Top Gamer Reincarnated as an Archmage-Chapter 61: Effects of a King
"Hey, get off him!" Myrrava yelled from behind the two as she was ready to throw a punch; however, Jyrana jumped off him and dodged it without any effort.
"Who is the pipsqueak?" She pointed at Myrrava; however, Klaus was still seeing stars from the impact.
’Can it get any worse?’ He thought he was on the verge of passing out as he barely managed to push himself up; his bones legitimately creaked as he stood still and cleared his throat.
"She is a princess—"
Before he could even finish it, Myrrava interrupted proudly, "I am Princess Myrrava Veyra Drayvok! And I’m not a pipsqueak—"
"Cool story, but your title doesn’t mean anything here," Jyrana laughed wholeheartedly whilst pointing at the ground.
Myrrava was caught off guard, "Where exactly?"
"On academy grounds; your title doesn’t mean shit!" Jyrana kept swearing at her, which was starting to piss Myrrava off.
’Oh my god, what have I gotten myself into,’ he sighed as he rubbed off the dirt from his clothes, ’At least we are on academy grounds.’ He took a deep breath of relief after realising what Jyrana said.
"So we are in the academy’s forest?" Klaus interrupted the two’s argument whilst adjusting his hat; both of them turned towards him; both of them looked annoyed, but Klaus didn’t care; he just wanted to get out of the forest.
"Lead the way, Jyrana," he sighed as Jyrana instantly thumped her large chest out proudly and started leading them north.
Myrrava seemed defeated as she kept biting her nails, possibly out of sheer frustration.
Slowly, the leaves started dispersing in front of the three, as Klaus spotted multiple familiar buildings, most importantly the main building of the academy.
Students were fighting outside on the training grounds; however, they instantly stopped and turned towards the three.
"Who is that girl?"
"Why did they just come from the forest?"
Klaus looked around; not even a day had passed, so the students didn’t even notice his disappearance, which made him glad.
"We should go to the headmaster’s office...possibly," he looked at Myrrava whilst ignoring the murmurs; she just looked around, amazement was finally visible on her face as her mouth was slightly agape. As if she had never seen the outside of the castle and their kingdom.
"Right," Jyrana let out a chuckle as Myrrava looked like a country bumpkin just looking around.
They walked into the main building, whilst Klaus had to push Myrrava around because she would have stopped after any minor inconvenience to observe things, but he just wanted to get it over with.
Slowly but surely they arrived in front of a familiar office, and Klaus knocked on the door whilst Jyrana and Myrrava kept arguing.
’Seems like they’ll get along,’ he was tired as he let out a sigh waiting for a response, which didn’t come at all.
So he knocked again and again, until he heard a response from inside.
"Come in...only the two of you," the voice was tired but Klaus recognised it, so he did as told and pushed the door open.
Myrrava instantly followed after him, as she heard that only two of them could enter, leaving Jyrana behind the door again as she closed it.
Headmaster Marcus was covered in paperwork as he looked at the two of them from over five stacks of papers.
"You guys caused me quite the trouble, especially you young miss," he let out a chuckle despite his fatigue.
Myrrava just looked at him without a care in the world; she didn’t even bother introducing herself, seeing that the headmaster didn’t either.
"My father said I should come freely and he will handle things..."
’Right,’ Klaus wasn’t surprised as he remembered the loud old man, the king.
"Sure but now as you can see..." Marcus pointed at the handful of paperwork in front of him, "I also have to take care of things, not just your father Miss Myrrava."
’So they both know each other already, not surprising,’ Klaus looked at the old man who looked back at him.
"As for you, Sir Klaus, your reward will be granted to you. Feel free to look through all the senior classes and pick them to your liking," he started digging through some papers until he found a folder which he handed to Klaus.
"Thank you, Headmaster," Klaus bowed slightly, not knowing what to say as the entire room seemed awkward. Myrrava was just standing still waiting. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"Then I’ll take my leave," he started backtracking his steps towards the door and Myrrava followed after him; however, she was stopped.
"Lady Myrrava, we have paperwork to handle," with that, he threw a stack of paperwork on the table. "Lots, together," he smiled, which kind of crept Klaus out, but he didn’t care; he just wanted to leave.
Myrrava was about to say something, but Klaus darted out of the room without saying anything, leaving the two alone to their own business.
"Phew," he breathed a sigh of relief; however, he was then face to face with Jyrana again, who just happened to see the folder he was holding still.
"What’s that?" She genuinely seemed interested as she turned her head; however, Klaus kept walking, already so tired he was on the brink of falling asleep.
Klaus didn’t see a point in lying and didn’t think he would be able to shake her off currently without falling asleep. "Senior classes, I can pick."
"Whoa!" She yelled out so loudly that multiple students turned their direction, but Klaus covered her mouth, sadly too late.
’Just kill me already,’ his eyes fluttered as he let go and kept walking, being followed by her like an obedient puppy would follow him.
"Why did you bring the girl though?"
"I didn’t; she came out of her own will," which was true, sadly, even if Klaus wasn’t expecting it to happen, it did.
"Oh well, that’s different then," she coughed awkwardly as her tail started wagging around for some reason.
’What could she possibly be—’ however, Klaus shook off the thought, ’I rather not know what she’s thinking of.’
Instead, they just kept walking towards the dormitories.
