This Giant Dragon is So Powerful!-Chapter 90 - 83: Battle with the Griffin
In the northern corner of the Dark Forest, between two towering mountains, lies a vast black land in the mountain stream.
A stream about ten meters wide flows through the center of the ravine, with giant fish leaping out occasionally, their white scales shimmering with a golden hue in the sunlight.
Tall, simplistic wooden houses are scattered on both sides of the stream, with numerous Kobolds, goblins, and Giant Demons working together to build their new homes and tribes.
At a glance, it’s bustling with activity.
In mid-air, a majestic Black Dragon appears out of nowhere, holding a Little Black Dragon in each of its forepaws.
Udi released Heloise and Brook, and the two little dragons hurriedly used the Floating Skill to suspend themselves in the air.
"Big brother, where is this?" Brook looked at the formidable figures below, gulping involuntarily.
At a glance, the Dragon instinctively knew that many among these Monster Warriors possessed strength far surpassing its own, posing a deadly threat.
If not for the presence of Big Brother Udi’s aura among these warriors, Brook would have considered fleeing.
Heloise also widened her eyes, observing the scene of hectic construction below.
"This is the new territory. You’ll live here from now on, and of course, I’ll be here too," Udi replied, advising the two certainly restless little dragons,
"We’re already very close to the inner area of the Dark Forest. There are many Intermediate Demons here, and High-Level Demons appear from time to time. Don’t run around here; I don’t want to find you in demon dung."
Heloise and Brook, upon hearing how dangerous the area was, widened their pupils with some trepidation but quickly felt safe again, considering Big Brother Udi’s presence and the strong Monster Warriors on the ground.
After instructing the two little dragons, Udi ignored them, flapping his dragon wings to follow the stream upstream.
The deeper he went into the ravine, the narrower the path became, and low-level beasts and demons began appearing around him.
About seven or eight kilometers from the followers’ tribe, Udi stopped, his gaze fixed on a huge cave on the left mountain wall.
This massive cave, twenty to thirty meters in height and width, was clearly not naturally formed but excavated, evidenced by the marks along its edges.
"There’s a strong aura inside." Udi squinted his eyes and, after thinking for only a second, made his decision.
He slightly released the Magic-like Ability: Fierce Momentum, launching an audacious invasion into the depths of the cave.
Soon, a sharp, strange cry sounding like both an eagle and a beast echoed from the depths of the cave.
Accompanied by the angry roar, a giant beast with a body length exceeding ten meters stepped out; this creature possessed a lion’s body and sharp claws, an eagle’s head and wings, and it looked with furious eyes at the contemptible intruder daring to disturb its slumber... However, upon seeing Udi’s size, its pupils constricted, its anger dissipated, and with a flap of its wings, it chose to flee decisively.
"It’s a griffin." Udi was somewhat surprised, but when he saw the creature trying to run, there was no time for astonishment as he flapped his dragon wings to give chase.
The two giant beasts engaged in a pursuit, and for a moment, Udi couldn’t catch up with the creature ahead.
Adult Griffins are Advanced Demons and they’re not slow; the biological level of this particular griffin mustn’t be below Level 13, otherwise it wouldn’t be comparable to Udi’s speed.
Although Udi’s current biological level is only Level 10, with the spell-like Floating Skill plus his huge dragon wings, paired with his incredibly strong dragon body far exceeding other dragons of the same level, even a speed-focused White Feathered Owl-tailed Crane wouldn’t dare claim to be significantly faster than him.
"This Adult Black Dragon is so slow."
The griffin, madly fleeing in front, quickly realized that the Black Dragon appeared incapable of catching up to it, causing suspicion and bewilderment.
Its speed was decent compared to same-level creatures, but how could it possibly compare to an Adult Black Dragon?
Despite its confusion, the griffin dared not stop, desperately flapping its wings to gain even a slight increase in speed. One of the spell-like abilities the griffin possessed was the Floating Skill; though not as advanced as a dragon’s, the speed boost provided was still considerable.

Though the Acceleration was still entry-level, it was already nearing mastery, offering much more speed boost than at the initial entry stage. Udi felt his body lighten significantly, his wings flapping, and his speed increased remarkably.
With a rush of wind, Udi caught up with the griffin, and the fleeing griffin noticed the pursuing Black Dragon’s sudden speed increase, its soul nearly escaping in fright, thinking Udi had been toying with it.
"Damn Black Dragon!" The griffin was furious.
Just then, an acidic green dragon breath from behind raced toward it, causing the griffin to shift its body instantly, dodging the dragon breath attack.
Narrowly avoiding the acidic dragon breath, a massive, sharp water blade followed closely, aiming to slice through the griffin’s wings.
The griffin’s wings were enveloped by a green whirlwind; unwilling to verify the water blade’s power with its body, it was forced to speed up once more, agilely dodging the huge water blade.
"You’ve fallen into a trap!" Behind, Udi smirked coldly, having already successfully cast the Master Level Fourth Ring Magic ’Any Gate’.
A towering portal emitting white light appeared before Udi’s dragon body in an instant, swallowing his massive form.
The next moment, the majestic Black Dragon appeared ahead, positioned precisely at the spot where the griffin had evaded the water blade Udi used to bluff, tens of meters in front.
Already enhancing his dragon body with Returning to the True Level’s Water Element Enhancement Technique, Udi grinned as he closed in, seeing the griffin charge straight ahead.
His dragon claw slashed down swiftly like a phantom, tearing a large chunk of flesh and feathers from the griffin’s left wing. Feathers comparable to refined iron scattered down towards the stream below.
The griffin cried out in pain, realizing its injury meant it couldn’t escape; its eyes reddened, and a massive wind element gathered in its mouth, forming a spiraling green orb in its eagle beak. The next moment, the green orb launched at Udi.
Magic-like Ability — Eye of the Storm!
The small eagle-head sized spiraling green orb expanded rapidly upon leaving the mouth, covering a space of several hundred meters almost instantly, forming a Magic Domain.
At such proximity, Udi couldn’t avoid being enveloped inside. Magic-like abilities are almost instant-cast, and with thorough understanding and mastery, even the ’almost’ could be removed, allowing for direct instant-casting, its speed too quick to react.
