(From Blue’s Perspective)

"Ah, your mother is a nurse and she also runs this place?" I asked.

"My mother is needed during wars mostly. That’s why this place is popular among knights. They would come here for Mother’s food. Everyone loves the food she makes. Father is away. He is the one who usually runs this place."

"I see."

The food was served. I was very surprised to discover how great the food was.

"It’s really good. Isn’t it, honey?" I exclaimed.

"Yes, it is good," Dem nodded.

Dion also seemed to like the milk pudding. It was not too sweet, which was to his taste.

"The food here is really good. We love it," I said to the mother and daughter.

"We are glad. I hope the lady will come back again and again," the mother said.

"Lady, you have beautiful eyes," the girl said. "They are a pretty blue."

"Oh my, thank you," I smiled.

"The baby also has beautiful eyes. It’s my first time seeing black eyes," the girl said.

"Black eyes are very rare, after all," I said.

"Yeah, that’s true," she said.

It was pretty fun eating there. The food was absolutely amazing and the people were great too. When we were leaving, the father and the son returned, who were also friendly people. Even Dem had to admit that it was a pretty decent place.

The uneasy feeling that had been in my mind because of what happened in our bathroom was not haunting me too much.

I wore Dion on my chest using a very long piece of fabric. I learned this technique from one of the maids. It was a very useful thing since my baby was very clingy. It was easier to do things this way.

"Let’s go now where you wanted to take me the other night," I said.

"It’s not beautiful when it’s daytime," Dem said.

"Come on. That place looked like it would be beautiful regardless of the time. Besides, it’s not even about the place. It’s about the people we are with," I said.

"If you wish this so much…"

I knew how the place looked. I did not remember it too well, but it was enough. I held Dem’s hand and we teleported to that place.

Well, it looked different and definitely not as beautiful as the evening or night. But it still was a striking place.

Dion looked as much as he could excitedly because there were many trees. He was giggling, looking between the trees and me as if trying to tell me that there were trees here.

"Yes, honey, there are trees here," I chuckled and looked at Dem. "He is excited."

"He is really expressive," Dem said, poking Dion’s cheek with his finger. Everyone liked to touch his cheeks, including me. After all, his cheeks were so chubby that everyone felt the need to touch them.

"Do you want to touch the trees?" I asked my son, who I was not sure if understood, but giggled excitedly anyway.

I took him near one of the trees and touched it with his palm. He looked surprised.

"What, baby? You are surprised? What did you think trees would feel like?" I laughed.

"Let’s hope he is not disappointed because trees don’t lighten up when he touched them," Dem said.

"Come on, he is too young to even expect that, let alone be disappointed," I said. "That’s why I am saying how it is an absurd idea that he might have a power related to trees. Like he is too young. How can he even…?"

"I could be wrong, however, I am almost entirely sure that I am not wrong," he said. "I am never wrong, Blue."

I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Well, almost never," he corrected himself.

The pond in the middle was gorgeous. The water was clean and clear. I sat down on the edge with Dem. I still did not know how to swim, but with my power, I could save myself just fine.

"It’s chilly," I murmured while feeding Dion. Although I was wearing a cloak, I got goosebumps because of the chilly weather.

"It might even rain. The weather is not that good," Dem said.

"Dion has never been in the rain," I said.

"Nah, he doesn’t need to. He is gonna catch a cold. And you too. Both of you have problems with cold," Dem said. "Now that I think about it, Dion has almost all the things you have, except for his face. For example, like you, he is a picky eater."

"You are a picky eater too. You don’t like sandwiches and try to avoid them. Actually, you don’t like it when breads are topped with something and don’t eat them. Besides, all your food has to have a low level of spice because your weakass cannot handle anything spicy."

"You also don’t like anything sweet. Dion doesn’t like too sweet things as well. He liked today’s milk pudding because it wasn’t too sweet. I tasted it. The other day, I have him a bit of my cake and he hated it. Then, I tried with a little bit of melted chocolate which he hated too.

On the other hand, although just a little more than six months, he had a bit of that pasta with you. I swear that thing is spicy."

"Aren’t you the abnormal one here? Even a six-month-old has high spice tolerance than you," I said.

Dem was bluffing. It was not even spicy. How did he want to have pasta then? Only boiled?

"He also hates it when someone yells, just like you."

"Come on, Dem. Who likes it when someone yells?" I rolled my eyes.

"Nah, Blue. I noticed it a lot of times. He acts just like you."

"He is clingy like you."

"You also cling to me when we sleep."

"The same goes for you."

"You just won’t admit that he is exactly like you."

Actually, I knew Dion had a personality similar to mine. It was not too easy to understand as he was too little. But as much as I could understand, he acted like me. But I did not want to admit it just like that. It was not like I was not happy about it. I was.

I truly was very happy. However, I wanted to make Dem see what his childhood would have been like. He always believed his personality was weird and no one would accept him. I wanted him to see that someone with his personality could be accepted too. I just wanted to make him feel normal and at ease.

"The water is so clear. It makes me want to learn how to swim," I said.

"You should. That’s the barest necessity to live," Dem said. "You should have learned it when I told you to."

"It scares me a little," I said.

"Even our son is going to get his first swimming session next week."

I was very careful about Dion’s safety, so Kade was going to give Dion swimming lessons. Kade was the general of the knights now and I found out he taught all his younger siblings how to swim when they were just six months old. Well, it was not exactly teaching them how to swim. It was more like teaching the children how to float.

At least, they would not drown even when they would fall into the water.

"I should probably tell Kade to teach me how to swim as well," I said, eyeing Dem so I would not miss his reaction.

"You better be joking, darling. There is no way I am letting someone else teach you how to swim when I can do it," he said, a little dangerously.

I chuckled and slapped him on the shoulder. "Just kidding. Maybe you should teach me how to swim. Although I think I can save myself just fine using my power even if I fall into the water. If I can’t, now that’s gonna make my power useless."
