The Concealed Emperor had always known about Confucius’s true identity. Or rather, suspected it, and everything Founder Confucius did only furthered his suspicion until it was all but the truth. Not just him, but Perfected Huanglong had the same suspicion. It was one reason why neither of them stopped him from splitting the Huang Realm into two.

The ease with which Founder Confucius accomplished this only confirmed their suspicions. Not to say the Concealed Emperor or Perfected Huanglong could not replicate the same feat, but they would have caused a much larger commotion. They would also have had to expend a large amount of divine essence. The process would have caused the Huang Realm to lose a large portion of its foundation.

He had always been wary of Confucius taking action and superseding the Immortal Court as the dominant ruler of the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System. And now, he appeared where Tianyi had asked to meet, along with the remnants of the Numinous Sword Sect.

The thoughts the Concealed Emperor had laid to rest returned like a tide. Did Tianyi want to eliminate the two of them because they didn’t support this plan, or did Confucius have a method to win over Tianyi, thus creating the current situation? If that was the case, why did Tianyi mention the Chaos Fusion method then?

Still, the Concealed Emperor moved closer to Perfected Huanglong. He also gestured for Jiang Ziya to do the same, but the latter ignored him. Instead, he calmly gazed at Founder Confucius and Bao Ling, the emotions behind his gaze unknown.

Bao Ling ignored him, but Founder Confucius stared at Jiang Ziya for a moment before giving an amiable smile to the Concealed Emperor and Perfected Huanglong. “There’s no need to be so worried. An old man like me does not intend to contend for hegemony.”

The Concealed Emperor and the others clearly didn’t believe him, but Founder Confucius didn’t mind. “Our presence here is because we lost something precious due to the Lord of Primordial Beginning’s actions before the end of the primordial era.” 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Both the Concealed Emperor and Perfected Huanglong were in the dark about the truth. While Guang Chengzi participated in the battle, the Concealed Emperor was a clone and was not present. The main body died while the clone survived. Perfected Huanglong had also not been present. Due to events before that battle, he was still recuperating and had not joined, saving his life.

“You know the truth?” the Concealed Emperor asked, testing the waters.

“There’s no need to hide the matter,” Founder Confucius said. Although he didn’t explain what happened to him or Bao Ling, he revealed almost everything to the two.

Upon learning the truth, the Concealed Emperor and Perfected Huanglong could not believe their ears. Were they really not hallucinating, or was Founder Confucius lying to them? But if it was the truth… chills crawled up their spines.

Even if they were not high and mighty divinities, no one liked knowing that their life and death were at constant risk—especially if that risk had always been present and they had remained unaware in the dark. So even if they did not want to destabilize the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System, their inclination leaned toward Tianyi’s plan. They only wanted him to delay longer and have a higher chance of success.

“Empress Ping has long known the truth and will fully support the Nine Heavens Divinity’s actions,” Founder Confucius said.

The Concealed Emperor frowned. “Are you sure she won’t take action in the midst of chaos? After all, her origins…”

“Don’t worry,” Founder Confucius said. “She knows what’s important, and if she does take action, she’ll only do so after the success. And if she does take advantage of the situation, this old man guarantees he will stop her.”

Of course, his guarantee only applied to the period immediately after the success of the operation. As for the time after that, it was the Heavenly Immortal Court’s problem. Both he and the Concealed Emperor knew this, but neither brought it up.

With that sorted out, the Concealed Emperor was much more relaxed. Perfected Huanglong did not care too much about the Heavenly Immortal Court, so he wasn’t as worried, but it was Jiang Ziya who showed no reaction. It was as if everything was unrelated to him.

The Concealed Emperor turned his attention to Bao Ling. He could feel the aura of divinity on him, and he didn’t feel like Founder Confucius’s disciple—more like an equal. This meant he was likely a contemporary from the primordial era and not a newly risen divinity.

He recalled Bao Ling’s chosen Daoist title, Qingping.

“Hiss.” The Concealed Emperor couldn’t help but connect the Daoist title to a certain sword belonging to one of the three heavenly lords. Since the Lord of Way and Virtue survived, the Lord of Numinous Treasures could have done the same. The more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed.

The Concealed Emperor turned to look at Perfected Huanglong and Jiang Ziya. Why couldn’t the Lord of Primordial Beginning also have survived, even if it was just an incarnation? The world would move on despite his wishes, so he kept his thoughts to himself.

Still, he wanted to try one last time. “With Founder Confucius’s support, the chances of success have risen considerably, but there are still some dangers. How about waiting until you get stronger?”

Tianyi shook his head. “I can wait, but Mother can’t. You should be aware of this.”

The Concealed Emperor did not refute his statement, but neither did he admit it. Although the Law of Light seemed to have nothing to do with souls, that was only at the worldly level and not the divine level. The initiative was not in his hands, and he could only follow the flow. “Then what should we do when the Nine Heavens Divinity takes action?”

Tianyi was also curious, so he glanced toward Confucius and Bao Ling.

“There is another, but he only recently ascended to the Divine Realm. Nor does he have any additional skills to tilt the scales in our favor,” Founder Confucius said. “He does make a good conversation partner to reminisce, though.”

The other divinities didn’t speak, unsure whether he was joking or not.

“Since everyone has come to an agreement, I’ll list all my preparations again.” Although Tianyi had already told them, it was far more detailed this time. After finishing, he snapped his fingers, and almost all the divinities except Daoyi gasped.

Their current location allowed them to see the entire Three Thousand Immortal Realms System. Next to it, they weren’t even comparable to grains of sand, but they could clearly see another system heading this way. The distance made it resemble the moon, but it was ever-growing larger the closer it got. The most shocking thing was that none of them noticed it until Tianyi pulled the veil off.

Well, most of them.

“The Spacetime Divine System currently possesses about three-quarters of the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System’s size. Of course, its foundation is far shallower. In addition, I also formed several other systems, but due to incompatibilities or other reasons, I have not fused them into one,” Tianyi said.

“Rather wondrous,” Founder Confucius said. “This old man would like to take a look. If it’s not up to standards, I will be the first to stop you from commencing the operation.”

Tianyi made a ‘please’ gesture. It wasn’t just Confucius; the other divinities were curious too. Even Yan Nie. This was the first time they had a chance to enter a system conquered by a divinity. Of course, it also came with risks, but those who feared the danger entered with incarnations.

The Concealed Emperor and Perfected Huanglong used incarnations, while everyone else entered with their true bodies. Ignoring Daoyi and Yan Nie, Tianyi’s wife and bosom friend, Founder Confucius and Bao Ling were confident in their abilities. However, everyone was puzzled by Jiang Ziya’s confidence. Did he think Tianyi would not take action against him because his granddaughter was Tianyi’s wife?

Whatever the reason, Tianyi did not stop their probes. Inside, although it was still in the early stages, it showed signs of future prosperity. Once it merged with the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System, the new system would have the foundation to reach new heights.

Of course, the merger would undoubtedly cause many changes and might even damage the newly merged system. At the very least, the Heavenly Immortal Court would protect the Primordial Realm. As for the other realms, the Heavenly Immortal Court would have their priests release news. The news might only bring panic, but it was ultimately an act by the Heavenly Immortal Court to protect their faith so that their believers would not disappear once disaster struck.

After touring the Spacetime Divine System, everyone returned to their posts, but they weren’t idling. They began making preparations, and the massive behemoth known as the Heavenly Immortal Court sprang into action. Numerous oracles descended onto the lower realms, causing both mass and minor panic.

Confucius and Bao Ling stayed in the True Nothingness. Jiang Ziya similarly didn’t return and instead appeared at Three Purities Palace to consult the two. He didn’t stay long and returned to the Primordial Realm soon after.

A muscular man wearing a pure white chiton and black-haired sighed as he stepped inside a Greek-style temple; it was the Parthenon. The man’s name was Hyllus, the son of God King Herakles, and the demigod closest to the Divine Realm in the Herakles System.

Hyllus paused and looked back. There, he could see the entirety of the Nine Hells Abyss from the entrance of the Parthenon. He was one of the many demigods or immortals who answered the call to cull the devils and prevent their proliferation.

Granted, as God King Herakles’s son, he knew it was propaganda at best. The number of devils had not reached the point where they needed to personally descend into the Nine Hells Abyss to kill as many devils as possible. It was nothing more than a way to train and temper himself.

Although he was called the man closest to god, Hyllus knew how vast the gulf between a demigod and a divinity was. Even after so many years of fighting in the Nine Hells Abyss, he had only recently seen a path to enter the Half-Divine Realm.

“Hm?”

Hyllus blinked. Aside from the Parthenon, the temple dedicated to the Goddess of Wisdom, Athena, there were two other structures revolving around the Nine Hells Abyss. They were also mobile fortresses commanded by two other pantheons, used as bases to attack the devils’ lair.

These two fortresses didn’t attract his attention; he was used to them. No, what caught his attention was a silver needle in the True Nothingness.

Most areas of the True Nothingness were almost completely dark. Even the light from distant stars could not reach them, and the Nine Hells Abyss was even more desolate. Not even a single distant star could be seen; such was the devil’s abyss.

Yet Hyllus actually saw an unidentified flying object in the distance. At first, he thought it was another mobile fortress, but as it got closer, he realized it was a system. And judging by its trajectory, it was heading toward the Nine Hells Abyss.

It was not that no one had attempted to launch a system at the Nine Hells Abyss as a nuke, but although it would open a hole through several layers, it couldn’t destroy the Nine Hells Abyss. If anything, the fractured system would be absorbed by the Nine Hells Abyss, further strengthening it in the long run.

Hyllus ran into the Parthenon and informed Orion, one of the three publicly revealed divinities of the Herakles System. Each mobile fortress was headed by a powerful divinity in case any accidents occurred in the Nine Hells Abyss.

He wasn’t the only one, as members of the other mobile fortresses also noticed the anomaly. Instantly, each temple used its own methods to contact the All Pantheon Alliance. To stop the system from crashing into the Nine Hells Abyss, demigods and even half-divinities were insufficient. Only powerful divinities could change its trajectory or destroy it.

Although they contacted the All Pantheon Alliance, they had to take action now. Orion stepped out of the temple, allowing his divine aura to spread through the True Nothingness. Similar auras appeared from the other two mobile fortresses.

The three nodded to one another and began their attack. A bow appeared in Orion’s bear-like hands, and he notched an arrow. His muscles trembled from the strain of pulling the string. A powerful and destructive aura condensed at the arrowhead. When it reached its peak, Orion released it.

The arrow flew through the True Nothingness, distorting spacetime itself wherever it passed. It seemed like an eternity, but also like an instant. The arrow reached the lance-like system.

Contrary to Orion’s expectations, the arrow didn’t pierce the barrier of the system and enter it, but was held outside by a powerful barrier. He could sense the Divine Law of Fire, the Divine Law of Water, the Divine Law of Earth, the Divine Law of Wood, and the Divine Law of Metal.

After a long time, Orion’s arrow finally pierced the barrier and shot through the lance-like system. Aside from the system’s subtle trembles, it remained unharmed. Two more attacks followed, but they were even less effective.

Orion and the other divinities frowned. If it could have been explained as an accidental collision before, they were now certain someone had masterminded this. Still, they did not stop their actions as they unleashed a barrage of attacks on the lance-like system, hoping to slow it down or change its course while waiting for reinforcements to arrive.
