Chapter 269: Hell Raid Arc [ 12 ]

The moment I muttered those words, all hell finally broke loose.

The four Demon Kings that remained stopped holding back, including Wilhelm, who immediately used his Telekinesis to try and yank Aliyah’s sword out from her grasp.

Yet he wasn’t able to actually do that, since I was here. After learning Atomic Anchoring, I could pretty much make something or someone immune to Telekinesis, or rather, the finer and more atomic parts of it.

In this case, a simple pull was rendered useless as its power was reduced, allowing Aliyah to not even bat an eye as she swung her katana down at the others.

However, with everyone now using their Gifts, the fight now took a complete 180.

After all, besides Wilhelm, the three Demon Kings were also unique.

One of them had a luscious head of hair, tied in a ponytail. He looked like a Viking, and he most definitely fought like a Viking, since his Gift significantly enhanced his muscles. Not to mention, he also had access to Darkness Manipulation, much like the rest of the top Demons.

The other was a regular-looking man, but with a very sharp jawline and narrow eyes. He looked like the type of person I would never trust, and in the same manner, he had some mutated form of Blood Manipulation.

Instead of just Blood, he was controlling specks of poison that came out from his pores. I couldn’t tell how potent it was, because Aliyah’s glowing blue aura managed to nullify it before it could reach her.

But if it belonged to a Demon King, it was most likely overpowered.

And lastly, the final man didn’t seem that special at a glance, except unlike the others, he didn’t have an offensive Gift. Instead, it was purely focused on support.

From the looks of it, it boosted the movement speed of the other Demon Kings, and from how their Gifts had this weird golden aura around them, I guessed it increased their damage as well. Clearly, he was one of the people we needed to target.

Though, with all four of them having the addition of Darkness Manipulation, actually killing them was hard. And that became even more clear as the fight began getting much more violent.

Telekinesis didn’t work on Aliyah, but that didn’t change the fact that he could enhance his attacks to an extreme degree, to the point where each simple punch carried the strength of several hundred mountains.

As the seconds ticked down, the poison-wielding Demon King began sending his poison toward Wilhelm, in an attempt to actually make his attacks do something. Yet amidst the obvious strongest, the body-enhancing Demon King surprised all three of us.

After all, despite appearing like the weakest, every time he was able to land a hit on Aliyah’s sword, the force behind it doubled. That likely meant he had some kind of power that was similar to Asura’s. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Except unlike Asura, whose attacks dealt more damage the faster he moved, this Demon King’s attack damage stacked with every hit landed. It was something very overpowered.

But sadly, it also suffered from a very obvious flaw, much like Asura’s Gift. Whenever he didn’t attack for a certain period of time, his attack damage boost reset. Obviously, it took longer than it did for Asura, and from the looks of things, it didn’t disappear completely, but was cut in half instead.

Still...

"Clementine, how’s it looking?" I asked.

When I turned to Clementine, I saw her stabbing the Demonic Core relentlessly. Blood spurted all over her face, but she ignored it. Though, she also ignored me, since she was too focused.

I could see a chunk of that Demonic Core slowly turning silver, which meant it was working.

But that also meant I could finally stop protecting her and put my focus on the battle ahead. After all, with the Demon Kings using their Gifts, Aliyah was finally starting to struggle and exhaust herself more.

So with that in mind, I decided to call out to my Guardian.

’Wakey wakey, go protect Clementine.’

[Wakey wakey? Is that how you call out to your Guardian?] Morr asked in disbelief.

’What do you mean? I thought you were asleep, since you hadn’t said a word since the fight started.’

Morr paused for a moment.

[That was because I was rejuvenating my health... But very well, I shall protect Clementine and alert you if there’s something I can’t handle.]

Right as he was about to leave and help her, I said:

’One more thing... Morr, I’ll be calling on you more frequently starting soon. I also want you to teach me your Black Lightning technique. It’s non-negotiable.’

[Didn’t I tell you that you aren’t ready?] Morr insisted.

’I don’t care, Morr. I would rather ruin my body and damage my psyche than to remain powerless in the grand scheme of things. Now that’s enough. Leave and protect her.’

At my words, a moment of silence ensued, until finally Morr manifested himself and flew over to Clementine. After he landed on her shoulder, he just stared at me, not saying a word.

I didn’t say anything either, and instead, I turned back to the fight.

Right at that moment, a splash of poison from one of the Demon Kings flew toward me, and although I was curious what damage it could do to me, I decided to instead just catch it with my Telekinesis, bottle it in an imaginary bubble, and then, with all my power, I tossed it at the support-type Demon King.

As the bubble of poison flew through the air, the unsuspecting Demon Kings failed to notice it until it was way too late. The bubble of poison struck the support-type Demon King and then burst, spilling poison all over his face.

And to my genuine surprise, his face was immediately melted, revealing his skull and his brain. Not to mention, some of the poison managed to fall in between the bone matter and land on the Demon King’s brain, causing him to momentarily stop supporting the others.

That moment was enough for Aliyah to take the opportunity to cover her katana in aura and then swing it down at him.
