The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 192: Bad sons, maybe
Zhang Bo was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed across his chest. With a very deliberate gaze, his eyes roamed over Wang Yue, the man who may or not be his father. For so long, he had wondered what it would be like when he met the man face to face.
Would he be emotional? Would he be cold? Would he cry?
He had asked himself this many times and he anticipated that he would have some kind of reaction and yet, now face to face with him, all he felt was emptiness.
There was no attachment on his end. He was staring at a stranger. Maybe when the DNA results came out, he would feel different.
As for Zhang An, she was just confused. While Zhang Bo thought this man was no better than a stranger, she felt it even more than any of her siblings. She had been too young when he died___, or disappeared. She could hardly construct his face in her mind without looking at his pictures.
In the small sea of people in the room she was the perhaps lost more than anyone else.
The doors were opened and Jacob walked in with two doctors and one of the other lawyers who often followed him.
He acknowledged Caishen with a nod of his head since he was the closest to the entrance of the room.
Then, he and the doctors approached elder Zhang and handed him a sealed envelope.
With trembling hands, grandpa Zhang took the envelope. It wasn't just the trembling of his hands which gave away his fear but the way he was blinking rapidly too.
If these results were not what he expected, the old man would probably have to be admitted immediately. His expectations were great, the only result he wanted was a positive one.
"I will do it. Zhang Bo said.
He took the envelope from the elder and unsealed it roughly, almost tearing the top half off completely.
He took a look at the single document inside and then at his grandfather.
"It's him." He said.
With two words, he confirmed the identity of Wang Yue, now Zhang Xian, returned from the dead.
Grandma Zhang's body suddenly lost strength and she slid downwards. Tears were rolling down her eyes and a heart wrenching cry choked in her throat.
Grandpa Zhang was struggling to hold her up while Zhang An and Zhang Bo rushed in to help steady her and put her back on her feet.
Attorney Jacob stepped in with the doctor and the other lawyer. They all helped grandma Zhang onto the hospital bed. Just as they predicted, one of the elders would need to be admitted after the revelation of the DNA results.
Grandma Zhang was unsettled, she kept her eyes on Wang Yue, calling for him and struggling against the jands which were trying to help her.
"Xian, Xian, it's me mother. Xian..."
Wang Yue just stood there, puzzled, staring at the elderly woman and making no move to go to her. This seemed to cause greater pain to grandma Zhang and her cries became louder.
"Xian, please, you must remember me. I am your mother, son, I have brought along pictures of us together. Xian, I know you from top to bottom. You have a half moon like birthmark on your left buttock. I used to call you my little moon because of it. Don't you remember?"
As she desperately revealed this in tears, she tried to get down from the bed.
Grandpa Zhang was trying to be strong but he looked like he would break at any second. The reunion was not going as he expected. Their son, really didn't remember them.
"She needs something to help her calm down." Zhang Bo told the doctor.
Ten minutes later, grandma Zhang was sedated and some calm was restored.
The Zhang's and the Wang's were now back to facing each other and enduring the awkward and cruel reality. Nobody had any idea what to say.
Attorney Jacob and everyone that was not a member of the family stepped out, giving them room to talk privately.
Grandpa Zhang went first. Zhang Bo pulled out a chair for him and he sat down.
He looked at the Wang's one by one and said in a strained voice, "I should apologize for the way this has been sprung on you. I didn't know how else to handle the matter. When we found out about you Xian, I couldn't stay still." Tears fell from the elder's eyes and he shook his head.
"I am a bad father. I should have continued searching for you. I should never have have allowed them to declare you dead. Xian, father is sorry, father is so sorry. You must have been living a very hard life out there without me."
Grandpa Zhang was sobbing openly like a child, Yura was hiding her face in her hands, sobbing silently. Zhang An, was crying too, which surprised Caishen. She had her arms around their mother's shoulders and he couldn't tell if she was crying for her mother, her father or she was hurt seeing her grandfather in tears.
Zhang Bo had given up on all pretense and he had a cigarrete in his hands, unlit though.
Wang Yue finally melted. Perhaps it was the distress of seeing an old man cry so emotionally or the prompting of Wang Yong and Na Na, he finally approached grandpa Zhang.
He reached his hand down carefully and touched grandpa Zhang's back.
"Elder, it's okay." he said.
From so close, his scar could be seen much more vividly. It was a deep cut that dug into his forehead and run down to his left cheek. His left hand, from what could be seen also had scars similar to those left by burn marks. The accident had left him with very bad injuries, it seemed.
Caishen felt guilty now. All of his thoughts had been on the negative side of his father returning home. He worried about his mother, his siblings, the company, the murderous brother, the side wife.

He had not once thought about what his father had endured and the pain he had suffered. Looking at those scars, he couldn't help thinking that he and Zhang Bo were bad sons perhaps.
This situation was not about them alone, their father too was probably just as confused and afraid. He was an ordinary factory worker and now he had been plucked out of his life and told he was the only son of the first branch of the Zhang family.
He had parents, a wife and three children. He was bound to be struggling with his new reality and this would be the beginning of his identity crisis.
He and Zhang Bo must have shared similar thoughts because his brother approached him and put a hand on his shoulder. Caishen looked up at him and Bo nodded.
They both looked at him with veiled emotions in their eyes. "Father, welcome home." Bo said.
