, laughing along joyfully with the little girl.
Meanwhile, Le Tong was still immersed in the joy of her little son speaking, forgetting to change out of her work suit. She sat cross-legged on the carpet, playing with Little Treasure, trying to make him talk.
However, Little Baby seemed to have lost interest in speaking, instead fascinated by the bow at Le Tong’s collar. Twisting his body, he used his little hands to tug at the bow, as if studying its structure or trying to pull it apart.
After tugging for a while with no change in the bow, he decided to lean forward, opening his mouth to bite it.
"Little Treasure, the clothes are dirty, don’t bite!" Le Tong tried to pry him off.
Nuonuo had always been quiet and well-behaved, never trying to taste things with her mouth. But Little Treasure was different; he would open his mouth and bite the wheels of his favorite toy car and even put his favorite blocks in his mouth to chew on. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Probably because of this persistent habit of tasting things he was interested in, Little Treasure completely ignored Le Tong’s words. He bit the bow and tugged harder, showing no intention of letting go.
Le Tong didn’t dare to use force to pull Little Treasure away, so she asked Da Bao, who was watching TV while holding Nuonuo, for help, "Da Bao, quickly pull Little Treasure away."
Da Bao glanced at Little Treasure and continued watching his TV, unmoved.
Le Tong found it strange. What was this boy watching that was so captivating that he would ignore his little brother? This was very unlike Da Bao, who usually doted on his siblings!
"Da Bao... Little Treasure bit mommy..." Le Tong resorted to a trick, "Ow, it hurts! It hurts!"
This trick worked perfectly.
In the blink of an eye, the previously indifferent and aloof Da Bao quickly set Nuonuo onto the sofa and walked over. Wrapping one arm around Little Treasure’s waist and pinching Little Treasure’s chin with the other, he sternly said to Little Treasure, "Little Treasure, let go of mommy, or brother will spank you!"
Little Treasure looked at Da Bao, blinking a few times as if he didn’t understand his words. He continued biting the bow, his chubby hands wrapping around Le Tong’s neck, his little face pressed tightly against hers.
Little Treasure’s defiant behavior reignited the smoldering fire within Da Bao. Although he’d never been rough with Little Treasure, his anger flared up.
Even though Da Bao was more mature than kids his age, he was still just a child.
With his temper rising, Da Bao lifted his hand and gave Little Treasure’s little bottom a couple of light smacks.
