"Then the base would become more busy again. It seems that we will have to postpone the day of our travel outside of the base again."

"Yeah. If we are only going out for a short mission, then we could already leave; however, if it’s for our long mission, then we have to leave after the announcement because we would be out for a few months."

"It should probably take a week, right?"

"Yeah, they’ll probably be able to settle most of it in a week. As for reconstruction and other things, they’ll probably be able to do it afterwards."

"Are there really a lot of buildings that were damaged?"

"Yes, a lot of buildings already had cracks or at least half of them damaged, and a few had already fallen to the ground.

You can try seeing it after going to a higher place. So, they’ll need a week to thoroughly clean things up and settle people; as for construction and repair, they’ll probably do it afterwards."

"I see. Anyway, I’ll be able to sleep more comfortably for a week," Luciel said with a smile.

"You really just think of having a comfortable sleeping time, huh."

"Of course, what’s more important than that aside from food?"

"Ok, you’re right. But I don’t think you would really have a comfortable sleeping time for a whole week because of the possible aftershocks.

It seems that the center of the earthquake is very near, so we would probably experience more aftershocks for the next few days."

"Those shakes wouldn’t be that strong anyway, so I could still sleep comfortably.

By the way, what about Nathan and Camille? They stayed behind?" Luciel asked as he didn’t see the two of them.

And it’s really obvious when the two of them weren’t around because the noise level around them would always be lower than usual, as the two people who always have a lot of things to talk about weren’t around.

"Yes, they wanted to help in the hospital for a bit because a lot of people had some injuries that needed bandaging and other things.

Others also suffered some more serious injuries because of the fallen debris, so they needed immediate operation and medication, so the two of them stayed behind."

Luciel nodded and began watching a movie that he had chosen while talking with Treyton.

Treyton also seemed to be free and wasn’t in a rush to do other things, so he just watched the movie with him.

While they were watching, they experienced another shaking, but it wasn’t strong, so they just ignored it and continued watching.

The others were also the same, as they only paused what they were doing for a bit before continuing again.

Even the kids, who were obviously always startled when it was shaking for the first few times, were already used to it and they could already continue playing just after the shaking.

They had already experienced a strong earthquake a few months ago and now there’s another one; it seemed that there are more strong earthquakes in the place where they were at, even though it shouldn’t be a place prone to earthquakes.

Treyton had already said before that the north wasn’t really prone to earthquakes, as they would only feel an earthquake once or twice after several years and those earthquakes wouldn’t be so strong.

Well, there’s probably a change that is happening or already happened in the planet; that’s why there are frequent earthquakes and severe weather aside from the zombie virus that affected humans and animals.

Luciel stopped thinking about it any longer because he doesn’t have any source of information about those for the time being, as the researchers and other people in the base were still studying those things and they hadn’t found any significant progress yet.

So he just stopped thinking about those and continued focusing on the movie that they were watching.

While they were watching movies, since the aftershocks weren’t as frequent anymore, Richard and the others began cleaning up the villa.

When they went inside in the evening, Luciel went to look for additional snacks and saw that most of the cabinets in the kitchen were empty.

It seemed that most of their plates and other things in the kitchen were already broken because of the strong earthquakes. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

It seemed that they hadn’t put new ones in yet because it would be a waste if a lot of those things would be broken again.

They’ll probably fill them again after a few more days pass. It was also the same with their living room, as a lot of their decorations and things had fallen and weren’t usable and presentable anymore.

Even the big TV they have seemed to have malfunctioned already, so they have to change it, but they still haven’t installed the new one.

Luciel knew that they had a lot of extras because they got some of those when they passed by some malls when they were out, but it seemed that they still didn’t want to put the new ones so as not to waste them just in case.

They actually don’t have to worry about it because Treyton and Dan can just fasten it to the wall with their abilities.

Well, they weren’t using it a lot of times anyway, as most of the time only the kids were using it. But they still have a lot of computers where the kids could watch what they wanted.

As for the rooms of the members, it seemed that they had also removed a lot of things and they had also asked Dan to properly stick their cabinets and other things to the walls for the time being.

Treyton also checked all the villas again and made sure to reinforce them before they finally went back to their rooms to rest.

And thankfully, while they were resting at night, they didn’t feel any shaking anymore.

They only felt another shake the next day when it was already near lunch time again.
