Chapter 100 -100: Bewitching Black Fog

The woman in front of her had a cup of juice that apparently remained untouched.

Her jujube-red tight short sleeve clung to her body, outlining her exquisite figure. The duckbill cap pressed low on her head; from Chen Ke’s angle, he could only make out her lips painted with red lipstick.

Even without seeing her face, Chen Ke felt that she must be an enchanting beauty with fair skin, slender fingers, and purple nail polish.

On her wrist, she wore a beautiful bracelet adorned with five Holy Relics diamonds, one blue and four white…

The corners of the woman’s mouth curved slightly upward, her fingers rhythmically tapping on the table surface as if she had anticipated Chen Ke’s arrival.

“They all failed,” the woman said.

...

“It’s not too late to give up now, answer a few questions for me, and then you can leave,” Chen Ke warned.

“You sound very confident, Lin Mo,” the woman’s voice was rich with seduction.

“No room for negotiation?” Chen Ke scoffed.

“We never negotiate,” the woman chuckled.

All of a sudden, Chen Ke felt as if the surrounding air had solidified, the external noises muffled as if he and the woman were alone in an enclosed space.

“We only slaughter!”

The woman abruptly raised her head, her eyes emitting a peculiar red halo. Chen Ke locked eyes with her for just a second, merely a second, and suddenly felt his body become light.

What ability was this? Creating an enclosed space? Or mental control? Or perhaps it was an illusion?

Chen Ke tried to stabilize his emotions; in fact, his thought process hadn’t been affected. That floating sensation wasn’t an illusion but a genuine firsthand experience—this was real!

The scene of the hamburger shop around him vanished into smoke, and a red light enveloped the two of them. Merely a second had passed when Chen Ke and the woman found themselves on the top floor of a department store!

Chen Ke instinctively grabbed the woman’s wrist, where the Holy Relics bracelet was, with his left hand, and pulled out a PPQ45 with his right.

The woman smirked, a gust of wind knocked off her duckbill cap and hair tie, revealing her auburn hair fluttering in the wind, looking exceptionally captivating.

Her body suddenly darkened at high speed; her features slowly blurred into obscurity.

Chen Ke felt his hand grasp at nothing as the woman in front of him transformed into a gray-black mist and swiftly floated behind him, while her clothes remained scattered in place.

Chen Ke quickly turned around, aiming his gun at the black mist that the woman had become.

The mist halted atop an external unit of a central air conditioner, recondensing into a human shape.

The naked woman stood there without a hint of shame, displaying her well-proportioned figure, her red hair dancing behind her head—the scene suddenly became quite harmonious.

This woman’s skills were indeed numerous… the red eyes capable of carrying someone through instant teleportation and the ability to transform into a moving mist…

As for the transforming into mist… that was quite the perk… it seemed that while she could turn into a mist, her clothes couldn’t be taken along… but the Holy Relics diamond bracelet was still on her body.

“Lin Mo, if you behave, I don’t mind giving you a treat before I finish you off,” the woman laughed.

“Sorry, you’re not my type,” Chen Ke waved dismissively.

The woman snorted coldly. The Holy Relics bracelet emitted a blue and white glow, and a short sword with a strange green light appeared in the woman’s right hand while a black tight-fitting outfit materialized on her originally naked body.

The woman bit down on a red ball gag, her body wrapped in an exposed and indescribable black lingerie, with boots and gloves reaching up her knees and elbows.

“Alright, you freak,” Chen Ke shook his head and pulled the trigger, shooting at the woman.

“Huh huh…”

The woman turned into mist again, rising from the air conditioning unit and drifting toward Chen Ke.

Chen Ke kept firing, but the bullets simply passed through the mist, unable to do any tangible damage.

“Woo woo woo woo woo~~~” The woman moaned, floating above Chen Ke, and suddenly reformed into a human shape, gripping her short sword in a reverse hold and lunging at Chen Ke.

Chen Ke rolled to the side to dodge, and shot three bullets back at the woman, but she transformed into a mist again and scattered to another spot.

“What kind of skill is this… so twisted,” Chen Ke frowned. That’s when he suddenly got goosebumps.

The feeling was strange, as if someone was aiming a gun at him.

Chen Ke glanced at the life countdown timer at the corner of his eye…

“+40 minutes”

“+40 minutes”

“Life span has reached the limit”

“+40 minutes”

“+40 minutes”

“Life span has reached the limit”

His life span had long reached the limit, but the speed of increase was a bit off.

It was adding twice every second…

There was another assassin here!

Chen Ke took a deep breath, and at the same time, a red dot suddenly flashed across his field of vision.

He instantly understood something and immediately lunged, taking cover behind an external unit of a central air conditioner.

At the same time, where he had been standing, a rifle bullet sped past, hitting the frame of a neon signboard nearby, making a “bang” noise.

“Sniper!”

Chen Ke’s forehead dripped with a bead of cold sweat; so that was it!

From the beginning, on the street, it was this sniper who had initially locked onto Chen Ke!

He had been aiming from a high position but had not found the right opportunity to take the shot because Chen Ke consciously mingled in the crowd.

This behavior stemmed from the assassin’s instinct, but it fortuitously saved Chen Ke’s life.

The bullet probed; looking towards the direction from which the bullet had come, he saw a red light flash in his pupil, and he immediately crouched down; the upper part of the external air conditioning unit got pierced by a hole.

Not a semi-automatic rifle—the power wasn’t from a 5.56mm caliber bullet; the opponent must have been using a real sniper rifle.

Black fog attacked from Chen Ke’s side; the woman wanted to force him out of cover.

A green dagger extended out of the black fog, whooshing once, as the fog once again took human form.

Chen Ke snapped his fingers at the woman.

An hour’s worth of Spiritual Energy burst forth!

From Chen Ke’s fingertips, a faint white halo emitted, followed by a massive force that pushed the woman violently away.

The woman seemed to be blown into the air by Gale, then once again turned into black fog, drifting to the top of the neon sign.

Chen Ke dashed to another piece of cover below, all the while searching for the sniper’s location, and then in a corner in the distance, a red humanoid silhouette emerged.

“Found you,” said Chen Ke as he slid into a dark corner and crouched down.

“Dark Concealment 60%”

“Silence”

The woman jumped down from the neon signboard, looking around, beginning to search for Chen Ke’s whereabouts.

The sniper from a distance also peeked out from behind his cover in confusion.

The woman walked close to the dark corner where Chen Ke was; she was only a mere six or seven meters away from Chen Ke, with no obstacles in the way.

However, thanks to the effect of the suit, even as her gaze swept over Chen Ke, she automatically ignored his presence, as if Chen Ke was just a pebble. She had her back to Chen Ke and began to search elsewhere.

“Opportunity.”

Chen Ke raised his gun, aiming at the back of the woman’s head, but to be sure, he lowered the muzzle a bit, targeting her back.

“Thud, thud, thud…” The muffled sound of gas explosions erupted as the PPQ45 equipped with a silencer fired three rounds in rapid succession; as soon as the gunshots sounded, the woman suddenly turned into a cloud of black fog and drifted into the air.
