To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 89: Is this a dream, perhaps?
Chapter 89 - Is this a dream, perhaps?
Yun-tae spent quite some time in the bathroom. Maybe it was because he was lost in thoughts so much that he actually forgot he needed to use soap under the shower.
So many things roamed through his head. Chin-hwa and Kang-woo's true feelings, why Chin-hwa would push him to Kang-woo despite his own feelings, his relationship with Kang-woo, and then there was Ji-hoo, who Chin-hwa recently started dating.
Everything was a mess.
When he found out Chin-hwa actually loved Kang-woo, it felt like someone was stabbing him in the heart.
He could assume that Chin-hwa had gotten over her feelings, and that was why he pushed him to Kang-woo, but then he couldn't ignore the look in Chin-hwa's eyes all the time.
When Kang-woo wasn't looking and Chin-hwa thought everyone else wasn't paying attention to him, he would lift his gaze and stare at Kang-woo with this lingering feeling in his eyes.
It was as if he was hoping for something to happen. But each time, he drops his gaze in disappointment and goes back to what he was doing.

'I don't know what's going on with them or what Chin-hwa expects but... Nothing is in the right place. Nothing.' He thought. 'And I...' he looked down at his chest, which was covered in foam.
He pressed his hand on his chest and closed his eyes, gently sliding his hand over his soapy chest.
'...my heart... It isn't in the right place either.' he thought, and thought back to Chin-hwa's smile.
His face reddened but that only made him sad. So, he sadly dropped his gaze and ripped his head, allowing the shower to wash down his hair.
He had been outside the shower while he covered himself in soap.
'My heart...' He bit his bottom lip. '...what is wrong with it? Why is it beating so loudly and warmly for him when it knows it's an impossible dream?'
Yun-tae shoved his fingers through his hair as he raised his head.
Even without being told, he could tell that he had somehow grown feelings for Chin-hwa, which was literally a taboo. They were both Omegas, so why did he suddenly grow feelings for him?
Why him?
He was supposed to be in love with Kang-woo. His heart was supposed to beat for Kang-woo alone, so why was it beating for Chin-hwa as well?
He got so frustrated but there was nothing he could do. He couldn't even scream at the top of his lungs because then he'd be making an unnecessary ruckus in someone's house.
'Hah! I must be crazy,' he thought. 'And to think I got jealous over the knowledge that Hwa's family already acknowledges Kang-woo as their in-law. I just be mad.'
He was so close to actually losing his mind and cackling like a maniac, but he stepped into the shower.
'Is this a dream, perhaps?' he wondered, the water rushing down his entire body and washing away the foam. 'Am I stuck in a dream while I was thinking of the concept of love?'
He covered his face, tears whelming up in his eyes. He felt even more bitter at this point.
"I wish this was a dream." He exclaimed and reached for the shower knob to turn off the shower, but he stepped on the soap he had accidentally dropped in frustration, and his hand slipped on the wall.
He had hoped to lean on the wall for support, but the tiled wall still had a bit of soap, so it was slippery.
He fell straight to the floor from there.
"Ugh, it hurts." He exclaimed loudly, holding his head and his waist.
His rough landing took him by surprise.
"This must be the universe trying to tell me that this isn't a dream." He said, his eyes tearing up even more. "So cruel. I just want to love in peace. Just give me somebody that I can call my own already. What did I do to deserve this pain?" His tears slowly fell. "What am I doing wrong?"
"Are... Are you okay?"
He suddenly heard an unfamiliar voice from the other side of the door and gasped.
"I... I heard a sound, did you fall? Do you need help? Are you hurt?" The person at the other side of the door asked and a stunned Yun-tae shook his head.
He needed to get his act together.
"I... I'm fine." He said. "I just fell. I can get up on my own. But more importantly, who are you?"
"Ah, I... I was sent to bring you your clothes." He said.
'So, he's a helper.' Yun-tae thought. 'I hadn't seen any before but I guess it's not surprising that this household has helpers.'
"Are you sure you're okay?" He asked and Yun-tae said,
"Yes, I'm fine. I'm getting up now," he confidently tried to get up, only to fall back down as his ankle had been sprained and the other leg suddenly got a cramp, "Ah!"
"You're not okay, you need help." Myung-woo said worriedly, and Yun-tae wondered why he was sounding so worried when he didn't even know him. "Hold on, I'm coming in."
"No, you can't come in!" Yun-tae yelled alarmingly. He was still naked. If whoever it was walked in, they would see his naked body.
"I know you're not dressed so I'll be covering my face. Just help me take out anything that might cause me to slip." He said and picked up one of the pillows, stripped it of its case, and tied his entire face. 'I hope he's not too hurt.' he thought and slowly reached for the door handle. "I'm coming in now."
"Wait, how can I... How can I trust you? I don't even know you."
"But I know you." Myung-woo said. "I mean, I've seen you around since the first day you arrived and I don't have any other intentions. So please, trust me this once."
Yun-tae gulped. Could be really trust whoever was at the door? What if they lied and walked in with their eyes open just to see his naked body? What if it was a pervert?
"Alright, you... You can come in."
The towel was far from him and he couldn't even risk trying to get it for fear that he would fall again and hurt himself more badly than the last.
He closed his eyes, praying it was someone sincere when he opened them and found the person's face covered completely with a pillowcase.
"Where are you?" Myung-woo asked, slowly making his way in.
"I... I'm here." Yun-tae answered with a silent voice. He was nervous. He felt so exposed as he was naked and someone was near.
He got so conscious that his eyes did not leave the man for even a second. But then he stopped walking.
'Why did he suddenly stop?' he gulped, still wondering this man's intent.
"I'm sorry, but can you please keep talking? I need to follow your voice to get to where you are." Myung-woo requested. "I'm not exactly adept at walking with my vision blocked, so please help me out."
