Absent from this emotional re-union, Alix was on the set of let's get physical. After the airing of the first three episodes, the show settings changed and it was broadcast live. Special episodes with VIP access were aired of course for extra pay.

She had taken Majesty with her as she always did. Currently, they were in an auditorium waiting for instructions to be given. Most of the contestants were sitting in groups or pairs with their partners.

She and Pan Ji De were sitting in the same area, Majesty was between them, sleeping on her bag. Alix had a violin in her hand, and she was playing music.

Normally, she would be munching on something or just staring idly at the others but Jin Kang had signed her up for the National players music violin competition. As stated, it was a competition for violin players from all around the country and the grand prize was five hundred thousand yuan.

It was held right there in the city of Beijing so she wouldn't have to travel which she liked. She only wanted to travel for competitions that mattered to her personally. Alix was joining this one for the exposure of Songbird music academy, not the grand prize.

As for piano, she was waiting for the Shanghai International piano competition. The age limit for it was thirty two and she had just one chance to win it. That chance would be her first and last opportunity because age was not on her side. She wanted to win it because her mother had won it at twenty two.

She skipped a note because her mind was filled with random thoughts. With a wince, she lowered her arms and the violin and she took a deep breath.

She knew that Caishen had gone to meet his father and she was wondering how it was going. If only she had cameras and extra eyes to watch everything at the same time.

She sighed, and turned the violin music sheet to the beginning and decided to start again. Just as she was setting herself, she sound a sound in her mind.

Ding! A new mission for the host.

[The city lord is hosting a celebration for the safe return of his daughter. The host must take on one of the tasks related to the celebration.]

She put the violin down and picked up her phone first and pretended that she was looking at something. She accessed her virtual screen, connected to the virtual gaming world and stopped by the closest task hall.

It was dark in the gaming world, night had fallen. Most business were closed with the exception of those that were related to pleasure, food and drinks.

A few players were in the task hall. Some turned their heads and looked at her. She was still one of the most discussed players after the victory she had stolen with the teleportation scroll.

She ignored them, acting as if their gazes didn't bother her and her eyes perused the newly dropped tasks. It was easy to spot the one related to the city lord. A big red declaration of special tasks announced it.

The tasks were different and carried different rewards. One required a player to design the best dress for the city lord's daughter. Another required a player to present the sweetest fruit of this world to the her. Another required a player or players to present the best dance for her.

All those held no interest to Alix until she came across a task which required a player or players to put on the best musical performance for her. The task was like ice cream with a cherry on top because the reward was another map to the dark wizard's tower.

"Now this is more my speed." she mumbled.

She accepted that task immediately.

"You have enough maps to qualify for the final showdown. Why are you choosing that task?" the system asked her.

"Oh, my darling C-101, don't you know that every map counts? Six maps qualifies me to participate in the final showdown but it doesn't draw out the path for us. The more maps we have, the easier it will be for you to tell me which corners to avoid and what's hiding in what dark shadowy rooms."

She left the task hall immediately and flew to the inn to pay a visit to pay a brief visit to her guild. They had one more member, and an official employee. An NPC that Hero had hired to be their manager.

Some of the other players took her place immediately whispering about what she had been doing. When a specific task was taken off board, it was indicated along with the player who was undertaking it.

"I knew it, she took on a task with a reward as a map."

"Those are the only tasks she ever takes. Haven't you heard?"

"I bet their guild has like five maps."

"Or six maps already. Apart from the Cruel guild, no other guild has come out to declare that they have all the necessary maps."

"But it wouldn't be fair for those who have six maps to take on tasks whose rewards are maps. That's just being greedy."

"We are all in competition for the same rewards. There is no such thing as fairness. It's war, you better wake up."

"Look, there are four more tasks with maps as rewards, I am going to choose one. Present the most beautiful jewel in this world to the city lord's daughter. This is easy."

That task was chosen by the lich and he left. When he left, the dwarf, with a sneer on his face said, "What a fool. Does he know the definition of beauty in the eyes of the city lord's daughter?"

There was another task for providing the best alcohol for the celebration. The dwarf chose that task and also left the task hall.

Twelve minutes later, Alix disconnected from the virtual world. When she raised her head, one cat and one man were hovering over her. Both, on different sides of her shoulders, looking at her phone.

She ignored the cat and tilted her body away from Pan Ji De. She looked at him suspiciously and folded her fist instinctually. One wrong move and he would kiss her knuckles, painfully.

"What are you doing?" she asked him. A married woman and a single man should not be that close unnecessarily.

"What are you playing?" he pointed to her phone and responded.

She unclenched her fist and gestured for him to move away from her. "Move, there are cameras everywhere. This is a live broadcast, you will create ugly rumors. My grandfather told me to make sure that I am not shipped with anyone."
