Luciel used the vines he had to entangle some zombie birds while dealing with the nearest ones using his glaive.

Most of the time, he would directly target their brains through their eyes, as they were very straightforward and wanted to attack him.

But when they were attacking other people, he would just attack their necks in order to break them.

As for the ones that were entangled with vines, he would always deal with them after dealing with those that were very near him, or just control the vines to directly break their necks if they could, or pierce their minds through their eyes.

After arriving at one of the concrete buildings, he would deal with the zombies that were near him while also controlling the vines to cover the entire building.

He entirely closed the vines with no openings to prevent the zombies from breaking through the windows and doors of the building, and afterward, he would just enclose another five meters around the building and leave some openings in them.

Afterward, he would kill almost all the zombie birds that were surrounding the building before moving to the next one.

Luciel had left a lot of energy in the vines, and his control over them had also gotten stronger, so within a minute or two, he could directly finish covering an entire building with thick vines.

He continuously moved around, prioritizing covering the buildings with vines as there were a lot of people in them.

Of course, while on his way, he still continued killing zombie birds and sometimes zombies when he saw a lot of them on his way to another building.

He also ended up helping some of those who were assisting in the rescue of people.

After dealing with some zombie birds, he saw some people were being surrounded by zombie birds and zombies, so he just dropped on top of their car and dealt with those attacking them before continuing on his way.

After he finished covering all the concrete buildings and some temporary houses with more people he had seen along the way, he still continued staying at the temporary housing zone, as there were still a lot of zombie birds and zombies. Luciel looked around the temporary zone again while at the top of the building and saw the place where a lot of rescuers and rescued people were, and headed there.

When he arrived, he still saw the soldiers and those with superpowers and the ability to fight continuing the struggle, and they seemed to be trying to head out of the temporary zone.

The area they were in was far from the buildings he had just covered with vines, so it seemed those rescuers were working hard to let the people they rescued out of the temporary zone for a better chance of survival.

However, they were obviously having a hard time because their numbers kept increasing as a lot of those who were also running for their lives joined them, but those that could really fight and deal damage to the zombie birds were only a few.

Most of the people with them could indeed deal with the zombies that were just transformed, but they couldn’t deal with all the zombie birds that were attacking them and were about to attack them.

And they probably couldn’t continue going out, as even if they got out, there were also a lot of zombie birds outside of the temporary zone.

"I’ll make a temporary shelter here with vines. You guys don’t need to go out; just defend them here or stay with them inside of the vines," Luciel said to the soldiers and to the ability users that were around.

After speaking, he immediately began controlling the vines he had to cover the area where they were with thick vines.

Those soldiers and the other people who were fighting also immediately decided what they had to do.

Some immediately stayed in the obvious circle where the enclosure would be, and most of the others immediately moved farther away so that they wouldn’t be included in the place he was encircling with vines.

Seeing that they had already moved away, Luciel continued what he was doing and thoroughly made an enclosed area with the vines he had.

Afterward, he made an extension of about four meters around the place he had covered again for those who were still running towards them and for those soldiers and ability users to stay at.

With it, they would certainly have an easier time dealing with the zombie birds that still wanted to attack them.

After they saw the enclosure and its structure, those who had moved farther away understood and went inside after thanking him.

Luciel also didn’t stay and continued to move around. He continued killing zombie birds and zombies along the temporary zone, and when he saw that the zombie birds were finally thinning, he finally started moving away from the temporary housing zone to go to the base wall nearby.

He had been paying attention to the situation of the zombie birds around the base, and the number of zombie birds in other areas of the base still wasn’t as high as those in the temporary housing zone and on the base walls. So, he planned to go directly to the walls, as the situation in the temporary housing zone had improved a bit.

There were also some more ability users and soldiers that came to the temporary housing zone to help in cleaning up the zombie birds, so Luciel immediately started going to the base walls as there were more zombie birds there that he could deal with.
