Alix could see the hesitation in the older man's eyes. He desired all of the orchids but he wanted knowledge far more than just taking the orchids away.

She looked up and pretended to be considering something so deeply. Then, she sighed and put a pained look on her face by twisting her lips and rolling her head around for a bit. Finally, she looked at the older man and said reluctantly, "Elder, why don't I take your information and pass it along to that guy. If he wants to contact you, he will send an email or call you."

This was better than no communication at all, she figured. The blue elf was always looking for things to do, pretending to be an expert on orchids would be a simple job for it.

"You will have to pay me well. I don't work for free. I am a gaming system but you just use me in any way you please." In her mind, she heard it speaking sarcastically.

Another business card was given to Alix. This one had the identity of the older man.

"Professor Lai Yuehansun." Alix read out. He was a university professor, expert in orchids and worked for a private biomedical research company.

"Can I at least get a name?" The professor asked her. "The expert's name." he specified.

Alix shook her head. The more mysterious the expert was, the better. She handed over an account number and the money was transferred immediately. Just like that, she had one hundred thirty five million.

She smiled more fondly at the professor then. People that were decisive when it came to money were always the best.

"Here." She handed the professor who looked reluctant to leave a flash drive. "It has all the information about the orchids, conditions under which they were raised, what they need to feed..." She looked at the musical orchid and said, "That type likes sugar water."

By her side, a very happy Jenny nodded and then frowned. What kind of flower liked sugar water? She recalled that they had all been sold and she shrugged. Who cared, they had sold out after all.

The professor, his students and body guards all started to pack away the orchids, placing the on a carts carefully under the watchful eye of the professor.

"Oh, be careful with the blood orchids..." Alix yelled.

She had just shouted it out when someone shouted in pain. It was one of the bodyguards and one of the blood orchids had it's small sharp teeth sunk into his hand.

"I am not responsible for that." Alix quickly said.

The orchids had been sold and they were no longer her responsibility. If anybody was going to be sued for the injury, it should be the professor.

"But be careful, they really do like blood." She offered the warning just in case someone else got too careless.

The professor nodded and smiled, as if Alix had shared great news. "How wonderful, we will feed them the best blood in the world."

Alix hoped the statement was less ominous than it sounded. Hopefully, they would not be sacrificing humans to the blood orchids like lunatics.

"Tsk, tsk, your imagination has started." The system commented.

"You heard him." she replied defensively. She craned her head and waved at the departing group while shouting. "Professor, animal blood is good enough."

For some reason, Jenny decided to join in and she yelled out as well, "Yes, animal blood is good enough."

She had seen those weird little teeth hiding inside the flowers and they scared her. If Alix had not warned her, she would have ended up like that bodyguard. Jenny couldn't help wondering why her director had to sell such unusual orchids. Was she in need of funds or was this a hobby?

But who cared, everything had been sold anyway which made her excited.

"Director, we did it." She did a little hop, bouncing from side to side.

Alix nodded firmly and tapped her gently on the shoulder. For all of her professionalism, Jenny had a bubbly personality at times.

"I am going to give you a bonus for sticking around this late to help me out today."

Jenny was surprised and quickly she shook her head, rejecting the offer.

"It's not necessary director. This is my job."

A job for which she was getting a double salary that was incredibly high for someone in her position.

Alix disagreed with Jenny because she was giving her the bonus whether she said yes or not. "You deserve it, don't even argue with me...."

The two aunties returned while she was still saying this to Jenny and they were taken aback. All the flowers were gone.

"Oh, what happened here? Have you packed up already?" auntie Mo asked them.

Auntie He looked at Alix with pitying eyes and she sighed. "We have found buyers for the flowers dear, you should not worry so much. They will be here in five to ten minutes so let's unpack."

"We sold out." Jenny blurted out.

Alix nodded quickly, collaborating with Jenny's joyful answer. "Everything was bought by a bio company. What did I tell you aunties? I told you that someone would come and buy everything."

Both women were surprised and their expressions showed it. They had been gone for a maximum of seven minutes and everything was sold out quickly. How amazing!

"Pretty baby." Auntie Mo squealed.

She hugged Alix and even attempted to lift her but she was not as strong as she thought.

In the end, it was Alix that lifted her and even twirled her around for a bit as they celebrated.

When Alix put her auntie Mo down, auntie He said with a playful smile on her face, "I am jealous. I want to be carried too."

Alix extended her hands to her but she laughed and stepped aside. "No, no, no....I am a grown woman. I will be embarrassed if you carry me in public."

All the women laughed and the smiles on their faces seemed as if they would never fade. The mood was now very different from the earlier one which had been hopeless.

"Aunties, shouldn't you be cancelling your plans now? Tell your friends or my brothers that everything is sold out."

They started making phone calls upon hearing her reminder and she sent a text as well, telling her husband that she would soon be home.

"You haven't wished your sister a happy birthday by the way." The system reminded her.

Alix recalled that she had leaked Lin Billi's real birthday online. It had been somewhat of a hot topic online today. Because it was not the birthday her fans were debating about it's being a truth or a lie.

"I might as well as add fuel to the flames." Alix muttered as she started to post on weibo.

The only Songbird: Happy birthday my sister Lin Billi, thirty two already. Oh how old we have grown!!
