The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 138: Punishment
"Looks like you’re in a good mood tonight."
Corbin Crowley’s silver eyes glimmered with a dangerous light under the moon, his well-defined fingers tracing the graceful curve of her waist, gently outlining it as his deep voice resonated, "Does touching a fox tail feel good? How does it compare to my wolf tail?"
Luna Sutton felt a fine shiver on the back of her neck, but she smiled lightly, "What, even the mighty sixth-tier Silver-moon Grey Wolf gets jealous..."
Before she finished speaking, she was flipped over onto the beast skin blanket.
Corbin’s long hair, black as ink, draped beside her face as his throat moved, his voice seeming to come from his chest, resonating with a deep vibration, "It seems I’ve spoiled you too much..."
He leaned down and bit her earlobe, slightly exerting force, with a hint of punishment.
"Hiss..."
Luna winced in pain, her fingertips instinctively pinching his tense waist muscles. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
She never imagined this dog of a man would bite her.
Just as she was about to kick him away.
Suddenly, the sound of dry branches breaking came from outside the cave.
Corbin’s silver eyes instantly turned cold, and he grabbed the beast skin blanket to cover Luna’s body.
He got up and walked to the cave entrance, his gaze scanning the surroundings, finding no person or animal.
Just as he was about to turn back into the cave, he saw a twisted, elongated shadow projected by the moonlight on the stone wall side of the cave.
"Ha... so it was you."
Corbin’s eyes turned icy as he instantly knew who was in the shadows, but he didn’t intend to care, stepping back into the cave.
Inside the cave.
Luna had just lifted the beast skin blanket and sat up when she felt something cool and icy wrap around her waist.
She looked down and saw a snake tail, black as ink, slowly tightening, with a hint of possessiveness.
She instantly recognized it was Rhys Blackwood and felt speechless, why are all these people so elusive?
She couldn’t help but roll her eyes, "Rhys, since when did you learn to climb walls? Acting as if you’re having an affair?"
Rhys chuckled softly, a flash of black light, and instantly transformed into human form, his calm and profound face emerging from the shadows, his big hand wrapped around her waist from behind.
His voice was deep and hoarse, with a lazy magnetism, "Climbing walls? I’m a snake; isn’t that my nature? Corbin, however, came even earlier than I did."
Saying this, he looked at Corbin, who had entered the cave with an extremely gloomy face, his expression filled with a hint of provocation and jealousy.
Corbin’s silver eyes were as cold as ice, staring at Rhys as if wishing to tear him apart.
He strode over, his voice deep and dangerous, "Rhys, what are you doing here at midnight when you’re not in the cave sleeping?"
This question was obviously rhetorical.
Rhys looked at Corbin expressionlessly, tightening his arm, almost enclosing Luna entirely in his embrace.
"You came too, didn’t you?"
This was throwing the question back.
Corbin was momentarily choked, his face extremely unpleasant, his voice extremely cold, "Rhys, you’re seeking death."
Rhys, however, didn’t care at all, the corners of his mouth curling up in a lazy smile, his slender fingers softly brushing Luna’s hair, his voice carrying a hint of provocation, "Corbin, we’re both Cynthia’s Beast Husbands. She allows you to stay, so naturally, she can allow me too."
"Ha—"
Corbin coldly laughed, his aura suddenly sinking, his silver eyes seeming to brew a storm, "You think I’d let you stay here?"
Rhys raised his eyebrows slightly, his deep eyes profound as night, his voice deep and hoarse, "Corbin, who do you think you are? Cynthia never said only you can be here."
Luna was wedged between the two, feeling the tension between them, and couldn’t help but rub her temples.
All she felt was a thousand alpacas galloping past.
She suddenly broke free from Rhys’ embrace, got off the stone bed.
Standing between the two, hands on her hips, she spoke impatiently, "You two, enough!"
Corbin and Rhys were both stunned, their eyes simultaneously turning to her.
She glared at them, her tone fierce, "This is my cave, not your battlefield. Corbin, aren’t you leaving for The Salt Lake first thing tomorrow? Go back to sleep and rejuvenate."
After speaking, she turned to Rhys, her tone unpleasant, "Rhys, you’re going to The Salt Lake tomorrow too. Roaming around at midnight, climbing walls? Do you think it looks particularly cool?"
Luna unleashed a torrent of angry words, pointing aggressively at the cave entrance, her gaze sharp, "You two, go back to sleep right now, immediately!"
Corbin’s silver eyes narrowed slightly, his expression displeased.
But in the end, he coldly snorted, turned, and strode out of the cave.
Before leaving, he gave Rhys a cold glance full of warning.
Rhys remained expressionless, his demeanor austere, casting a faint glance at Luna, his voice deep and concise, "Get some rest."
After saying this, he turned into a black shadow, silently disappearing into the night.
She breathed a sigh of relief, massaging her temples, internally complaining: These people really give me a headache.
She blocked the wooden door at the cave entrance, ensuring no one would enter, yawned, and turned to climb onto the stone bed to sleep.
At dawn the next day, faint morning light seeped through the cave entrance halfway up the mountain, spilling into Kaelen Vance’s cave.
The air was laced with a subtle, ambiguous atmosphere.
Mia, draped in a beast skin, had a slightly flushed face, but her eyes were filled with anxiety and urgency.
She turned to look at Kaelen, her voice soft and probing, "Kaelen, last night... what you promised me, don’t forget it."
Kaelen leaned languidly against the stone wall, his black hair disheveled on his shoulders, his gaze satisfied and playful.
He lifted his hand, gently caressing Mia’s chin, his voice deep and lazy, "Don’t worry, what I promise, I will do."
After speaking, he flipped out of bed, wrapping the beast skin around him, turning his back on Mia, "I’ll find a chance to come back. Then, you find a way to lure her to the tribal back mountain, and I’ll lay in ambush there."
Mia breathed a sigh of relief, a vicious gleam flashing in her beautiful eyes, and couldn’t help but urge, "You have to come back quickly. Don’t let that ugly freak find out."
Kaelen glanced back at her, a cold smile tugging at his lips, "Why rush? No matter how ugly she was, that’s the past. Now she’s much better than you are, just a bit plump."
Mia’s face froze, her fingers clenching tightly, nails almost digging into her palms.
She suppressed her anger, forcing a smile, "You’re right, but once her face is ruined, she’ll be uglier than before."
Kaelen let out a light snort, saying no more as he turned and walked out of the cave, his figure soon disappearing into the morning light.
Meanwhile, Luna Sutton leisurely stretched outside her cave, squinting around. Seeing the tribe empty, with hardly a Beastman in sight.
"All set, have Corbin and the others departed?"
She couldn’t help but ask the system internally.
The system immediately came online, lazily responding, "Yes, they’ve been gone for about half an hour, and Kaelen went with them. However, he might find a chance to come back, and then, Host, you’ll be in danger."
"Danger?"
Luna narrowed her eyes, smiling lightly, "Perhaps so, but this is also a great chance to catch them all in one go."
The system perked up with interest, asking, "Host, do you have a plan?"
"Since Kaelen wants to play dirty, we’ll play big with him."
She raised an eyebrow, "Keep an eye on him for me. When he returns, we’ll catch him like a turtle in a jar."
The system was exultant, "Host, how do you plan to catch him?"
Luna laughed softly, "He wants Mia to lure me to a secluded place? Then I’ll go, but I’ll have Father send Wolf One and Wolf Two ahead to set an ambush. Once Kaelen shows up, we’ll see how he walks into our trap and we’ll deal with Mia too."
The system clicked its tongue in approval, "Host, you’re quite ruthless, but I like it!"
She smiled, "He wants to harm me, so since he’s coming to deliver himself, I won’t be polite."
Then, she frowned and continued, "However, how to explain this to Father is still an issue. Kaelen hasn’t acted yet, and now he’s off to The Salt Lake with Corbin, with just my words alone, Father might not believe me."
