Chapter 1699: Chapter 1699: Unless You Die

However, Charlotte couldn’t help but recall the scene from before when Oliver Hudson came here to take Olivia Thompson away.

This made her expression somewhat inexplicable as she raised her head to look towards Annie Anne.

"Annie is awake now, just take her away directly."

Yet, for the appearing Oliver Hudson, Annie Anne seemed to not even notice him, as she straightforwardly walked up to Charlotte and spoke.

Charlotte reached out and picked up Olivia Thompson: "Not coming with me to see the other children?"

"Forget it, suddenly feeling lazy, won’t go. I’ll find you when I have time," Annie Anne shook her head with a smile.

"Goodbye, Mommy."

Olivia stayed obediently in Charlotte’s arms, waving towards Annie Anne.

Then she turned her gaze to Oliver Hudson’s face, just about to say something, but Annie Anne stepped forward and interrupted her.

"Be good by Mommy Charlotte’s side, don’t cause her any trouble, Mommy will come to see you in a few days."

As she spoke, Annie Anne pinched Olivia’s soft cheek.

Olivia solemnly nodded.

Then Annie Anne and Oliver Hudson saw Charlotte and Olivia Thompson off.

After Charlotte’s car disappeared from her view, Annie Anne reluctantly let her indifferent gaze fall on Oliver Hudson.

Originally, she wanted to pull back the hand held by Oliver Hudson, but no matter how she struggled, Oliver Hudson didn’t intend to let go.

"Let go," Annie Anne said softly.

Oliver Hudson looked at Annie Anne complexly before finally mouthing:

"Do you really have to do this?"

Noticing Oliver Hudson loosening his grip on her hand, Annie Anne quickly withdrew her hand, her face instantly showing a disgusted expression, as if she had touched something dirty just now.

Upon hearing Oliver Hudson’s inquiry, Annie Anne lifted her gaze and amusedly curled her lips.

"What about me? Haven’t you been threatening me with Annie all along, making me obey you? Now you’re voluntarily letting me send Annie away, so why are you blaming me for the mistake?"

"I said, I wasn’t trying to use Annie to threaten you, I wanted to protect you..."

Yet Oliver Hudson’s words were abruptly cut off by Annie Anne.

"So this is what Mr. Hudson calls protection. I thought Mr. Hudson would find a lock and shut me directly in a cage, now that’s called protection, right?"

Annie Anne wore a bright smile and was about to turn away, but Oliver Hudson quickly grabbed her arm.

"Why can’t everything be past and start over?" Oliver Hudson seemed to hesitate for a long time before using all his strength to ask this question.

But in the reflection of his agony was Annie Anne’s suddenly sunken expression.

It was Annie Anne who leaned closer to Oliver Hudson, standing on tiptoe to whisper in his ear:

"Unless you die, there’s no way my life can start over."

Having said that, Annie Anne ignored whatever expression Oliver Hudson might show or answer he might give, she simply turned around.

"Oliver Hudson, the more you don’t want me to do something, the more I want to defy you. If you don’t want me to leave, fine, then put me back in that basement again."

Watching Annie Anne’s thin back, Oliver Hudson tightened his hands hanging at his sides, finally lowering his shoulders in some despondency.
