"My granddaughter is missing and you want her to continue with the surgery, this just proves how much of a monster you are." Tao Hui said angrily to Fu Mingze. After arguing with his daughter, he knew she had already made up her mind to do the surgery but as soon as he heard about Tao Mei’s kidnapping, he immediately came back to the hospital.

Tao Hui looked at his daughter who had just been quiet. It was as if she was in a daze and the only thing that could bring her out of it was the return of her daughter.

Fu Mingze looked at Tao Luqi and then at Tao Hui before saying "I have everyone looking for her, it’s impossible for me not to find her before the end of today."

"What if it becomes too late?" Tao Hui asked. He walked to his daughter and grabbed her hand saying "Let’s go. Let’s find Tao Mei and then leave this country."

Tao Luqi did not say anything and allowed her father to drag her hand to the door, he was about to drag her out of the door when Tao Luqi suddenly removed her hand from his hold.

"If I leave then Fu Liang..." Tao Luqi suddenly spoke out.

"Fu Liang isn’t your son. Will you stay here to save another woman’s child while your child must be somewhere cold and terrified? Do you truly want to risk it?"

"Fu Liang will die without you." Fu Mingze softly said. He looked at Tao Luqi and said "Trust me to save Tao Mei, to save our daughter, but if you leave right now, Fu Liang won’t survive the night."

Fresh tears left Tao Luqi’s eyes as she looked at Fu Mingze and she came to a realization that she couldn’t allow one of her children to die, she would never be able to live with herself.

Tao Luqi cleaned her tears and walked closer to Fu Mingze "Do you promise that I will see my daughter as soon as I wake up?"

"I promise." Fu Mingze said without any hesitation.

"And I believe you." Tao Luqi said with a smile.

Fu Mingze let out a sigh of relief and pulled her into a hug saying "Thank you."

Immediately after Fu Liang and Tao Luqi entered the surgery room, Fu Mingze received a message from Xia Lian.

After reading the message, Fu Mingze turned to Tao Hui who was also there to see his daughter entering the operation room.

"Is Tao Luqi really your daughter?" Fu Mingze suddenly asked.

"What?"

"I did a DNA test on Tao Luqi and Fu Liang and it came back positive. They are both mother and son and that means that Tao Luqi is Yang Meiyi." Fu Mingze said.

"Have your desire to turn my daughter into your dead wife made you lose your mind?" Tao Hui asked angrily.

Fu Mingze frowned when he saw the genuine confusion in Tao Hui’s face and said "Your daughter, can I see a photo of her when she was young?"

Tao Hui looked at Fu Mingze silently for a moment before bringing out his wallet from his pocket. He brought out a picture of a young girl holding a big teddy bear with a smile.

After looking at the picture with a smile, he then handed it to Fu Mingze.

Fu Mingze looked at the picture and was confused because the girl he was looking at looked exactly like Yang Meiyi when she was young. But how is this possible? Does Yang Meiyi have a twin sister or do they just look alike?

"Are you done looking? Do you expect me to believe that the DNA test between Tao Luqi and Fu Liang showed that they are mother and son, that is impossible."

"Who is Tao Luqi’s mother?" Fu Mingze asked with a frown.

"It’s....." Tao Hui’s words were interrupted by Fu Mingze’s ringing phone, he sighed and said "Answer it."

Fu Mingze looked at his phone and saw that it was Bai Jian calling him "Give me a minute." He said to Tao Hui before answering the call.

"I know who changed the test result." Bai Jian said immediately Fu Mingze answered the call.

"Who did it?"

"Nie Yujie. Gu Zhen’s wife is the one who has tampered with the DNA test. However, what I don’t get is how did she even know about the DNA test and how does it even concern her?"

"I will call you back." Fu Mingze said and ended the call.

He then called Xia Lian and as soon as the call went through he said "Don’t do anything yet."

"Nothing at all?" Xia Lian asked. He was truly confused by his master order.

"Keep watch of them but don’t take any action, I will call you back in the next fifteen minutes so till then, hold on."

Xia Lian sighed softly before saying "Yes sir."

"What is happening?" Tao Hui finally asked.

"I’m not too sure myself. Look after them and call me when they get out of surgery."

"Do you know where Tao Mei is?" Tao Hui asked anxiously.

"I made a promise to Tao Luqi that she will see her daughter when she wakes up and now, I’m going to go fulfill that promise."

"Do you love my daughter? Do you truly not see her as Yang Meiyi’s replacement?" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"Whatever name she bears, I will always love her. I love her for who she is and I do not see her as anyone’s replacement."

"You are still so convinced that she is Yang Meiyi."

"I did a DNA test, Tao Hui. Maybe you should do one as well." Fu Mingze said and left before Tao Hui could even give him a reply.

"What do you want Fu Mingze,? I’m busy." Gu Zhen said as he sat opposite Fu Mingze in a cafe.

"Where is Nie Yujie?"

Gu Zhen frowns before asking "Since when did the whereabouts of my wife became your concern?"

"Come to think of it, your wife where about was also my question when my wife went missing four years ago. And now my daughter is missing and my guts tell me that your wife is also a part of this, so I will ask again Gu Zhen, where is your damn wife?"
