Tiny Genius Alert! Mom & Dad Better Make Peace-Chapter 481 - 450: Junni Liangsheng: Mom Is by Your Side (Part 2)
It was unknown how long the standoff lasted. Jian Liangtong took a cautious breath and slowly stepped towards Huo Tinghao.
Huo Tinghao’s dark eyes narrowed as Jian Liangtong approached. Due to holding his breath for a long time, his slightly pale little face flushed a hint of unusual red.
Jian Liangtong stood in front of Huo Tinghao, forcing him to raise his chin to look at her face.
Jian Liangtong swallowed, speaking awkwardly, "Weren’t you looking for Dad?"
"..." Huo Tinghao said nothing, just stared straight at Jian Liangtong, as if he hadn’t heard her at all.
Jian Liangtong was slightly at a loss, licking her lips she said, "I’ll knock on the door for you."
With that, Jian Liangtong walked to the door and raised her hand to knock.
"Mom..."
Jian Liangtong’s raised hand froze instantly, her pupils trembled greatly, and she slowly turned her head to see the little guy behind her, lifting his small head looking eagerly at her.
"You..."
Jian Liangtong’s voice lightly trembled, and just as she uttered a word, her legs were suddenly knocked into, her waist was tightly hugged by two slender arms.
Jian Liangtong turned to stone on the spot, completely uncertain how to respond to the current situation.
As time passed by the second, Jian Liangtong’s frozen lashes suddenly quivered, her fixed gaze gently shifted, and she looked down at Huo Tinghao, who buried his face deeply into her stomach.
His grip around her was so strong, the small body surprisingly powerful, squeezing her to the point it actually hurt a bit.
"Are you hungry?"
On the sofa, Jian Liangtong smiled gently at Huo Tinghao, who was clinging to her and asked softly.
Huo Tinghao’s eyes never left Jian Liangtong. Upon hearing her question, he lightly shook his head, "I already had dinner."
"But now it’s already late at night. How about some supper?" Jian Liangtong suggested.
"Hmm..." Huo Tinghao seriously thought it over, looking at Jian Liangtong, replied seriously in a soft voice, "Is there anything to eat here?"
Uh...
"I’ll go see what’s in the fridge," Jian Liangtong said as she was about to get up, but her hand was tightly held by Huo Tinghao’s small hand.
Jian Liangtong couldn’t help but chuckle, pursing her lips as she patiently looked at him, "Do you want to come with me?"
Huo Tinghao’s eyes brightened, "Yes."
So, Jian Liangtong held Huo Tinghao’s hand and walked toward the fridge.
Unfortunately, when they opened the fridge, they found nothing but water and beer, no food at all.
Jian Liangtong frowned and looked down at Huo Tinghao, "What do we do?"
"It’s okay, I’m not hungry," Huo Tinghao patted Jian Liangtong’s hand with his other little hand, acting like a tiny adult.
Jian Liangtong couldn’t help but reach out and stroke his head, then took a bottle of water, leading Huo Tinghao back to the sofa, sitting side by side, pressed closely together.
Jian Liangtong opened the bottle cap and handed the water to Huo Tinghao, "Want some water?"
Huo Tinghao shook his head.
"Not thirsty?" Jian Liangtong blinked, "Then I’ll drink it."
Huo Tinghao watched as she drank the water, and when some accidentally slipped from the corner of her mouth, he quickly leaned over, grabbed a tissue from the coffee table, and handed it to Jian Liangtong, "Mom, here’s a tissue."
Mom...
Hearing him call her that again, Jian Liangtong nearly spat out the water.
Taking a deep breath, Jian Liangtong slowly moved the bottle from her lips, capping it while glancing at Huo Tinghao from the corner of her eye, smiling a bit awkwardly, "Uh, little guy, I still don’t know your name?"
Huo Tinghao suddenly froze, his eyes looked a bit strange, and somewhat... worried.
Not hearing his response, Jian Liangtong looked at him puzzledly, but seeing the pale on his small face, she was startled, quickly putting down the water, turning to face him, her tone nervous, "Little guy, are you okay?"
Huo Tinghao’s small mouth tightened, "You, you don’t know my name?"
His voice sounded so aggrieved and sad.
Jian Liangtong looked at his increasingly reddening eyes, both surprised and confused, she took a deep breath secretly, and sat up straight looking at him saying, "Little guy, this is our first meeting today, maybe you’ve mistaken me for someone else?"
"I didn’t mistake you for anyone!" Huo Tinghao clenched his small fists, his tone firm, his eyes filled with anger and hurt, "Don’t you want me anymore?"
"..." Jian Liangtong sensed that Huo Tinghao’s emotions were a bit intense.
But she had no experience being alone with a child, and no idea how to soothe a child in distress.
So when faced with Huo Tinghao’s questioning, sorrow, and sadness, she really didn’t know what to do.
Seeing her not speaking, Huo Tinghao looked at her innocently, his large eyes clearly dimmed, yet he persistently asked again, "Do you really not want me anymore?"
