Transmigrated with my corruption system-Chapter 44: Loot
Silence lingered for a moment before it was suddenly broken as cheers swept across the sea of youths.
The fear that had once been inscribed on their faces washed away and was replaced with unquenchable excitement.
To think that for a moment they had been scared by the possibility of death.
"I... still can’t believe it," one figure muttered as murmurs swept across the dungeon.
"I must be dreaming... this can’t be real," another girl muttered, her brows furrowing.
"Hmm, you’re right. Let me pinch your nipples so we can both wake up."
"Argh, stay away from me, pervert. The young lord’s brilliance is too big to be contained in my dreams."
"This... could this be the legendary once-in-a-thousand-years talent? It’s too absurd... it must be preserved. Young lord... for the sake of all humanity, please brand me with your seed. I want to have your babies."
Another girl suddenly shrieked, already lost in her fantasies.
Even if they only acquired half the talent the figure had just displayed, then the future would be filled with endless possibilities.
"No... choose me instead!"
"This battle... I doubt I’ll live to see another like this."
"Young lord, please let me follow behind you. I promise I won’t lick your toes."
"Hmm, still creepy as ever..."
"No, I promise... I’ve changed."
At another dungeon tunnel, as the cheers grew overwhelming, a youth clad in a simple robe exhaled softly, a wry smile hanging across his face.
"Unpredictable. Truly unpredictable."
Having watched the entire battle, Kaiden had analysed every angle. Yet despite how long he had observed the young lord, he couldn’t anticipate his next moves.
In essence, they had seemed simple.
But to a more refined gaze, there was more than met the eye. It seemed his ability had limits, he thought to himself. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
But not everything had been for naught.
With his observation, he had noticed something most, if not all, had missed.
When the young lord clashed with the Sanguine Blood Wolf initially, he had been surprised. He tanked damage, yet repeated the same moves.
Even basic warriors moved with some form of plan. If he didn’t know better, he would have thought the young lord had a death wish, just as many had.
But in that moment, he had seen it.
The young lord had an ability almost similar to his. It was the small details at first, until it became undeniable.
How he shifted from clashing to dodging and counterattacking in one swift motion as if he had anticipated the attacks. Because he had.
What impressed him most was his ability to do all of this while his eyes were shut. This level of awareness, instincts sharpened to such a degree, was just terrifying.
Causing the awe bubbling inside him to surge, filling him with excitement. To learn so many skills in such a short span of time, things others would take their entire lives to master. That was just... genius.
This battle had been especially insightful.
If he could watch more. He stopped himself at the thought before his gaze fell to the bow in his arms.
To do all this, he would need to grow stronger. A hell of a lot stronger. Good thing he had a figure to aspire to. He chuckled faintly at the thought.

At another dungeon tunnel, the figure of a golden-robed youth came into sight.
"T-this..." Cedric muttered.
Multiple thoughts flared at the back of his mind as his mouth opened and closed repeatedly without forming a coherent word.
And with good reason.
After everything he had seen, he was left speechless. His eyes burned with an orange hue, his talent unknowingly flaring as the temperature around him shot up dangerously.
With what he had seen, only one thought echoed repeatedly. He couldn’t afford to make an enemy out of the dark-robed figure.
That would be courting death.
And until he understood enough, he would inform his mother as well. Any rash actions without understanding the full weight and source of the young lord’s power would lead to disastrous consequences.
All he could do was clench his fingers, feeling his figure helplessly fade into the background.
As the murmurs grew louder, among the crowd a blue-robed figure suddenly sprang out, rushing into the arena where the dark-robed youth stood.
Staring at the Sanguine Blood Wolf’s corpse, Ulric sank into thought before he was suddenly cut short.
Through his spiritual field, he sensed someone rushing toward him.
He didn’t need to turn to know who it was as a faint smile stretched across his lips.
When she was close enough, she reached out and clutched him tightly from behind.
Her scent wafted toward him, strangely soothing.
Before her troubled voice echoed.
"I knew you were strong enough to defeat it."
She muttered, retracting before slowly circling him, a soft chuckle slipping from her mouth.
"Why did you have to show off so much?"
She chided, her fingers reaching to pinch his waist. Before suddenly stopping.
"You aren’t hurt too much, are you?"
Her blue eyes widened as she saw the wounds he had sustained during the battle.
None were too grave.
Still, that didn’t stop her from worrying.
Firing off question after question, Ulric didn’t get the chance to reply to any of them, causing his lips to twitch faintly.
Seeing her mouth open once more, his hands reached out. Grabbing her head, he buried it into his chest as his fingers gently parted her silky hair.
He could feel the concern in her voice.
And that alone warmed him. Letting go, he looked down into her eyes once more.
The worry on her face had noticeably lessened, a twinge of mischievousness glinting in her gaze.
"You must have grown tired from all that fighting. I-I know how to ease you," she muttered, the last part slipping out as a faint blush spread across her face.
"You’ve grown more naughty," Ulric smiled, his blood rushing as he raised his palm to gently swat her ass, eliciting a soft yelp.
He was about to say more before he suddenly stopped, noticing something from the corner of his eye.
At the side, multiple gazes burned with different emotions, watching how close Lyra was to the young lord.
Most prominent among them was a girl clutching a huge shield. Her gaze was filled with yearning.
After seeing the full battle, her thoughts had only been confirmed. A thought taking root at the back of her mind.
One day, she would earn the spot to stand beside the young lord.

The Sanguine Blood Wolf suddenly burst into a slew of golden energy particles, slowly flowing into his body.
But that wasn’t what had caught his attention. It was what it had left behind.
Loot!
