Since they woke up at just around 4 am, which is still very early in the morning, the others started training their abilities in their seats while the others were still chatting and talking about how bad the start of the year is.

Luciel also agreed to their statements; they had already dealt with mutant birds, zombie birds, and zombies in the afternoon before the New Year.

But now, just after their celebration, they only managed to sleep for two hours before they were disturbed by a strong earthquake again.

Richard was their only main cook this time and would probably be the one to prepare most of their food for the following days because Nina’s hand was injured by her cabinet in her room.

So, Nina couldn’t do her work for the next few days, so their main cook for the following days would mainly be Richard.

As for the cleaning duty, they still have a lot of people in their team that could help with it.

Edna, Lottie, Violet, and Bela, who were mostly the ones helping Nina and Richard, only had some bruises, so they’ll probably still help Richard later.

When Richard was cooking, he didn’t even prepare a lot because they didn’t go to their kitchen as it’s still currently a mess.

He only cooked something simple and then just prepared the things that they hadn’t managed to eat last night, as there was still a lot of food left.

After their breakfast, Treyton led some of their members to go and help the base.

This time he picked those that could help in clearing things, like Wes and Mia, who could clear the ground easily with their earth abilities; Jane and Nichole, who could help in lifting things up with the vines that they have; Azim, who has telekinesis; Nate and Derek, who have wind abilities; and all the others that were helpful in clearing debris and rescuing people that might be trapped in those debris.

He left those with fire abilities, as well as others whose abilities couldn’t help in such tasks, except for Nathan and Camille, who could help in treating those with injuries.

Treyton also left all the ordinary people in the villa because they wouldn’t stay long in the cleanup.

They would only help in removing the debris around the people to rescue those who were trapped and clean up a bit of the area on the road; as for other things, they would leave them to the other people in the base.

After they left, Luciel started playing a game on his phone while the others had already started their physical training at the garden, while the kids also started learning something from Aunt Cana.

Treyton said that they would only help in clearing debris at the base and helping those that were trapped, but it seemed that they had to clear a lot of things in the base as they only returned after lunch.

"How’s the damage around the base?" Luciel asked Treyton, who sat beside him after they returned.

"A lot of things are in a mess. The earthquake caused more damage than the attack of those zombie birds.

More buildings have fallen or have large cracks in them, so the base has to spend a lot of material to repair those again to be livable.

As for the flimsy houses on the temporary base, those that weren’t destroyed by the zombie birds were thoroughly destroyed by the earthquake.

Fortunately, most of the buildings that you had covered were still mostly intact and only needed a bit of repair. But there were still 2 buildings that had half of them in a terrible state and had caused a lot of injuries.

And even though we had cleaned up most of the zombies yesterday, we saw a lot of them again because those who ran out or were injured had actually come into contact with the places that had blood of the zombie birds and zombies, or they had encountered the few zombies that they hadn’t managed to kill yet.

So while clearing the debris on the road and helping out those that were blocked, we also had to deal with the zombies that had emerged on the way.

The rescue and checking of people was also slowed down because they had to quarantine almost everyone because they might have been infected by the zombie virus again because of their injuries, as they weren’t sure if they had touched something."
