Transmigrated to a Dark Fantasy World of SSS-Rank: King of the Void-Chapter 70: The Land of Ash [9]
Truth be told, fighting two small ash statues shaped like little girls didn’t carry much merit. However, since both sides were E-rank—based on Monar’s observation, whose experience seemed reliable—their power levels were equal. That was why Mitsuki stood in front of him, seeking to protect him while also receiving the power he needed.
The elf understood everything and extended his hand. "This is going to hurt quite a bit, so you’d better endure it."
Electricity wrapped around Mitsuki’s body before he could even process what was about to happen. He groaned as a painful tingling sensation surged through all his limbs, while the veins inside his body accelerated the flow of his blood.
His eyes took on the amber glow of Monar’s magic.
"You’re ready now," said the dark elf.
Mitsuki slowly turned around, annoyed.
"That hurt like hell."
Monar smiled.
"If Marco had the balls to endure it, why can’t you?"
That comment hit his ego like a hammer. Mitsuki sighed, holding back his irritation for another moment. ’First you say I’m perfect, and then you come at me with that. I think I misjudged you.’ But that didn’t matter now. What did matter were the small statues still watching in silence.
Suppressing the electrifying pain running through every molecule of his body, he raised the shotgun and aimed. The small figures reacted by taking defensive stances, as if they understood what the weapon in Mitsuki’s hands was.
’Let’s see if this can stay simple,’ he thought, channeling his magic.

The shotgun roared like it had an engine, glowing with the blue hues of the most intense Arcane flames. The small statues saw the light shining from the barrel and immediately sensed the danger. They tried to disperse into clouds of ash once again—but Mitsuki pulled the trigger at the perfect moment.
The flame shot forward, striking the ground instantly and leaving behind a small scorched crater. Mitsuki lowered the barrel, hoping he had hit one of the statues, but there was nothing there.
"Behind you!" Monar shouted.
Mitsuki turned, loading another round and firing without hesitation. The flame struck the wall of the adjacent house, where he barely caught sight of the first statue’s shadow slipping into the darkness between the buildings.
’Damn it, if they’re going to fight like this, then I need to do more than just shoot like an idiot.’
He heard something to his left. He aimed and fired. Once again, a shadow vanished between the buildings.
’If I can’t rely on myself from this moment on, then I’ll never become strong. Come on! I’m the best gamer in the world! This is just another easy game for me!’
Another sound to his right. He turned and fired—but the result was the same. The shadow disappeared within the brief flash of the explosion.
’I master every game that comes into my hands!’
His conviction was no joke, and that was precisely what was helping him, because there were still things within his reach that he hadn’t used until now.

’This is exactly what I needed! To experiment with all my abilities!’
It turned out the so-called "trash skills" he had obtained at the beginning were more than that. They didn’t directly grant him power—but that didn’t matter when you could learn in the middle of battle. That was why, instead of firing again, Mitsuki carefully listened to his surroundings.
As soon as the subtle movement of the shadows revealed itself, he focused on a single thought.

He turned and dashed toward the presence. With Monar’s support, he appeared in a blink in front of the shadow hiding near the corner of the alley and fired without mercy. The small statue, being intelligent, split its body into ash and scattered into the air, reforming behind Mitsuki.
The second statue lunged from the darkness of the building where Marco and the specter had fought, but thanks to his growing battle awareness, Mitsuki somehow anticipated it.
’There are two enemies. Of course they’d do that,’ he thought, turning to aim his shotgun.
The statue reacted immediately, dispersing into ash and reforming behind him. Her "sister" followed the movement, covering Mitsuki’s blind spot to execute a coordinated attack—but...
’I saw that coming too!’ he thought, summoning Viktor, his shapeshifting sword, to defend both angles. ’I didn’t spend seven hundred hours playing Dark Blood for nothing!’

With one hand, he aimed the shotgun, while with the other he raised the sword to strike the second statue. He fired at point-blank range, finally hitting the first one—but the second managed to evade by turning into ash.
"You’ve got this, Mitsuki!" Monar shouted, cheering from his position.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t over yet. The first statue was sent flying into the wall. Its chest burned with blue flames that slowly consumed the ash. Her sister appeared in front of her, taking her hand and helping her stand—but the fire consumed her quickly, erasing her...
The little one looked at her hand—the one that had just been holding her sister’s. She clenched her fist tightly, making the atmosphere grow heavy. Her eyes turned toward Mitsuki in anger, but he—
Bang! The fireball that shot from the barrel disintegrated the small figure instantly.
’You think that act is going to make me feel bad?’ He lowered the weapon, letting out a tired sigh. He looked at the ashes scattered across the ground. Somehow, he felt empty.
"You did quite well. I didn’t know you could fight like that," Monar said.
Mitsuki shook his head.
"Me neither..." The weapons vanished from his hands, returning to Spatial Storage. ’But I think it’s enough to get started.’
