Transmigrated to Game World with SSS Wife-Chapter 54: Forgotten Quadrant
"There are 4 kingdoms in total in this world, which is actually just one unimaginably large land mass with sprinkles of smaller bodies of water mixed in. Each kingdom is relatively equal in size and establishes itself in a corner of the square that is civilization. At the center of this square, where all 4 kingdoms intersect, is the Tower of Eternity. Right now, we are in the far right of the Equestrian Kingdom, in what is ironically a big city despite its close proximity to the Forgotten Quadrant."
Ugyr picked at a slice of bread as she talked, using her claws to pull it apart grain by grain. It was a delightful topic, the weakness of civilization. How it always teetered on the precipice of destruction.
"Surrounding civilization is the Forgotten Quadrant, which like I've explained is a place filled with monsters. In fact, you funny mortals gave it that name for a very specific reason-"
"Those who enter are entirely forgotten from time–not a single speck of blood is spared from the horrors."
All 3 were surprised to hear Amelia's voice interject into Ugyr's explanation. Juliana had seen her come in and was surprised that she would have any confidence. Meanwhile, the other 2 hadn't seen her at all.
Ugyr turned to Amelia, staring at the little girl for a second.
Then a hearty laugh escaped from her chest as even her eyes closed and her dragon tail flicked in excitement.
She placed one of her forefingers on Amelia, taking care to retract the claw, as she said, "Yes. That's the funny mortal reason. For those that time favors, we say something completely different. The Forgotten Quadrant is filled with ruins–
Civilizations that are so old even we who have traversed the land for eons do not know their beginning. The Forgotten Quadrant is vast, possibly endless, and with that comes entire empires that have crumbled against the weight of dominance."
Ugyr smiled at Nick as she spoke, her eyes darting between him and certain aspects of the mansion. The expansive main hall, which could be a base of operations; outside, where she knew Nick's first soldier was working attending the fields.
Her intonation implied a challenge to Nick–become stronger and quell this Forgotten Quadrant. Be free from crippling weakness.
Nick looked at Juliana and her striking hair, admiring the way the light bounced off her eyes and luscious lips. A quick glance was given to her generous curves before he turned to Amelia.
She was shy and there was a mask over her eyes, but he already knew she was full of life as well.
Ugyr, despite being a self-proclaimed immortal, was weird. He felt like she was full of life, but at the same time, some part of her felt dead.
Death scared him. Like it would any sane person.
"How far can you go into the Forgotten Quadrant before doom shows its ugly face? Basically, I'm asking if it would be safe to kill goblin camps on the outskirts of civilization."
Without even a moment's pause, Ugyr laughed and flicked a grain of bread at Nick. "It should be fine. You're too ugly to attract any of the big monsters anyway!"
'Really,' Nick lowered his eyes as the grain hit his nose and bounced off of it innocently.
"Goblins?" Amelia's soft voice asked, her earlier confidence already forgotten.
Nick turned to see her head lowered and hands placed against her chest, as if she was cowering away from the fight that hadn't even happened yet.
'That is bad. I understand if she doesn't like combat, but still. We need to get stronger. Even disregarding the Forgotten Quadrant, there's so much about this place that already screams danger. Not to mention what I know happens in the game...'
Screams and terror. As early as the tutorial, demons in Aether Babes were murdering civilians left and right. In the end, the player couldn't even save the city. He had to flee with Hesta, and barely survive at that.
Nick wasn't looking to meet the same fate. No, they were going to grind every bit of strength they could from goblin bases.
Juliana was already up and ready to leave when Nick said, "Let's go hunt some goblins then."
Amelia was silent but begrudgingly obliged.
...
The first goblin base didn't take too long to find. Additionally, to Nick's delight, it was filled with goblins to kill. He counted at least 52 goblins with his [Farseeing Eyes]. A nice and ready 5,200 experience for him or 10,400 for his Valkyries.
'Well, 12,480 with the 20 percent boost, actually.'
He thought for a second, thinking of the best way to divvy up the experience. Killing the goblins was already a given.

After all, they were his first victims and he had grown exponentially since then.
'It would be best to split our experience. At first, I planned on getting most of it, but that was under the assumption I could safely carry in slightly harder dungeons. Since any of them can be rigged at any time, that isn't entirely safe. Instead of spawning in a dungeon where I can easily one-shot all the mobs even if they are much higher level than my Valkyries, I could easily spawn in another dungeon where I'm locked in a long and hard fight, but they can't defend themselves.'
'Yes. I need to make sure they level up with me. Each of them makes double the experience I do. Essentially, I should kill 2 goblins for every goblin they kill. If we put that into a ratio, it would be 2:1:1.'
'52÷4 would be 13 sets of that ratio. So I'll kill 26 while they kill 13 each.'
Nick readied his fang with a smile, already picking out the 26 he would kill.
Noticing the rising blood lust in the air, Amelia blushed at Nick as she whispered, "W-what's he doing?"
Juliana simply patted her shoulder with a smile and said, "Watch the fireworks. Our king is going to put on a glorious display."
Leaping into the battle, Nick swung his sword at the first of his 26 targets.
Its head was cut clean off, and the resulting shockwave of [Emperor's Slash]... decimated the entire stronghold.
Nick blinked as the sound of silenced goblin screams and crushing boulders pierced through the air.
